We covered in early March the hilarious but tragically funny tale of Air America's imminent demise in New York City, of all places. At that time, the date of March 31 seemed to be set in concrete. Of course, the slovenly scumsuckers at Air America got an extension to August 31. It has been announced, however, that that date is the final one - and Air America will go silent in one of the capitals of liberalism.
Air America to Lose NY Flagship
Air America Radio will lose its New York flagship station, WLIB-AM, on Aug. 31. While the left-leaning radio network’s original lease for the Inner City station ran out March 31, AAR managed to get an extension which only lasts until Aug. 31, according to an informed source.
Through an agreement with ICBC, WLIB will be operated as a joint venture and programmed by P1, a company run by former Clear Channel and Jacor Communications executive Randy Michaels. Michaels is expected to program a progressive-talk format, but replace AAR’s network programming with more local programming. A likely addition to the new lineup: Ed Schultz, the left-of-center talker syndicated by P1.
“To be clear, Air America will not go silent on the New York City airwaves. We do not, however, comment on hypothetical speculation,” said an AAR spokesperson.
Of course they will not go "silent." They will just be off the air, which is basically the same thing - unless you are a liberal, in which case it could mean a whole host of things not based in reality. We have demonstrated on this site, time and time again, how liberals saying one thing means another, or the complete opposite.
Maybe Al Franken and his sickly band of Marxist assholes can sit in a phone booth and yell their heads off. They will probably get higher ratings there than they currently get.
Those peaceful Muslims*, hell bent on either making the world all Muslim or destroying it, are now asking media outlets to stop using the terms "Islamic terrorism" and "jihad" because - get this one - it makes Islam "look bad."
That part about flying planes into buildings and hacking off people's heads was somehow missed in this discussion.
A Place for 'Hirabah' in the Lexicon on Terrorism
There have been calls from certain Muslim and Western quarters that militant Islamism be identified as "hirabah" (Arabic for "terrorism") instead of jihadism, and that militant Islamists be called "irhabiyoun" ("terrorists"). The argument is that the use of terminology derived from the word "jihad" accords these militant actors a degree of legitimacy.
The Muslims and non-Muslims calling for the use of "hirabah" terminology have unique motivations for doing so. For Muslims, the terminology allows them to make the case that militant Islamists constitute a fringe that has nothing to do with Islam.
If any media outlet caves into this kind of nonsense, every member of that outlet should be fired.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the fucking psychotic head of Iran, apparently smells worse than a corpse, a text message sent to the fucking Islamic nutjob says.
We knew Mahmoudy was a lunatic - but he stinks, too? Who'd a thunk it?
IRAN: TEXT MESSAGE TELLS PRESIDENT HE SHOULD WASH MORE
Tehran, 14 April (AKI) - Iran's hardline president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has apparently been incensed by an anonymous text message suggesting he does not wash enough. Ahmadinejad has taken legal action over the offending text, has fired the president of a phone company and has had four people arrested and accused of colluding with the Israeli foreign intelligence service, Mossad, the anti-government website Rooz Online reports.
Yep...Mossad and Israel cause this Islamic whacko not to bathe at least once a year. Yep.
Poor Mahmoudy. He smells like the goat he fucks, which doubles as his wife.

Mary voted Democrat in the last election. Now, she suffers from a rare disease which happens when you try to get liberals into power.
Mary feels like shit. Next time, she intends to vote Republican, and avoid the shitty feelings.

You know you live in a great neighborhood when you have your "local" market, your "local" gas station, and your "local" restaurant. The word local conveys a sense of closeness, of security.
Now imagine having "your local al-Qa'ida leader." According to the AP, this is another name for the latest Islamic terrorist slimeball to be caught and killed by American forces in Iraq.
By the way, what exactly is a "local al-Qa'ida leader"? Isn't that "a scumbag Muslim terrorist who is hiding in one place and blowing shit up and happens to be too close to your personal space"?
Not to the AP it isn't.
Local al-Qaida Leader in Iraq Killed
Iraqi forces killed a local al-Qaida in Iraq leader and two other insurgents in a raid north of Baghdad on Friday, and roadside bombs killed an American soldier and an Iraqi policeman, officials said.
Iraqi commando forces acting on a tip raided a house where Hamid al- Takhi and the two other insurgents were hiding in Samarra, a city 60 miles north of Baghdad, said police Capt. Laith Mohammed. All three were killed in a gunbattle.
Mohammed said al-Takhi had been responsible for many insurgent attacks against coalition forces and civilians in the area.
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the leader of al-Qaida in Iraq _ the country's most feared insurgent group _ appeared in a video earlier this week trying to rally Sunni Arabs to fight Iraq's new government and denouncing Sunnis who cooperate with it as "agents" of the Americans.
Wow! Al-Qa'ida is "the most feared insurgent group"!
Next the AP will tell us they are just misunderstood Muslims with access to a lot of bomb-making material who have a grudge.
Here's a scenario for you: a Downie in the US Senate is down in the polls, and all the Republicans need do is put up a good candidate and they can capture the seat. They find one - and he has a great shot of taking the seat. Downies are mortified - but, wait! Alas, alack! The Republican is caught with his hand in the cookie jar, and has to withdraw from the race. Can you imagine the press corps in this country and their headlines? "Republican Corruption Loses Opportunity for Senate Pick-up," one could say. The NY Times would rail against another Republican who was part of Nancy Pelosi's "culture of corruption."
Now, imagine the complete opposite - and take notice how Downies make not a sound, nor the media, when one of their own gets caught being a crook.
The silence is deafening. But it is hilarious.
R.I. Democrat Drops Out of Senate Race
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Matt Brown, Rhode Island's secretary of state, abandoned his bid Wednesday for the U.S. Senate seat occupied by Sen. Lincoln Chafee after questions surfaced over his fundraising practices.
Brown, a Democrat, cited money problems and endorsed his opponent for his party's nomination, former Attorney General Sheldon Whitehouse.
"I simply will not have the resources in the final stretch to run successfully," Brown told reporters.
In the Republican primary, Chafee faces Cranston Mayor Stephen Laffey.
While Brown had a strong showing in a poll conducted by Brown University early this year, he has since acknowledged asking his most generous donors to contribute money to state Democratic parties in Hawaii, Maine and Massachusetts after those parties gave his campaign $25,000. The donors had already contributed the maximum amount allowed by law to Brown's campaign.
Critics accused Brown of trying to circumvent campaign finance laws, and the Republican parties in Hawaii and Rhode Island sent a complaint to the Federal Elections Commission asking for an investigation.
Brown denied the allegations — which seemed to undercut his platforms of clean government and campaign finance reform — but returned the money.
Nancy Pelosi (D-Nutjob) had no comment.

Liberals believe in free speech - until someone utters speech they do not like. If you want to make a liberal mad, say something or do something they disagree with, then stand back and watch the fur fly.
Here is an example of "do as I say, not as I do": a liberal professor who did not like a display of crosses which protested abortions being done tore them down - and, after she and her students were arrested, her lawyer now uses the novel approach that the display was a "threat," and thus she could act against it.
If only this were a comedy, it would be funny - but it is fucking pathetic.
Prof, others charged in cross case
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS - A professor and six students at Northern Kentucky University were charged Wednesday with misdemeanors related to the April 12 destruction of an anti-abortion display on campus.
Sally Jacobsen of the literature and language department, has been charged with criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking and criminal solicitation. The third charge relates to evidence that she encouraged students to participate in the destruction, County Attorney Justin Verst said.
The six students, who range in age from 21 to 27, were charged with criminal mischief and theft by unlawful taking.
The theft charge is a class A misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and a $500 fine.
The criminal mischief and solicitation charges are class B misdemeanors punishable by up to 90 days in jail and a $250 fine.
Verst said additional students might be charged as their identities become known.
Four hundred crosses representing aborted fetuses were pulled from the ground and thrown in trash cans around campus.
A sign explaining the temporary display, which had been approved by university officials as an expression of free speech, was also removed.
Jacobsen told reporters that she had "invited" students in her graduate-level British literature course to exercise free-speech by destroying the display.
She said she was offended by the simulated cemetery, which she considered intimidating and harmful to women who might be considering abortions. NKU's campus newspaper, the Northerner, published photos of Jacobsen dismantling part of the display.
Jacobsen will plead not guilty, Grubbs said. Grubbs said the dismantling of the display doesn't amount to a criminal act.
"The intent was just an expression of freedom of speech," Grubbs said. "She saw harm coming from it, and she was just expressing her attitude towards the harm."
So, there you have it: according to liberals, destroying something that someone is using to illustrate a point someone disagrees with is not a crime - it is free speech.
Now, pro-lifers can go and firebomb abortion clinics, because, according to this liberal crap, there is a threat to pro-life views and something must be done about it.
Find me a court that buys this shit and I will be amazed.
Only in liberalfantasyland is this kind of garbage even permissible.

It has become almost common knowledge since 9/11 that the Left wishes to visit upon the terrorists who perpetrated that crime, and all terrorists crimes, the feelings of mercy, understanding, and compassion. After all, goes the liberal argument, you have to understand Muslim terrorists because they have something to say. You cannot fight them, you cannot mistreat them (and jail - hell no!), you cannot harm them. You must understand their plight, find common ground so we can talk to them about their feelings of hatred for us.
Well, we found another liberal who shows his utter denselessness and lack of a brain by claiming in a review of the new film "United 93," about the plane which crashed in Pennsylvania when the people on board fought the Muslim hijackers, that the terrorists' families were not "consulted" about the film when the victims' families were.
Perhaps, when a movie about Ted Bundy comes out, we need to talk to his family to get a feeling of what it must have been like to live with killing dozens of women.
Review: United 93
...but it is the only one I've come across where the families of those onboard gave it their full-on approval. Not all the families, of course. All evidence suggests that the terrorists' relatives were left entirely out of the creative process, an action which goes a way toward revealing the film's hagiographic bias (how easy it then becomes to turn victims into heroes and adversaries into monsters) and points up the general ridiculousness of involving the families in the first place (too many cooks spoiling an already rancid broth).
That's right, folks - this leftist imbecile believes that if you show Muslim terrorists to be, well, terrorists, who killed innocent people, and you show the innocent people who fought them to be, well, heroes, then this is a bad thing.
His e-mail address appears when you click his name at the bottom. Do so, and send him this message: YOU ARE AN ASSHOLE.
Liberal thinking: twisted, sick, and out of touch with all traces of reality.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer is another far left media outlet in a town where that kind of shit appears to be in vogue. But when a far left newspaper retracts its endorsement of former mayor of Cleveland and current Representative (and full on nutcase) Dennis Kucinich because he is too far left, that just shows how pathetic American liberalism truly is.
Endorsement: Barbara Anne Ferris
It is extremely unusual for a newspaper to withdraw its endorsement from an incum bent it has supported for years - the more so when that officeholder is a con gressman with an interna tional reputation, and the race is a primary election that he almost certainly will win.
Nonetheless, that is what The Plain Dealer does today. In the Democratic contest between five-term Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich and his challenger, nonprofit executive Barbara Anne Ferris, this page endorses Ferris as the Democrat more in tune with the community, its needs and its future.
And that, sadly, is more than we can say for the approach Kucinich, 59, has taken in recent years.
Rather than focusing on the real and immediate needs of this district, which encompasses the West Side of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County's western suburbs, Kucinich has been on a quixotic journey of increasingly grandiose proportions. He spent much of 2004 on a one-man campaign for president of the United States, having cobbled together a creaky, left-slanted platform upon which his party would not set foot, but which he would not abandon. And though he says he has no plans to resume that quest next year, he declines to rule it out.
Now, America is a wonderful country, where anyone can aspire to the presidency. But, left here in the dust of Kucinich's globe-trotting quest, his constituents can only wonder: What might have been accomplished for the 10th District had those energies been channeled into pursuing its interests, rather than those of its congressman?
Another factor in this decision has been Kucinich's regression to the belligerent, us-against-them mindset that made him the one-term "boy mayor" who led Cleveland into default in the 1970s. His preference for confrontation over cooperation did Cleveland no good then; it does the region no good now.
How Kucinich, an ugly little know-nothing of a creep whose toupee is as frightening as his ideas, thought he could run for President and somehow win is demonstrative of his inability to be rational. Is mental illness the problem?
Then again, he is a liberal. That could explain it.

A young boy was killed in Belgium by Muslim thugs who have emigrated to that country and are running crime rings and gangs.
Will Europe take notice, or continue to coddle Muslims?
Thousands march in Brussels in memory of teen
BRUSSELS (Reuters) - More than 80,000 people marched in silence through Brussels on Sunday in memory of a teenager stabbed to death by two suspects of North African origin in Belgium's biggest protest in 10 years, police said.
Joe Van Holsbeeck, 17, was stabbed five times in the chest during the evening rush hour on April 12 when he refused to hand over his MP3 player to the men in the central railway station.
On the request of Van Holsbeeck's parents, marchers did not carry any political banners but Van Holsbeeck's death triggered an uproar over crime and racial tension in Belgium.
The federal prosecutor's office said on the basis of video footage from security cameras, two men of North African origin were suspected of carrying out the crime.
Leaders of the Muslim community in Brussels said they were disturbed by the stabbing and immams called at Friday prayers for people to turn in the suspects if they knew who they were.
These Islamic criminals will be classified simply as criminals - and not as the Islamic terrorists that they are. This allows Europe to continue to feel better about itself as it goes on its merry way towards destruction.
Charlie Sheen, the wholly untalented son of Martin Sheen, the wholly untalented and mentally ill leftist, has been caught with his pants down, so to speak. His wife, actress Denise Richards, alleges that Chuckie beat the shit out of her and their kids, and that he trolls gay porn sites for thrills.
What a nice guy, eh?
Charlie Sheen Threatened to Kill Wife Denise Richards
In legal papers filed yesterday, Denise Richards claims Charlie Sheen threatened to kill her.
"I am filing now because I can no longer accept (Sheen's) abusive and threatening manner and must stop him from the cycle of his abuse toward me and our children and his continued threats of violence and statements that he is going to kill me," Richards, 35, says in papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Among her allegations: That Sheen abused prescription drugs after the 2004 birth of their first daughter, Sam, and told Richards "I 'better not tell anybody about his using these drugs and better keep it to myself.' I understood by these statements that (he) would physically harm me and our baby."
Richards also claims that, on the way to the hospital for the birth of their daughter Lola last year, Sheen placed a gambling bet by phone, and was checking his pager for the results as she was wheeled into surgery for her C-section.
Things turned violent on Dec. 27, 2005, according to the papers, when Sheen allegedly hit Richards's wrist and shoved her in the stomach after she confronted him about pornography Web sites featuring "very young girls" that he'd been visiting. She claims Sheen told her that "if I revealed anything about his lifestyle, 'You won't lay your head down at night.' I understood this to mean that he would kill me."
Several days later, she claims Sheen pushed her over while she was holding Lola and "said to me that he was going to have me killed."
"Chuckles" Sheen denies the allegations, but his recent past means these are probably the truth.
You see, Chuckles has been making waves by complaining that 9/11 was an inside job.
Wait - Charlie Sheen? He is speaking about 9/11? Isn't he an actor?
No, he is not an actor. He is a mental deficient like his father.
Here is a site called "Bravo Charlie" which extolls the rantings and ravings of Chuckles Sheen.
Welcome to BravoCharlie911. Like many sentient beings, I've always had a problem with the "official" spoon-fed explanations for the events that transpired on September 11th 2001. There was a radio interview with Charlie Sheen the other day where he articulated the inconsistencies of the official story very succinctly.
Charlie, like his father Martin Sheen is a free thinker and now, at great risk to himself and his career, is speaking freely as well. Bravo Charlie. The intent of this web site is to give Charlie Sheen the support he so deserves, it's also hoped that the sentiments expressed here will encourage others to step into the light as well. Click on the "Click Here to Bravo Charlie" link below to let Charlie Sheen know he has support. The uninitiated might also want to take a look at some of the links under "911 The Evidence." Look at the information, make up your own mind.
If you all want to discuss these things in a bit more detail, I've set up some forums here. Thanks for stopping by and showing your support. "The worm is turning." Darn right.
This must be a comic site, right? Check out the pic of Sheen on the top right - he is peeking behind the World Trade Center towers!
Remember, folks - these are the same people who want to take control of this nation.
God help us all if they ever do.
Every now and then,, if you listen, you can hear a liberal here or a liberal there say what they truly believe - that President Bush is doing the right thing. One such liberal is Nat Hentoff, an ACLU member, who stands with President Bush in trying to end the slaughter of Christians by Muslims in Darfur.
Bush is right: ‘Genocide must be stopped!’
On March 25, at Freedom House in Washington, D.C., George W. Bush — who has been more outspoken on the mass murders in Darfur than any world leader — said: "When we say genocide, we mean genocide must be stopped!" The African Union's small force, he added, is not enough. "There should be a NATO overlay" of support.
However, it was appalling to hear, on PBS' "The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer," NATO head Jaap de Hoop Scheffer say that "Africans feel very strongly" that they should take care of problems on their own continent. So, he added, one "should be careful" about imposing oneself on them. "There is not yet the need for declaring a willingness for (NATO) to participate."
Yesterday, Usama bin Laden asked the Muslims of Darfur to fight any United Nations troops in the name of Islam. Of course, the UN does nothing about what goes on there, and Europe could care less.

The Left has a problem: it is called BDS, or Bush Derangement Syndrome. Part of this malodorous disease (or, in their case, mental illness) states that when a problem arises - taxes are late, the beer is not cold, a hurricane hits Oregon, the International Space Station is empty, Australia has too many crickets, etc. - it must be President Bush's fault, somehow, some way.
The latest BDS sign comes from a "former military air traffic controller" who predicts that a comet will hit the Earth on May 25, 2006.
So what, you ask.
Because this loon says that George W. Bush is to blame.
Former Military Air Traffic Controller Claims Comet Collision with Earth on May 25, 2006
KEALAKEKUA, Hawaii, April 13 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Eric Julien, a former French military air traffic controller and senior airport manager, has completed a study of the comet 73P Schwassmann- Wachmann and declared that a fragment is highly likely to impact the Earth on or around May 25, 2006.
Comet Schwassman-Wachmann follows a five-year orbit that crosses the solar system's ecliptic plane. It has followed its five year orbit intact for centuries; but, in 1995, mysteriously fragmented. According to Julien, this is the same year that a crop circle appeared showing the inner solar system with the Earth missing from its orbit. He argues the "Missing Earth" crop circle was a message from higher intelligences warning humanity of the consequences of its destructive nuclear policies. He links this crop circle to May 25, 2006, and identifies the comet Schwassmann-Wachman as the subject of higher intelligence communications.
Using NASA simulations of the comet's path, Julien concludes that impact is likely around May 25 precisely when the comet crosses the Earth's ecliptic plane. While the first fragment will cross at approximately 10 million miles, lagging fragments threaten to collide. While astronomers have stated that the comet poses no direct threat, Julien argues that some fragments are too small to observe. Astronomers have predicted possible meteor showers indicating some cometary debris will enter the atmosphere.
Julien argues that the kinetic energy of even a 'car sized' fragment will impact the Earth with devastating effect. He concludes the May 25 event is tied in to the Bush administration's policy of preemptive use of nuclear weapons against Iran, and the effect of nuclear weapons on the realms of higher intelligences.
There you have it.
Lunacy from the left continues unabated.

One problem with the Left is that they have no concern with crime - which is why a conservative is sometimes called a liberal who has been mugged. So it comes as no surprise to hear that Boss Hugo Chavez, the Marxist scumbag leader of Venezuela, has turned his country into a crime-ridden shithole.
No surprise here. But you will continue to see the American Left see Boss Hugo as a saint.
Wave of Violent Crime Sweeps Venezuela
CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) -- Victims reach the emergency room soaked in blood and dazed - wheeled in on stretchers, carried in people's arms, some still walking with the last of their strength. An elderly man shot in a robbery, a young man sprayed with gunfire, a woman who took a stray bullet in the head while on her way to church.
Venezuela is among the most violent places in Latin America, and critics of President Hugo Chavez are increasingly accusing him of failing to make crime a priority.
The government says it is making progress on the problem, but a series of particularly heinous murders sparked protests earlier this month by people demanding safer streets, and more rallies are planned for Saturday. While crime has long bedeviled Venezuelans, particularly the poor, some protesters say there's a new element to the danger now - class tensions incited by Chavez himself.
"There has always been crime, but not like this. Now they open fire and that's it," said Freddy Dos Santos, standing beside his father, who lay wounded on a gurney at a public hospital.
Relatives of 89-year-old Rodolfo Dos Santos, who was breathing through an oxygen mask, said he was shot while driving to a construction site to pay his workers. He had just braked at a hilltop when a teenager approached and shouted: "Stop!"
Dos Santos yelled for help. The teenager fired, wounding him in the chest, and then fled.
Dos Santos' son accused Chavez of virtually ignoring crime while also inciting the poor: "The president is always saying it's OK to steal in order to eat."
Chavez has not used those exact words, but he regularly launches into tirades against wealthy Venezuelans. "The rich are condemned to hell. Christ himself condemned them," Chavez said in a speech Tuesday. "I say it from the heart: to be rich is evil."
Do a check - and see that liberals in America say much the same thing. They mix their message with hatred of wealth, of work, of success. The left stands for equal opportunity misery.
Rep. Allan Monohan, Downie of West Virginia, has been a crook - and now he is leaving the House Ethics Committee.
Nancy Pelosi (D-Nutjob), who likes to say that there is a "culture of corruption" in the House, was busy doing something else and had no comment.
Senior Democrat Exits House Ethics Panel
The top Democrat on the House ethics committee, Alan Mollohan, will leave the panel _ at least temporarily _ while he defends his own financial conduct, Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said Friday.
Mollohan's decision comes in an election year when his party is accusing majority Republicans of allowing a "culture of corruption" in Congress.
Mollohan, of West Virginia, will be replaced by Rep. Howard Berman of California, a former ranking Democrat on the panel. Mollohan has denied any wrongdoing.
The only evenly divided panel in the House, the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct has been divided along partisan lines for the past 16 months and unable to launch any major new investigations. If Mollohan had stayed while under his own ethics cloud, the chances for the stalemate to end would have been almost impossible.
The Wall Street Journal reported two weeks ago that Mollohan steered millions of dollars to nonprofit groups in his district _ with much of the money going to organizations run by people who contribute to the lawmaker's campaigns.
The MSM barely mentions this. Now, imagine if the Republican chairman of the Ethics Committee had been forced to step aside - the din from the leftist media would have been earthshaking. But when a fellow leftist crook gets nabbed, the yawn buttons get pressed.
When the MSM shows statistics regarding the US military, or anything connected to President Bush, it shows part of the story - the part that backs up its assertions. Usually, however, it leaves out the important part of the story - the part which does not back up its assertions - and minimizes this part of the story.
This is proven once again in a story on MSNBC.com, calling attention to a rise in suicides in the ranks of the US Army.
A rise in suicides is bad, of course - but MSNBC tries to make it appear that it is the war in Iraq which is at fault.
Army suicides hit highest level since 1993
WASHINGTON - The number of U.S. Army soldiers who took their own lives increased last year to the highest total since 1993, despite a growing effort by the Army to detect and prevent suicides.
In 2005, a total of 83 soldiers committed suicide, compared with 67 in 2004, and 60 in 2003 — the year U.S.-led forces invaded Iraq. Four other deaths in 2005 are being investigated as possible suicides but have not yet been confirmed. The totals include active duty Army soldiers and deployed National Guard and Reserve troops.
“Although we are not alarmed by the slight increase, we do take suicide prevention very seriously,” said Army spokesman Col. Joseph Curtin.
How does MSNBC make you think Iraq has something to do with this? For starters, the picture at the top of the story is of soldiers in Iraq. Makes that point, no?
The main assertion of the story, however, is blown away by this small paragraph, tucked neatly inside the story where most people miss it:
Of the confirmed suicides last year, 25 were soldiers deployed to the Iraq and Afghanistan wars — which amounts to 40 percent of the 64 suicides by Army soldiers in Iraq since the conflict began in March 2003.
Hmmm...25 US Army soldiers took their own lives who had served in Iraq and Afghanistan - out of 83 total who killed themselves.
That means that 58 of the 83 DID NOT serve in Iraq or Afghanistan...meaning that more than 2/3rds of the suicides had nothing to do with the war.
In short, MSNBC proves their point by demonstrating that 2/3rds of Army suicides had nothing to do with wars we are currently fighting. The rise is just an unfortunate spike.
But don't tell the media that, or they will be angry that you thought for yourself.
The MSM is so liberal that they love to report on those few times when an innocent person is freed from death row, or when DNA is used to try to prove innocence, or when some scumbag liberal lawyer tries a new tact to end capital punishment.
Earlier this year, a killer on California's death row was spared, at least for the time being, because his lawyer claimed that lethal injection is cruel and unusual punishment. A court in California agreed, and the lowlife murderer of a young girl was given a reprieve.
However, the execution of a man this week in North Carolina portends bad news for the liberal idjits who believe that their "lethal injection is cruel" argument has any chance of winning:
North Carolina Man Executed for '83 Murder
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- A man convicted of killing a woman during a convenience store robbery in 1983 was executed by injection early Friday.
Willie Brown Jr., 61, was pronounced dead at 2:11 a.m., said Keith Acree, a spokesman for the state Department of Correction.
Gov. Mike Easley rejected Brown's clemency request Thursday and the U.S. Supreme Court and a three-judge panel of the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Va., also ruled against him.
Brown was sentenced to death for the slaying of Vallerie Ann Roberson Dixon. He received an additional 40-year sentence for armed robbery.
Brown's attorneys argued the death penalty is unnecessarily cruel because he might remain conscious and suffer pain while being put to death by injection.
And the Supreme Court allowed the execution to go forward as scheduled.
If the "lethal injection is cruel" argument had any chance, this lowlife's execution would have been blocked. But it was not. The Supreme Court basically said that that argument was crap.
And, of course, the MSM found no reason to tell you that, because it doesn't fit in with their "some guy is innocent on death row" mentality.
Across the Muslim world, women are treated like 2nd class citizens.
Now, we can see why: it is with their own permission.
Muslim Women Want Single-Sex Workouts
LINCOLN PARK, Mich. (AP) -- About 200 Muslim women who have memberships to the Fitness USA chain of athletic clubs have signed a petition asking the gyms to honor what they say was a promise to provide separate exercise times for women and men.
Arrwa Mogalli, 28, of Dearborn, said she bought a $1,465 lifetime membership after being promised that a Lincoln Park facility would be open only to women on certain days.
The gym in this Detroit suburb opened a new part of the center this month to both sexes every day.
"I felt like all the money I just spent ... has gone to waste," Mogalli said.
The women are asking the chain to restore single-sex exercise days for the entire gym or to put up a divider so men and women cannot see each other while exercising.
"In Islam, there are codes of modesty for both genders," said Ammerah Saidi, 23, of Dearborn. "When you're working out, you're not dressed modestly, and you're bending in provocative ways, so you can't be working out with the opposite gender."
Here is what Fitness USA should tell these nuts: in the US, we have laws against segregation. If you do not like these laws, pick your veiled asses up and return from the Islamic shithole from whence you came.
Of course, the betting is that this business will cave to the Islamic mindset, because slowly we are allowing ourselves to become one Islamic nation under Allah. And no one seems willing to stand up to these fruitcakes.
Here is the tale: EU investigators find that the CIA had a number of secret prisons for al-Qaeda and terrorist suspects around Europe. Euro-peon legislators call for sanctions. The BBC, and all major media outlets in America report on the findings, once more showing that the US is led by an administration which is intent on breaking the law. Dana Priest, Washington Post reporter who reported on the secret prisons and won the Pulitzer Prize this week, is congratulated.
Now, the truth: the EU found no such prisons. The BBC and all major American media outlets ignored the story. Dana Priest is not shamed into giving back her Pulitzer for a story in which she lied.
Liberal hypocrisy at its finest.
EU official: No evidence of illegal CIA action
BRUSSELS -- Investigations into reports that US agents shipped prisoners through European airports to secret detention centers have produced no evidence of illegal CIA activities, the European Union's antiterrorism coordinator said yesterday.
The investigations also have not turned up any proof of secret renditions of terror suspects on EU territory, Gijs de Vries told a European Parliament committee investigating the allegations.
The European Parliament's probe and a similar one by the continent's leading human rights watchdog are looking into whether US intelligence agents interrogated Al Qaeda suspects at secret prisons in Eastern Europe and transported some on secret flights through Europe.
But so far investigators have not identified any human rights violations, despite more than 50 hours of testimony by human rights activists and individuals who said they were abducted by US intelligence agents, de Vries said.
"We've heard all kinds of allegations, impressions; we've heard also refutations. It's up to your committee to weigh if they are true. It does not appear to be proven beyond reasonable doubt," he said. "There has not been, to my knowledge, evidence that these illegal renditions have taken place."
The liberals are just plain disgusting. They lie, they cheat, they make shit up - and they call President Bush a liar.
The MSM likes to tell us each day that "Iraq is in the midst of a civil war," although the evidence for that is neglible at best. Some religiously-motivated killings are happening, but thousands must happen for a "civil war" to be happening.
However, let us apply the MSM's standards for what a "civil war" is - after all, if two groups of religious nuts kill each other or attack each other, that means "CIVIL WAR," right?
Of course, the MSM won't bother applying the same standard to the Palestinians, who are closer to civil war than Iraq is.
Fatah, Hamas members throw firebombs at each other
Groups of Fatah and Hamas members shot at and hurled firebombs at each other on Saturday after Hamas's political leader abroad Khaled Mashaal accused Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of being a "traitor."
Three people were wounded in the clashes, which began with stone throwing.
Thousands of Fatah backers protested across the West Bank and Gaza throughout Saturday to demand that Mashaal apologize for his remarks.
Sounds like the verge of a civil war, right?
Reporter's Notebook: Does Hamas Face Collapse?
Reportedly, there is a detailed plan in the hands of the U.S. Near East Affairs Officer Elliott Abrams and Israeli officials on how and when the Hamas government might collapse. International pressure and cutting off much needed aid is still considered the best way to force the collapse of Hamas. The Palestinian Authority has not been able to pay their employees in two months.
1. About 140,000 people are employed by the Palestinian Authority. Palestinians have large families, so those salaries are estimated to support close to a million people, one quarter of the population.
2. The Palestinian Authority funds more than half the health clinics, three quarters of the schools and about 70,000 well-armed security people.
3. Where the western countries are pulling out, Islamic countries are pitching in — Iran, $50 to $100 million; Saudi Arabia, $92 million; U.S.-ally Qatar, $50 million, The Arab League, a monthly sum of $55 million.
It's not clear how the money will get into a place like Gaza, even with money being donated. Banking laws prohibit the transfer of funds to Hamas, which is considered a terrorist organization.
Being in Gaza this week, I saw the store shelves pretty much empty, as I am told even the shopkeepers don't have enough money to buy supplies. At some point, despite support for Hamas and democratic elections, there could be some type of protest because of the financial crisis.
One woman who works for the Palestinian Authority in Gaza City as an administrator said many of her colleagues are not coming to work because they cannot even afford the transportation costs. Combined with the constant shelling — which is fierce, loud and frightening — Gaza is an especially horrific place to live right now.
Ironically, many secular Palestinians worry about Israel forcing the collapse of Hamas.
As one secular Palestinian businessman in Ramallah who did not vote for Hamas but still supports it because it was democratically elected, told me the larger fear is that Hamas will be pushed back to what it's known for and does best — suicide bombings. Hamas hasn't directly participated suicide bombings for over a year.
The message? Hamas is slowly being strangled.
Its collapse, not if it comes but when, will surely tear the Palestinians apart.
Here's for a Palestinian civil war. Guns, anyone?

Harry Reid, the Really in the Minority Leader in the US Senate, reached into his bag of tricks and launched the "I Will Be a Hypocrite" Speech.
Just a few short years ago, the Downies were blasting President Bush because he ignored our "allies" in Europe over Iraq. He didn't lean enough on them, said the liberal argument.
Now, liberals like Reid have decided to attack President Bush for the opposite field: now, they are claiming that he leans too much on the allies, now when it comes to Iran.
Too little then, too much now. Where to fight these hypocrites?
Reid Blasts Bush During Reno Visit
RENO, Nev. -- The Bush administration is relying too heavily on other countries in the international effort to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons, according to Sen. Harry Reid.
Reid, D-Nev., said the administration should be taking the lead, but instead is relying on Germany, France and Great Britain to convince Iran to end its uranium enrichment program.
"It is hard to comprehend," Reid said Tuesday in Reno. "We should be involved at trying to arrive at a diplomatic solution. ... Not just these three countries."
Notice that no one ever challenges these lying thugs over their flip-flops. First Anthony Zinni with his lies, and now Reid. Where will this end?
General Anthony Zinni, now calling for Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld's resignation, says that he has been against the war in Iraq.
However, General Zinni (rhymes with "ninny") doesn't realize that one's prior statements can be found on the Internet if one looks hard enough.
We did. And we found that in 2000, Zinni briefed the Clinton administration on a war plan...for Iraq.
DESPITE U.S. OPPOSITION, HUSSEIN IN `GREAT SHAPE'
One of the participants in Capitol Hill's policy review was retired Marine
Gen. Anthony Zinni, until recently the head of the U.S. military command in charge of the Persian Gulf region.
Zinni has briefed senior administration officials on a secret war plan that details how the U.S. military, with limited allied help, would seek to topple Hussein. The effort would be massive, involving possibly as many as half a million troops, according to one knowledgeable official.
Although he has confidence in U.S. forces, Zinni has no illusions that such a scheme could win public support, considering the cost in lives and dollars it would almost certainly involve.
As with other people who oppose the Bush administration, this one made comments now in opposition to past stands. What is so terrible is that the media now wants to forget that people made those past statements.

As if her previous record were bad enough, Marxist slut and anti-Semitic lowlife Cindy Sheehan has been caught lying - this time about how her war-hero son was buried.
This woman cannot get enough of the cameras - and for someone so ugly, so hateful, it is a pity to see her getting any attention whatsoever.
Sheehan Refuted; Director rebuts 'Peace Mom's' story
A Vacaville funeral home owner took exception to "Peace Mom" Cindy Sheehan's allegation that his mortuary did not fulfill its duties after her son Casey was killed in Iraq in 2004.
In her blog last week, Sheehan wrote that the mortuary had refused to pay the cemetery as it was supposed to. Steve Nadeau, the mortuary's owner, said Monday that not only did he properly pay the cemetery, but that he subsidized the process with his own money.
Nadeau read Sheehan's comments in The Reporter Sunday, in a story about Sheehan's defense of her decision not to put a headstone on Casey's grave. Sheehan had described her choice at length in the same blog entry that mentioned Nadeau's Funeral Home.
The Reporter called Nadeau Friday and left a message at his office seeking his comments.
Nadeau returned the call and left a message saying he would be unavailable until Monday.
In an e-mail sent to The Reporter Sunday, Nadeau expressed hurt and disbelief at Sheehan's comments. He said that the amount of money the military gave the mortuary for Casey's funeral service and cemetery arrangements didn't even come close to covering the costs.
"Several kind citizens made donations," said Nadeau. "I absorbed the rest."
This was not the only way in which he went above and beyond his responsibilities following Casey's death, said Nadeau. He also provided a stretch limousine and a driver at his expense, he said, and invited the family to go to the airport with him so that he could accompany them. None of this was required, said Nadeau.
This man knew Sheehan's family, did all this for them, yet gets called names by the Piece of Shit Mom.
Notice only a small-town paper covered this story. How long before the CNNs and MSNBCs report how Sheehan was wronged is anyone's guess.
Yep, those peaceful Muslims* are trying to find new ways to inflict terror on those they cannot control - now, they are trying to recruit so-called "White Muslims" to launch terror attacks in the United States because security against real Muslims is frustrating them at every turn.
Too fucking bad, eh?
Terrorists Recruiting 'White Muslims'
SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina - His code name was Maximus, and he held secret meetings in a shabby room at the Banana City Hotel on the outskirts of Sarajevo.
Bosnian police put him under surveillance, and in a raid last fall on his apartment on Poligonska Street, authorities seized explosives, a suicide bomber belt and a videotape of masked men begging Allah's forgiveness for what they were about to do.
What they planned, investigators believe, was to blow up a European embassy. But compounding their concern, they say, was the ringleader's background: Maximus turned out to be Mirsad Bektasevic, a 19-year-old Swedish citizen of Serbian origin with ties to a senior al-Qaida operative.
Terrorists have been working to recruit non-Arab sympathizers — so-called "white Muslims" with Western features who theoretically could more easily blend into European cities and execute attacks — according to classified intelligence documents obtained by The Associated Press.
This is why we need profiling for all Muslims who wish to travel into and around the United States. And that means ANY travel.
And the ACLU can go fuck themselves if they don't like it.
This could be painful!
Hawaii May Honor Humuhumunukunukuapuaa
HONOLULU - The humuhumunukunukuapuaa officially lost its title as the state fish more than a decade ago but is set to reclaim the honor.
A bill reinstating the critter — known as humuhumu for short — passed the Legislature on Monday and heads next to the office of Gov. Linda Lingle for a signature.
The little fish with the long name was deposed in 1990 by a clause in the law that gave it its crown, which made the measure expire after five years.
Oh! It's a fish!
Sorry for that. You may return to your regularly aired program.

First it was "The West Wing," and now it is "Commander in Chief." They are liberal fantasy shows in which, on the first, a liberal (played by Martin Sheen) is President, and, in the second, a liberal woman (Geena Davis, now on her 93rd marriage) is President.
The first is dead in the water and will go off the air next month.
The second is on life support and will be off the air sooner rather than later.
The message here: liberals can't cut it on television, either.
Return of ‘Chief‘ commands low ratings
NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - "Commander in Chief" wasn‘t able to muster the troops in its return to primetime Thursday.
The ABC drama, which stars Geena Davis as the nation‘s first female president, averaged 8.2 million viewers and a 2.4 rating/7 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary ratings data from Nielsen Media Research.
In its new 10 p.m. slot, "Commander" was defeated handily by CBS‘s "Without a Trace" (18.6 million, 5.7/16). It had a couple million more viewers than a repeat of NBC‘s "ER" (6 million, 2.6/7) but the repeat did better in the demo.
Message to liberals: it is nice that you want to see other liberals controlling this country. But you cannot do it on television; you have to do it in real life.
And, seeing your recent results, you won't be in power in real life. And thank goodness for that.
Hugo Chavez, the scumbag Marxist who runs Venezuela, is making sure that anyone who opposes him - even speaks out against him - will be punished, in one way or another.
If this were not so sickening, it would be hilarious.
Chavez's Blacklist of Venezuelan Opposition Intimidates Voters
April 17 (Bloomberg) -- In the two years since she signed a petition that forced a recall vote on President Hugo Chavez, Venezuelan lawyer Rocio San Miguel says she lost her government job, colleagues became afraid to talk to her, and her husband, a pilot, was taken off active duty from the Air Force.
``It was a witch hunt,'' said San Miguel, 39. Last month she and two other Foreign Ministry employees filed a complaint with the Organization of American States alleging their political rights were violated when they were fired. The case is pending.
The practice of denying government jobs to some of the 3.4 million Venezuelans who signed the petition has intimidated voters and will help Chavez win re-election in December, said Riordan Roett, an international studies professor at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
Blacklisting critics is effective in part because the government and state-run companies employ about 20 percent of workers in the South American country. Chavez, 51, also has stacked the Supreme Court with his backers, stripped landowners of farm land he deems ``underutilized'' and determined who can buy dollars at a preferential government-set exchange rate.
Hugo Chavez is a hero to the American Left - because they would rather stand with a pro-terrorism Marxist than with their own country, because it means they can bash George W. Bush.
Disgusting. Simply disgusting.
The Arizona Daily Star of Tucson recently did the unthinkable: it ran a story on the illegal alien marches with the headline REPUBLICANS HATE LATINOS. No quotes - it was the statement of one of the more radical Hispanics in the march -
We regret use of 'hate Latinos' headline
'Republicans Hate Latinos'' read the headline on Friday's front-page in red, all-capital letters. No attribution. Just stated as fact.
That quote has been in the news since labor activist Dolores Huerta used the phrase in an April 3 speech at Tucson High School. The statement appeared as a quotation above four photos, including one of Huerta.
Yet in the Star's presentation, the quote was not attributed, instead presented as fact and in eye-catching red.
Gary Durrenberger called the headline: "perhaps the single most irresponsible piece of journalism I've ever seen.'' His e-mail continued: "Now, I understand it is not the (main) headline and after having read the story I also understand how the banner can be taken out of context. But, you cannot tell me that this page could not have been laid out better as to avoid the appearance of slander against Republicans.''
Managing Editor Teri Hayt, too, was troubled by the presentation. The quote "should have been attributed properly and not highlighted in red type. The reader is right, perception is reality and in this case we did not put the focus where it belonged — on Ms. Huerta."
The person or persons who put this story together should be fired. But they won't be - because their victims are Republicans. And, as the media likes to tell us, Republicans are evil.
The BBC, one of the worst offenders of the truth in the world, is now making the stunningly hilarious claim that gays in Iraq - the three that exist - were better off under Saddam Hussein.
Wait, you say. Better off under Saddam? A nut who killed hundreds of thousands of people? Gays?
Well, if you are the BBC, you can make this ridiculous claim. If you are normal, you can laugh at the hilarity of it.
Gays in Iraq fear for their lives
"I don't want to be gay anymore. When I go out to buy bread, I'm afraid. When the doorbell rings, I think that they have come for me."
That is the fear that haunts Hussein, and other gay men in Iraq.
They say that since the US-led invasion, gays are being killed because of their sexual orientation.
They blame the increase in violence on the growing influence of religious figures and militia groups in Iraq since Saddam Hussein was ousted.
Islam considers homosexuality sinful. A website published in the name of Ayatollah Sistani, Iraq's most revered Shia cleric, says gays should be put to death.
"Those who commit sodomy must be killed in the harshest way," says a section of the website dealing with questions of morality.
Maybe we should stop invading countries, and just make the world safe for buggery.
A "traitor" is defined as "a person who betrays their country, a cause, etc."
When the Governor of a state vetoes a bill which would protect this nation from an influx of illegal aliens, then that person is a traitor.
The people of Arizona should move to immediately impeach this slug of a Governor and remove her from office - immediately.
Ariz. Gov. Vetoes Criminal Immigrant Bill
Gov. Janet Napolitano vetoed a bill that would have criminalized the presence of illegal immigrants in Arizona, citing opposition from police agencies that want immigration arrests to remain the responsibility of the federal government.
The proposal would have expanded the state's trespassing law to let local authorities arrest illegal immigrants anywhere in Arizona, the nation's busiest illegal entry point. Congress also had considered criminalizing the presence of illegal immigrants in the country.
In a letter to lawmakers, Napolitano said she opposes automatically turning all immigrants who sneaked into the state into criminals and that the bill provided no funding for the new duties.
"It is unfortunate that the Legislature has once again ignored the officials who are most directly affected by illegal immigration and instead has passed yet another bill that will have no effect on the problem but that will impose an unfunded burden on law enforcement," Napolitano wrote Monday.
Supporters said the bill would have given Arizona a chance to get a handle on its vast border problems by providing a second layer of enforcement to catch the tens of thousands of immigrants who slip past federal agents each year.
Republican Sen. Barbara Leff of Paradise Valley, who proposed the bill, said the governor has painted herself as tough on illegal immigration by declaring a state of emergency at Arizona's border, but has taken little action to back up her rhetoric.
"I don't think the governor wants to do anything about this problem," Leff said. She said the bill would have been a means to detain illegal immigrants until federal agents can pick them up.
Where is the Republican party to find a candidate willing to nail Napolitano on this evil act? Is that party prostrate like the Republicans are in Congress against the Downies who stand for evil and doing nothing about anything?

Former Republican Governor George Ryan, a liberal creepo who emptied Illinois' death row so he could appeal to liberals, was today convicted on all counts of fraud, racketeering, making false statements, and other crimes.
The good part of this story is that Ryan will now be sharing cells with the same murderers he got off death row.
Ryan found guilty on all counts
A federal jury convicted former Gov. George Ryan today on all charges that as secretary of state he steered state business to cronies in return for vacations, gifts and other benefits for himself and his family.
Lobbyist Lawrence Warner, a close Ryan friend, was also found guilty on all charges against him in the historic trial.
On their eleventh day of deliberations, the six-woman, six-man jury found Ryan, 72, guilty on 18 counts of racketeering, mail fraud, false statements and tax violations. Warner, 67, was convicted on 12 counts of racketeering, mail fraud, extortion, money laundering and evading cash-reporting requirements.
The racketeering conspiracy charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.
At a news conference after the verdict, Ryan said he will appeal. "The decision today is not in accordance with the kind of public service I've given to the people of Illinois over 40 years," he said.
Of course Ryan will appeal.
However, we hope Ryan is getting his jammies ready - for a nice stay in State Prison.
The BBC never fails to take the far left side of every argument, then take offense when their zeal is pointed out to them.
However, when we saw this we had to read it several times, because it could have been a parody.
It isn't. BBC Radio 4 asked today: "Could Global Warming be a Fraud?"
Overselling Climate Change
Simon Cox reports on how scientists are becoming worried by the quality of research used to back up the most extreme climate predictions.
Every week we are assailed by scare stories about the climate. Malaria in Africa, hurricanes in Florida, even the death of frogs in Latin America - all are being linked to global warming. But does the science behind these claims really stand up, or are the risks of climate change being oversold to win the battle for influence?
All we could say was: OMIGOD.
If the BBC is asking this, how long before the rest of the world wakes up and exposes this fraud and junk science for what it is: anti-capitalist nonsense by leftists?
General Michael DeLong, who worked with Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, is supporting the Secretary and criticizing those worthless generals who, now retired, have made their hatred of Rumsfeld known.
Of course, this general deigns to support the man the media hates. So, his message will just be ignored.
A General Misunderstanding
As the No. 2 general at United States Central Command from the Sept. 11 attacks through the Iraq war, I was the daily "answer man" to Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. I briefed him twice a day; few people had as much interaction with him as I did during those two years. In light of the recent calls for his resignation by several retired generals, I would like to set the record straight on what he was really like to work with.
When I was at Centcom, the people who needed to have access to Secretary Rumsfeld got it, and he carefully listened to our arguments. That is not to say that he is not tough in terms of his convictions (he is) or that he will make it easy on you (he will not). If you approach him unprepared, or if you don't have the full courage of your convictions, he will not give you the time of day.
Mr. Rumsfeld does not give in easily in disagreements, either, and he will always force you to argue your point thoroughly. This can be tough for some people to deal with. I witnessed many heated but professional conversations between my immediate commander, Gen. Tommy Franks, and Mr. Rumsfeld — but the secretary always deferred to the general on war-fighting issues.
Ultimately, I believe that a tough defense secretary makes commanders tougher in their convictions. Was Donald Rumsfeld a micromanager? Yes. Did he want to be involved in all of the decisions? Yes. But Mr. Rumsfeld never told people in the field what to do. It all went through General Franks.
Mr. Rumsfeld did not like waste, which caused some grumbling among the military leadership even before 9/11. He knew that many of the operational plans we had on the books dated back to the 1990's (some even to the late 80's), and he wanted them updated for an era of a more streamlined, technological force. He asked us all: "Can we do it better, and can we do it with fewer people?"
Sometimes General Franks and I answered yes, other times we answered no. When we said no, there was a discussion; but when we told him what we truly needed, we got it. I never saw him endangering troops by insisting on replacing manpower with technology. In both Afghanistan and Iraq, we always got what we, the commanders, thought we needed.
This is why the much-repeated claims that Mr. Rumsfeld didn't "give us enough troops" in Iraq ring hollow. First, such criticisms ignore that the agreed-upon plan was for a lightning operation into Baghdad. In addition, logistically it would have been well nigh impossible to bring many more soldiers through the bottleneck in Kuwait. And doing so would have carried its own risk: you cannot sustain a fighting force of 300,000 or 500,000 men for long, and it would have left us with few reserves, putting our troops at risk in other parts of the world. Given our plan, we thought we had the right number of troops to accomplish our mission.
The outcome and ramifications of a war, however, are impossible to predict. Saddam Hussein had twice opened his jails, flooding the streets with criminals. The Iraqi police walked out of their uniforms in the face of the invasion, compounding domestic chaos. We did not expect these developments.
We also — collectively — made some decisions in the wake of the war that could have been better. We banned the entire Baath Party, which ended up slowing reconstruction (we should probably have banned only high-level officials); we dissolved the entire Iraqi Army (we probably should have retained a small cadre help to rebuild it more quickly). We relied too much on the supposed expertise of the Iraqi exiles like Ahmad Chalabi who assured us that once Saddam Hussein was gone, Sunni Arabs, Shiites and Kurds would unite in harmony.
But that doesn't mean that a "What's next?" plan didn't exist. It did; it was known as Phase IV of the overall operation. General Franks drafted it and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the State Department, the Pentagon, the Treasury Department and all members of the Cabinet had input. It was thoroughly "war-gamed" by the Joint Chiefs.
Thus, for distinguished officers to step forward and, in retrospect, pin blame on one person is wrong. And when they do so in a time of war, the rest of the world watches.
We've posted the whole piece because the Times likes to make people pay for old links - and this one will be dead soon.
Where is the media to put General DeLong on the air and ask for his opinion? Because he is against what they are for: making this government look bad. They cannot stand someone who makes them into the fools that they are.
That wacky Iranian fruitcake who smells worse than a donkey's asshole is at it again: Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the "President" of Iran, says that Israel "is an injustice and by its very nature a permanent threat."
Iranian Leader Renews Attack on Israel at Palestinian Rally
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Friday that Israel was a "constant threat" and predicted that it was on the verge of "being eliminated."
His comments, which echoed his remark last year about "wiping Israel off the map," were made at a three-day conference on Palestine that has brought together Palestinian militant leaders and their supporters from Muslim countries.
"The Zionist regime is an injustice and by its very nature a permanent threat," Mr. Ahmadinejad said during his speech at the conference. "Whether you like it or not, the Zionist regime is on the road to being eliminated." He referred to Israel as a "rotten, dried tree" that would collapse in "one storm."
But, as usual, The Times makes an Islamic imbecile to be less than the imbecile that he is:
Although his comments Friday were somewhat more temperate...
Temperate? Temperate? Saying that a country should be exterminated is temperate?
Where does a major American newspaper get the chutzpah to utter such incredible nonsense?
Oh, we forgot: liberalism. Notice that they had some Islamic flunky write the story. Figures.
The story here, however, is that this Islamic nutcase is not saying what should be said: Muslims are pissed to hell about Israel because they have fought several wars against it and have lost each one. And all they can do is send explosives to the Palestinians so they can blow themselves up. They can send no armies, no planes, no navies - just explosives.
How worthless can you get?

Under Tony Blair, the entire British law system is under complete collapse.
Now, liberals are "cautioning" rapists not to commit the crime again.
Got it? You are cautioned not to rape again!
40 rapists a year escape with a caution
Forty rapists a year are being cautioned and released instead of facing jail terms, it has emerged.
Home Office documents reveal that the number of people cautioned for rape has more than doubled in the past decade, while the conviction rate has fallen steeply.
In 2004, 40 people were cautioned for rape, up from 19 in 1994, according to The Times.
Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) guidelines state that indictable offences, such as rape, can only result in a caution in "rare circumstances".
These are thought to include historic cases of rape where the culprit was elderly, but the victim wanted to know that he or she had formally admitted the crime.
Another case might include a very young offender who was being dealt with outside of the criminal justice system.
The cautioned individual must admit the offence in order to receive a caution.
Hey! What about "cautioning" for murder?
"Your honor: yes, I shot all 20 of them, but I admit what I did."
"Well, son, under our compassionate and liberal justice system, I am cautioning you never to do that again!"
Liberalism kills. It is that simple.

Toilet pervert Jimmy Farter, er, Carter, fresh from his "Down With America 2006" tour, is advising the nuts and fruits of the far far far far far leftwing website "Daily Kos" how Downies can win red states.
Questions and Answers by Jimmy Carter
I wrote last week in support of my son, Jack Carter, for his Senate race in Nevada. Here are a few of the questions that you wrote, and my responses:
Question: Blue Staters in Red States?
Could you give some frank advice about the best way for Democrats in firmly 'blue' states to help win back the red states?
Here is what Jimmah should have said:
"Dear Fellow Loon:
We cannot win unless we cheat.

The old adage goes that if you make even a racist joke, or appear to make a racist statement, you are in hot water.
Not for liberals. They have a separate standard for themselves - and it is no standard at all.
Anger, apology over "Condoleezza" quiz
Bellevue Community College President Jean Floten apologized Wednesday at an emotional open-campus meeting called after students complained about what they said was a racially offensive math question used on a practice test.
Floten praised the courage of the students who brought the question to the college's attention, and promised that the college would redouble its efforts to improve racial and cultural sensitivity on campus, including increasing staff training and creating an ombudsman position.
"We called this meeting, and we had the courage to meet each other and learn from each other and put that learning to use," Floten said.
The hour-and-a-half meeting, attended by more than 150 people, opened an important dialog, but more needs to be done, said Chelsey Richardson, one of the students who brought the issue to college officials.
When she felt her concerns weren't taken seriously, Richardson went to the media and to the Rev. Wayne Perryman, a Mercer Island civil-rights activist. Perryman sent out an e-mail to friends across the country, some of whom belong to conservative and civil-rights groups. Those friends forwarded the e-mail, creating a snowball effect. The college has since received hundreds of e-mails, said Bob Adams, spokesman for BCC.
"The e-mails are primarily angry that this could happen; that's the most common theme," said Adams.
Richardson, 25, said she found the question on a practice test for a math final she was studying for in March. The question read, "Condoleezza holds a watermelon just over the edge of the roof of the 300-foot Federal Building, and tosses it up with a velocity of 20 feet per second." The question went on to ask when the watermelon will hit the ground, based on a formula provided. The question propagates a racial stereotype and denigrates Secretary of State Rice, said Perryman. While Rice's last name wasn't mentioned, the reference was clear, he said.
"How many Condoleezzas spell their name that way and how many Condoleezzas are associated with a federal building? It doesn't take much to connect the dotted lines," he said.
Well, in fairness, we are offering a question of our own, which is NOT racist:
Reverend Al steals $1 million a day from a fund set up after he shook down a load of white people. If Reverend Al steals that same amount for 90 days, how much money will he have to continue to defend Tawana Brawley and make incendiary anti-Semitic and anti-white comments?
There - that's better.
When a Kennedy is hurt or injured - unless it is while driving a limo into the water and leaving a female occupant of the limo to drown - the media stops to take note. If this were any other politician, this story would get a YAWN! from an editor and not be run at all. But a Kennedy? Come on!
Kennedy receives stitches after injury at business meeting
PAWTUCKET, R.I. --U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy received stitches Wednesday after being hit with a hammer head during an economic development meeting.
Kennedy met with a Wisconsin entrepreneur interested in relocating to Rhode Island. Matt Kriesel produces Impact Gel, a shock-absorbing material used sports-shoe inserts, tennis rackets and horse saddles.
Kriesel was hitting some gel with a hammer to demonstrate how it reduces vibration when the hammer's head flew off and hit Kennedy in the mouth.
They should have left the hammer lodged in his mouth. Patrick Kennedy has never said anything worth listening to, anyway.
The liberals now believe that if you sell hashish by the ton, and use it to try to buy Stinger missiles to bring into the United States to blow up an airplane, it is no big deal - because the guy who tried this got five years in prison.
We just cannot be too strict with terrorists, can we?
Man Gets Prison in Drugs-For-Missiles Plot
SAN DIEGO Apr 10, 2006 (AP)— An Indian-born U.S. citizen was sentenced Monday to more than five years in prison for his role in a plot to obtain and sell Stinger anti-aircraft missiles to the Taliban and al-Qaida.
Ilyas Ali, 58, formerly of St. Paul, Minn., also was ordered to serve five years probation following his release.
Ali pleaded guilty in 2004 to one count of conspiracy to distribute heroin and hashish, and one count of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists.
Notice that the scumbag judge who sentenced this thug to a slap on the wrist is not even mentioned.
Wanna bet he or she is a Clinton appointee?
Arizona is one of the states hit worst by hundreds of thousands of illegals crossing into the United States - many of the state's schools are filled with Spanish-speaking children who are illegal themselves; the state is hemorraging millions of dollars to give free health care to illegals; and crime is rampant, mostly because of illegals.
So, the state legislature passed a bill which would order to arrest and prosecution of illegal aliens. Smart, right? A sure winner, right?
Not so fast, pardner - because Arizona has a disgusting thug as its Governor: one Janet Napolitano, who has threatened to veto the bill.
Senate OKs arrests of immigrant trespassers
State lawmakers voted Wednesday to allow the arrest and prosecution of undocumented immigrants under Arizona's trespassing law, saying the move would deter immigrants from entering the country illegally.
The House and Senate gave final approval to Senate Bill 1157 and sent it to the governor, just two days after undocumented immigrants joined thousands of supporters at the Capitol seeking recognition of their contributions to American society.
The bill won passage after sponsors agreed to charge first offenders with a misdemeanor, not a felony as the bill had originally been written.
"This is common-sense legislation," said Rep. Russell Pearce, R-Mesa, shortly before the House voted 33-27 to pass the bill. "It's about time we started standing up for the legal residents, the legal citizens of the United States and enforce our laws (and) protect our neighborhoods."
Gov. Janet Napolitano has hinted that she will veto measures that criminalize undocumented immigrants' presence in the United States. On Wednesday, she criticized a proposed federal measure.
"To convert 11 million people into felons automatically, I think, is not wise," Napolitano said, referring to a U.S. House of Representatives bill similar to the original version of SB 1157. "There should be felonies associated with illegal immigration, but they should be focused on the people who are making money off of this human misery: the human traffickers, the smugglers, the money launderers that are involved in this. Those folks really deserve the full brunt of the law."
The Downtrodden Party believes that if it holds out, stands firm, and pushes their radical agenda, they will get an amnesty for the 12-20 million illegals already here, and that will mean 12-20 million new votes for their evil party. This way, they can gain power when they otherwise have no chance to get it.
If this criminality is rewarded, all of America will lose. And lose big.
When the Republicans in Congress passed the Medicare Drug Benefit, the liberals and their lowlife media buddies yelled how senior citizens were being ripped off, cheated, ruined, murdered, etc. Then, they leaned on the "this fraud is too awful for seniors to understand" and "seniors will never have the proper benefit from it." The MSM was all too happy to make sure these whining pronouncements got all the airplay possible.
Now, AARP - a liberal group if there ever was one - did a poll, and found (horror of horrors!) that 78% of seniors are satisfied with their Medicare plan as it is now.
Shocking, shocking, shocking - and even more so that AARP bothered to announce these poll results.
New Medicare Drug Benefit is Meeting or Exceeding Expectations; AARP Survey Details Public Reaction to Prescription Drug Plans
WASHINGTON, April 12 /U.S. Newswire/ -- According to a new survey released today by AARP, nearly eight-in-ten, (78 percent) of those enrolled in a Medicare prescription drug plan say they are satisfied.
The AARP study was released about one month before Medicare's drug benefit enrollment deadline of May 15th. According to beneficiary June Dirks of Wichita, Kansas, if you haven't yet enrolled, "It's time to get moving!"
With her new drug plan, Ms. Dirks is saving about $200 every three months. She is not alone. Only 20 percent of respondents felt like they were not saving money with their plans."
AARP Director of Health Strategy Cheryl Matheis explains, "Before Medicare added a drug benefit, more than half of those in the program either lacked drug coverage or had inadequate coverage that did not protect them from high out-of-pocket costs. The new plans fill a critical need for affordable prescriptions drugs."
Omigod! New plans? New benefit?
By the way, Mr. and Mrs. Senior Citizen: guess who passed that plan? Guess who signed it into law? Guess which party fought it to the death and tried to block it with all their power?
Answers? 1. The Republican Congress. 2. President George W. Bush. 3. The Downtrodden Party.
Don't hold your breath waiting for the MSM to mention this story. Because they want it to go away as quickly as possible - before seniors make a mistake and vote Republican this November.
Wade Zinkle, a 2 tour veteran of Iraq, is striking back at anti-war lowlifes John Murthafucker and Jim "I Hate Jews" Moron, er, Moran:
Troops in Support Of the War
Earlier this year there was a town hall meeting on the Iraq war, sponsored by Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.), with the participation of such antiwar organizations as CodePink and MoveOn.org. The event also featured Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.), a former Marine who had become an outspoken critic of the war. To this Iraq war veteran, it was a good example of something that's become all too common: People from politics, the media and elsewhere purporting to represent "our" views. With all due respect, most often they don't.
The tenor of the town meeting was mostly what one might expect, but during the question-and-answer period, a veteran injured in Afghanistan stood up to offer his view. "If I didn't have a herniated disc, I would volunteer to go to Iraq in a second with my troops," said Mark Seavey, a former Army sergeant who had recently returned from Afghanistan. "I know you keep saying how you have talked to the troops and the troops are demoralized, and I really resent that characterization. The morale of the troops I talk to is phenomenal, which is why my troops are volunteering to go back despite the hardships. . . ."
"And, Congressman Moran, 200 of your constituents just arrived back from Afghanistan -- we never got a letter, we never got a visit from you, you didn't come to our homecoming. The only thing we got was a letter from the governor of this state thanking us for our service in Iraq, when we were in Afghanistan. That's reprehensible. I don't know who you two are talking to, but the morale of the troops is very high."
What was the response? Murtha said nothing, while Moran attempted to move on, no pun intended, stating: "That wasn't in the form of a question, it was a statement."
It was indeed a statement; a statement from both a constituent and a veteran that should have elicited something more than silence or a dismissive comment highlighting a supposed breach of protocol. This exchange, captured on video (it was on C-SPAN), has since been forwarded from base to base in military circles. It has not been well received there, and it only raises the already high level of frustration among military personnel that their opinions are not being heard.
In view of his distinguished military career, John Murtha has been the subject of much attention from the media and is a sought-after spokesman for opponents of the Iraq war. He has earned the right to speak. But his comments supposedly expressing the negative views of those who have and are now serving in the Middle East run counter to what I and others know and hear from our own colleagues -- from junior officers to the enlisted backbone of our fighting force.
Murtha undoubtedly knows full well that the greatest single thing that drags on morale in war is the loss of a buddy. But second to that is politicians questioning, in amplified tones, the validity of that loss to our families, colleagues, the nation and the world.
While we don't question his motives, we do question his assumptions. When he called for an immediate withdrawal from Iraq, there was a sense of respectful disagreement among most military personnel. But when he subsequently stated that he would not join today's military, he made clear to the majority of us that he is out of touch with the troops. Quite frankly, it was received as a slap in the face.
Like so many others past and present, I proudly volunteered to serve in the military. I served one tour in Iraq and then volunteered to go back. Veterans continue to make clear that they are determined to succeed in Iraq. They are making this clear the best way they can: by volunteering to go back for third and sometimes fourth deployments. This fact is backed up by official Pentagon recruitment reports released as recently as Monday.
The morale of the trigger-pulling class of today's fighting force is strong. Unfortunately, we have not had a microphone or media audience willing to report our comments. Despite this frustration, our military continues to proudly dedicate itself to the mission at hand: a free, democratic and stable Iraq and a more secure America. All citizens have a right to express their views on this important national challenge, and all should be heard. Veterans ask no more, and they deserve no less.
Murthafucker and Moron continue to get play in the media with their ridiculous comments about the war and the troops. Here is one warrior who makes these two assholes look like the assholes that they are.

Zbigniew Brzezinski, who was Jimmy Farter, er, Carter's National Security Advisor, now says we should just let Iran have their little nuclear weapon - and that if America tries to stop them, it will be the end of America.
An Iranian Missile Crisis?
Zbigniew Brzezinski, a former national security adviser to President Jimmy Carter, makes a similar argument about Iran. "I think of war with Iran as the ending of America's present role in the world," he told me this week. "Iraq may have been a preview of that, but it's still redeemable if we get out fast. In a war with Iran, we'll get dragged down for 20 or 30 years. The world will condemn us. We will lose our position in the world."
Brzezinski urges President Bush to slow down and think carefully about his options -- rather than rushing to stop Iran's nuclear program, which by most estimates is five to 10 years away from building a bomb, even after yesterday's announcement. "Time is on our side," says Brzezinski. "The mullahs aren't the future of Iran, they're the past." As the United States carefully weighs its options, there is every likelihood that the strategic picture will improve.
Yup - time is on our side all right:
Iran Could Produce Nuclear Bomb in 16 Days, U.S. Says
April 12 (Bloomberg) -- Iran, defying United Nations Security Council demands to halt its nuclear program, may be capable of making a nuclear bomb within 16 days, a U.S. State Department official said.
Iran will move to "industrial scale" uranium enrichment involving 54,000 centrifuges at its Natanz plant, the Associated Press quoted deputy nuclear chief Mohammad Saeedi as telling state-run television today.
"Using those 50,000 centrifuges they could produce enough highly enriched uranium for a nuclear weapon in 16 days,'' Stephen Rademaker, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for International Security and Nonproliferation, told reporters today in Moscow.
Yeah, let's listen to Brzezinski and others like him.
And, when a nuclear weapon that Iran gets its hands on destroys Israel, or is smuggled into the United States and kills 1 million Americans, perhaps we can stand back as these liberal fuckers blame George W. Bush for not stopping it when he could have.
And they will say that - don't bet against it.
When Muslims blow shit up, the EU has now ruled, their actions cannot be called "Islamic terrorism."
George Orwell would be proud of these psychos.
'Islamic terrorism' is too emotive a phrase, says EU
European governments should shun the phrase "Islamic terrorism" in favour of "terrorists who abusively invoke Islam", say guidelines from EU officials.
Backed by diplomats and civil servants from the 25 EU members, the officials are drafting a "non-emotive lexicon for discussing radicalisation" to be submitted to Tony Blair and other leaders in June.
The Brussels officials hope the new lexicon, which would not be legally binding, would be adopted by governments and other EU institutions, such as the European Commission and European Parliament.
An EU official said: "The basic idea behind it is to avoid the use of improper words that would cause frustration among Muslims and increase the risk of radicalisation."
Along with civil servants from the Home Office, the officials have reviewed the impact of such terms as Islamist, fundamentalist and jihad when describing acts of terrorism and murder.
"Jihad means something for you and me; it means something else for a Muslim," EU officials at a Berlin conference on radicalisation said. "Jihad is a perfectly positive concept of trying to fight evil within yourself."
We at Joobo have gotten ahold of some of the new words which will mandated:
Explosion: Some Muslims having a good time.
Bomb: Muslim fireworks.
"Kill Israelis!": End Jewish occupation of Muslim lands.
"Get a nuclear weapon!": Muslims simply want to compete in the world.
"Death to America!": Opposition to American foreign policy.
"Kill Europeans!": Mixed-up Muslims who want to hurt those who appease them and kiss their asses.
Iran: A peaceful country, badly misunderstood by America and her Zionist Criminal Ally

This notice comes from England, and it sounds that Downies may hold some sort of convention there.
Experts fly in for maggot summit
EXPERTS from across the globe are flying into Manchester to attend a major international conference - on maggots.
The Manchester Maggot Meeting will see 70 delegates from across Europe, the US, Japan and South America descend to compare notes and research on fruit-fly (Drosophila) larvae.
Oh! The convention is about real maggots!
It still could be for and about liberals, right?

A study of the speeches done during the 2004 election show that John Kerry's speeches were "depressed" sounding, and that John Downwards, the apparently fey moron from North Carolina, sounded "feminine."
Oh - and Dick Cheney was the most "manly" of the 4 candidates running.
Smart Talk and Girly Talk on the Campaign Trail
Forget the Swift boat ads, the economy or international terrorism. Here's what really may have decided the last presidential election:
President Bush and Vice President Cheney sounded more presidential than their Democratic counterparts. Sen. John F. Kerry (Mass.) seemed the most depressed or suicidal. And Kerry's running mate, Sen. John Edwards (N.C.), sounded the most like a "girly man."
This comes as no surprise. Kerry has always sounded depressed - he sounds like he needs a suicide hotline even when he flashes one of those fake smiles - and Downwards is just a pretty boy. And this almost won a national election? Yikes!
