It appears that when an entire country changes its mind on the fraud of global warming, Al Gore has a hissy fit. As we took notice that Canada seems ready to dump the bullshit Kyoto Protocols and come up with a sensible plan to combat alleged global warming, Al Gore went into hyperventilation as he sees another country seeing his Chicken Little approach not being their approach.
Just think: we avoided having Al Gore running this country by a few hundred votes in Florida. Yikes.
Gore Calls Canada Climate Plan a 'Fraud'
Al Gore condemned Canada's new plan to reduce greenhouse gases, saying it was "a complete and total fraud" because it lacks specifics and gives industry a way to actually increase emissions.
Under the initiative announced Thursday, Canada aims to reduce the current level of greenhouse gas emissions 20 percent by 2020. But the government acknowledged it would not meet its obligations under the Kyoto Protocol, which requires 35 industrialized countries to cut greenhouse-gas emissions by 5 percent below 1990 levels by 2012.
The country's emissions are now 30 percent above 1990 levels.
The conservative government's strategy focuses both on reducing emissions of gases blamed for global warming and improving air quality. But the plan failed to spell out what many of its regulations will look like.
Gore said the plan did not make clear how Canada would reach its 2020 emissions goal. He also criticized the plan for allowing industries to pollute more if they use emissions-cutting technologies while increasing production.
"In my opinion, it is a complete and total fraud," Gore said Saturday. "It is designed to mislead the Canadian people."
Al Gore calls this a fraud, yet he has gushing love for the Euro-peons, whose greenhouse gas emissions continue to rise despite their plans.
The story here is that Al Gore is a fraud, and the worst Climate Nazi of our time. Perhaps of all time.

A new report shows that global warming has hit Mars - that's right, the planet Mars. The report does not say that cars, or greenhouse gases, or other man-made pollutants are causing it - it is just the environment.
Hmmmmm....one wonders if these same scientists will tell gasbags like Al Gore and Sheryl Crow about their findings?
Climate change hits Mars
Mars is being hit by rapid climate change and it is happening so fast that the red planet could lose its southern ice cap, writes Jonathan Leake.
Scientists from Nasa say that Mars has warmed by about 0.5C since the 1970s. This is similar to the warming experienced on Earth over approximately the same period.
Since there is no known life on Mars it suggests rapid changes in planetary climates could be natural phenomena.
The mechanism at work on Mars appears, however, to be different from that on Earth. One of the researchers, Lori Fenton, believes variations in radiation and temperature across the surface of the Red Planet are generating strong winds.
In a paper published in the journal Nature, she suggests that such winds can stir up giant dust storms, trapping heat and raising the planet’s temperature.
Notice the phrase: "The mechanism at work on Mars appears, however, to be different from that on Earth." How is this known? Are scientists right now walking on Mars to see what is causing the warming? Of course not. It is all a guess - just like the guesses being used to conclude why the Earth's temperature has gone up 2 degrees in a century.
Maybe, in fact, planets just cool off and warm up in stages. It could all be natural.
But don't tell that to the Climate Nazis. It could put them out of business.

Read this article and imagine what would happen to someone who would propose that abortion be made as illegal with women having them be fined $1,000 each time. But for some reason, liberals reading the Constitution go blind when they reach the SECOND AMENDMENT, which allows for gun ownership. Abortion is not mentioned anywhere in the Constitution, but when any judicial decision goes against the abortionists, they go nutsy fagin. Constitution vs. nothing - but liberals only like to protect things they agree with. It is why they are liberals.
The disarming of America
LAST week's tragedy at Virginia Tech in which a mentally disturbed person gunned down 32 of America's finest - intelligent young people with futures ahead of them - once again puts the phenomenon of an armed society into focus for Americans.
The likely underestimate of how many guns are wandering around America runs at 240 million in a population of about 300 million. What was clear last week is that at least two of those guns were in the wrong hands.
When people talk about doing something about guns in America, it often comes down to this: "How could America disarm even if it wanted to? There are so many guns out there."
Now, how would one disarm the American population? First of all, federal or state laws would need to make it a crime punishable by a $1,000 fine and one year in prison per weapon to possess a firearm. The population would then be given three months to turn in their guns, without penalty.
Hunters would be able to deposit their hunting weapons in a centrally located arsenal, heavily guarded, from which they would be able to withdraw them each hunting season upon presentation of a valid hunting license. The weapons would be required to be redeposited at the end of the season on pain of arrest. When hunters submit a request for their weapons, federal, state, and local checks would be made to establish that they had not been convicted of a violent crime since the last time they withdrew their weapons. In the process, arsenal staff would take at least a quick look at each hunter to try to affirm that he was not obviously unhinged.
It would have to be the case that the term "hunting weapon" did not include anti-tank ordnance, assault weapons, rocket-propelled grenade launchers, or other weapons of war.
All antique or interesting non-hunting weapons would be required to be delivered to a local or regional museum, also to be under strict 24-hour-a-day guard. There they would be on display, if the owner desired, as part of an interesting exhibit of antique American weapons, as family heirlooms from proud wars past or as part of collections.
Gun dealers could continue their work, selling hunting and antique firearms. They would be required to maintain very tight inventories. Any gun sold would be delivered immediately by the dealer to the nearest arsenal or the museum, not to the buyer.
The disarmament process would begin after the initial three-month amnesty. Special squads of police would be formed and trained to carry out the work. Then, on a random basis to permit no advance warning, city blocks and stretches of suburban and rural areas would be cordoned off and searches carried out in every business, dwelling, and empty building. All firearms would be seized. The owners of weapons found in the searches would be prosecuted: $1,000 and one year in prison for each firearm.
Clearly, since such sweeps could not take place all across the country at the same time. But fairly quickly there would begin to be gun-swept, gun-free areas where there should be no firearms. If there were, those carrying them would be subject to quick confiscation and prosecution. On the streets it would be a question of stop-and-search of anyone, even grandma with her walker, with the same penalties for "carrying."
Somehow, when the government arrests six Muslims threatening the safety of passengers on an airplane, civil libertarians get all nervous. But having "special squads of police" roaming the country breaking into people's homes to find guns is okay - because, after all, the SECOND AMENDMENT means nothing to liberals. If they could they would erase it from the Constitution.
Check out the photo of the asshole who wrote this article. Where did this crack addict crawl out from? One wishes he could crawl back - and die. Quickly.

We have a story of how the Palestinians, those peace-loving people*, are trying to hit Israel with more rockets and more homicide bombers.
And the reaction by Norway? Things are working out with Hamas in charge.
Laughable. Simply laughable.
Despite attacks, large-scale Gaza operation not expected
The IDF will not embark on a large-scale operation in the Gaza Strip despite the rocket and mortar attacks launched on Israel on Independence Day, security and government officials estimated on Tuesday evening.
Instead, the IDF was expected to carry out a targeted response.
Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas called on Israel to show restraint in order to avoid a "deterioration" in the region."
He said the rocket attacks were a "one-time violation of the truce."
Abbas was speaking in Rome after meeting with Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi.
Italian Foreign Minister Massimo D'Alema said that Rome was concerned about the renewed rocket attacks and called on Abbas to adhere to the principles set by International Quartet, especially the recognition of Israel.
The barrages of Kassam rockets and mortar shells Hamas fired at Israel on Tuesday morning were meant to provide cover for and distract attention from an attempted infiltration by a terror cell, whose members intended to kidnap IDF soldiers deployed along the Gaza border, IDF sources reported Tuesday afternoon.
The sources said that the army's heightened alert, as well as a quick response by ground troops and IAF helicopters that had been hovering over Gaza, foiled the attempt. According to preliminary reports, no cell managed to cross into Israel.
So, we have the Palestinians trying to hit Israel with rockets to cover the infiltration of their subhuman terrorists. Lovely, eh?
So, how come the Norwegians, stupider than wood, had this to say?
Norway: Palestinian engagement slowly bearing fruit
Norway said the month-long policy of international engagement with the Palestinian unity government, led by the Islamic group Hamas, was starting to bring results and helped avoid "civil war tendencies."
Norway was the first Western state to recognise the new Palestinian government last month and said it would soon be ready to resume aid to the Palestinians, raising criticism from Israel and the United States. In an interview ahead of this week's NATO meeting in Oslo, Norway's Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere called on the European Union and the United States to normalise economic relations with the Palestinian government to shore up its fragile institutions.
Those results? More terrorism, and more appeasement of the Palestinian terrorists.
Norway: one of the dumbest countries on the planet. Period.

A "man" threatened a Republican official in Nevada, and except for a small story on Yahoo! News, the story went unreported.
Now, imagine what the reaction would be if a "man" threatened a Downie or a liberal official in some state with a rifle.
Man arrested in threat on GOP official
LAS VEGAS - A man accused of threatening a Nevada Republican Party official with a rifle was arrested Tuesday in a vehicle in which police found swords, knives, a shotgun, shells and a flare gun, authorities said.
Matthew Hunter Kramer, 31, did not resist officers who arrested him on a warrant issued after the April 3 confrontation at state Republican Party offices in Las Vegas. It wasn't clear why he was not arrested earlier.
Zachary Moyle, executive director of the state GOP, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Kramer invited him to look at something in the trunk of his Mercedes before pulling out a rifle, pointing it at his face and warning that he would be back if President Bush vetoed an emergency war spending bill being considered by Congress.
Yep, liberals are not violent. Not at all.
Yeah - that's the ticket.
Imagine this: George W. Bush's best friend, who he has known for years, who he worked for, who he aided in getting government contracts, who raised or is raising money for him, is being investigated for criminal activities, among which are stealing millions in government contracts in Illinois.
What would be the media's reaction? The Downies in Congress? Hearings, calls for special prosecutors, and Keith Dimbulbermann telling his 3 viewers that Bush is a corrupt man with ties to another Jack Abramoff.
So, let us turn this story into what it is: Barack Obama's good buddy, Tony Rezko, has stolen tens of millions in government contracts - contracts that Obama helped him to get. And Rezko, the good friend, bought properties for Obama and is one of his largest fundraisers.
The media's reaction? "Please go away - nothing to see here."
How low will the American media go to cover for this fraud?
Obama Donor Behind Problem Buildings
CHICAGO (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said he had no idea longtime friend and now-indicted fundraiser Antoin ``Tony'' Rezko was behind problem buildings in the South Side district that Obama once represented as a state senator.
``Should I have known these buildings were in a state of disrepair? My answer would be that it wasn't brought to my attention,'' Obama told newspapers Monday.
Rezko's Rezmar Corp. obtained millions in government funds to rehab apartment buildings for the needy.
Court and city documents show 30 of the apartment buildings owned and managed by Rezmar have since been subject to foreclosures, code violations and lawsuits filed by the city, the Chicago Sun-Times reported in its Monday editions. About a third of those 30 buildings were in Obama's Illinois Senate district.
Telephone calls to Rezmar went unanswered Tuesday morning.
``One of the perils of public life is that you end up being responsible for, or you're held responsible for, associations that you didn't necessarily know were a problem,'' Obama said.
Rezko became acquainted with Obama in 1990 and has been a key fundraiser for the rising political star. Also a key contributor to Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, Rezko was indicted in October on charges of shaking down investment firms that wanted to do business with the state.
Obama's relationship with Rezko came under scrutiny last year after it was reported that Rezko's wife purchased a lot next door to Obama's new house on Chicago's South Side. Obama then paid Rezko $104,500 to expand the Obama house's yard into part of the lot.
Obama has said the arrangements were ethical and proper, but acknowledged the sale was a "boneheaded" business transaction.
Since the Downies always want investigations, what we need to do is be consistent, and call for a special prosecutor and internal US Senate and state of Illinois investigations into all of this, to see how much crookedness Mr. Obama is involved in.
And since Downies need no evidence to accuse people of being involved in criminal activity, we have to be consistent and say that it looks like Barack Obama is a crook, a thief, and a grifter, and needs to resign from the US Senate right away.
It's only fair - right, liberals?

Three Danish lawmakers said that veils should not be allowed to be worn by women in their country, and compared them to swastikas worn by Nazis.
What is the result of this? The police were called, and these three were charged with making discriminatory statements.
This is incredible. Simply incredible.
Danish Lawmakers Reported to Police for Remarks on Muslim Veils
Three Danish lawmakers, all members of the anti-immigration Danish People's Party, have been reported to police for making remarks comparing Muslim women's headscarves with swastikas.
The three were reported by the Documentation and Advisory Center on Racial Discrimination, Line Boegsted, spokeswoman of the Copenhagen-based non-governmental organization, said today in a telephone interview.
"The comments they've made were deeply unpleasant," Boegsted said. "The question is now if they also were illegal."
Parliament member Soeren Krarup was cited in daily Politiken and other Danish media on April 18 as saying that Muslim women's headscarves, like Nazi Germany's swastikas, symbolized totalitarian repression. Fellow lawmaker Morten Messerschmidt and a party representative in the European Parliament, Mogens Camre, repeated Krarup's comments in Danish media today.
"We're reporting them to police for violating racism laws on behalf of two Danes who have asked us to do so,'' Boegsted said. The three can only be punished if the Danish and the European parliaments lift their immunity.
Krarup made his comments after Asmaa Abdol-Hamid, a Muslim politician from the Red-Green Alliance Party, said she would wear her headscarf if elected to Denmark's parliament.
Krarup confirmed today on his party's Web site that he believes there are "common features between the Muslim veiling of women and other totalitarian symbols."
Hitler would be proud of his fellow Nazis now running Europe. Maybe the Nazis did win the Second World War.
Leave it to CNN to let Tom Plate, the former editor of the Los Angeles Times (which by itself shows what a scumbag liberal he is), rave on that guns should just be declared illegal in America - the Second Amendment be damned.
Plate: Let's lay down our right to bear arms
Most days, it is not at all hard to feel proud to be an American. But on days such as this, it is very difficult.
The pain that the parents of the slain students feel hits deep into everyone's hearts. At the University of California, Los Angeles, students are talking about little else. It is not that they feel especially vulnerable because they are students at a major university, as is Virginia Tech, but because they are (to be blunt) citizens of High Noon America.
"High Noon" is a famous film. The 1952 Western told the story of a town marshal (played by the superstar actor Gary Cooper) who is forced to eliminate a gang of killers by himself. They are eventually gunned down.
The use of guns is often the American technique of choice for all kinds of conflict resolution. Our famous Constitution, about which many of us are generally so proud, enshrines -- along with the right to freedom of speech, press, religion and assembly -- the right to own guns. That's an apples and oranges list if there ever was one.
Not all of us are so proud and triumphant about the gun-guarantee clause. The right to free speech, press, religion and assembly and so on seem to be working well, but the gun part, not so much.
Note to Mr. Plate: No one gives a shit what you think works or doesn't work, or if you are not happy being an American. The Constitution makes gun ownership legal, whether you like it or not.
So drop dead.
Britain banned guns following a 1996 massacre in Scotland. And the dimwitted liberal media want to tell you that this has made a major impact on crime there.
But if you read, the dimwits let the cat out of the bag: crimes with guns have exploded since that time.
It seems to be true: when owning a gun is made criminal, only criminals will own guns.
Britain's Gun Laws Seen as Curbing Attacks
At 9:35 a.m. on a March day in 1996, a disgruntled former scout leader walked into a primary school gym in Dunblane, Scotland, with four guns and killed 16 children and their teacher in Britain's worst mass shooting. The crime still causes Britons to recoil when they recall the victims, many of them only 5 years old.
That rampage, with guns purchased legally -- as were those used in last week's killings at Virginia Tech -- led to a near-total ban on handguns, and Britain's current laws are considered among the most restrictive in the world. Days after the shooting, hundreds of thousands of people signed petitions demanding tougher gun control, and weeks later more than 22,000 illegal or unwanted guns, and nearly 700,000 rounds of ammunition, were turned in to authorities under a special amnesty.
Although England already had tough restrictions in place, champions of the gun control laws say the new limits have been vital in keeping fatal shootings relatively rare.
So, the question is, what are the numbers behind the rhetoric?
Here they are, slipped in quickly so you won't notice them. And they are not good:
The number of crimes in which a handgun was used in England and Wales has risen from 299 in 1995 to 1,024 last year. Offenses committed with all types of firearms, including air guns, have also increased.
Ouch. But the numbers by themselves are not the only doom to this story - get this:
David Wilson, a professor of criminology at the University of Central England in Birmingham, said more people are killed in England by a knife or a fist than by a gun. England does not have a culture of "a right to bear arms," Wilson said, and even before the Dunblane incident, England was known for tough gun control.
So, to sum up: guns were pretty much illegal prior to Dunblane, but some nut got guns and committed the act anyway. The tough laws in the UK have shown to be a laugh, as gun crimes have exploded.
Remember, however: Britain laughs at us over the issue of guns. Someone should tell them to start looking in the mirror and see what imbeciles they are.

It appears that Canada, under new PM Stephen Harper, is waking up from its psychotic liberal nightmare and is about to dump its cooperation with the economy-busting Kyoto Protocols.
Al Gore isn't going to like this...but, then again, who gives one rat's shit what Al Gore likes or doesn't like?
Canada joins anti-Kyoto bloc
This week's announcement by the Canadian government -- that it may join a U.S.-led coalition focused on voluntary emissions cuts -- could be part of a global shift away from Kyoto's binding targets.
In a somewhat surprising development, Canada, a long-time supporter of the Kyoto Protocol, announced that it may want to join the Asia-Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate (AP6), a six-nation coalition focusing on voluntary emission-reduction steps and technology transfers. Many environmentalists oppose AP6 out of a fear that it may undermine political support for the legally binding Kyoto treaty.
The partnership, launched in mid-2005, is an agreement among six countries -- Australia, China, India, Japan, South Korea and the United States -- to develop and share greenhouse-gasreduction technology to combat climate change. According to the AP6 Web site, the six partner countries "represent about half of the world's economy, population and energy use, and they produce about 65% of the world's coal, 48% of the world's steel, 37% of world's aluminum, and 61% of the world's cement." The countries also account for half the world's greenhouse-gas emissions.
Unlike the Kyoto Protocol, the Asia-Pacific Partnership is voluntary and technology-based, and lets each country set its own goals for greenhouse gas emission reductions, rather than legally binding them to a greenhouse gas reduction target. The group sees itself as "a voluntary, non-legally binding framework for international co-operation to facilitate the development, diffusion, deployment, and transfer of existing, emerging and longer term cost-effective, cleaner, more efficient technologies and practices."
This proves the old adage: changen your government from liberal to conservative, and watch as things improve almost instantaneously.
This week we saw a video from Pakistan ("home of more Islamic nutjobs than even Saudi Arabia") in which a 12 year old boy slices the head off of some schmuck.
And who is the schmuck? Why, says his father - he was a loyal member of the Taliban!
Doesn't loyalty to these fruitcakes mean anything anymore?
Al-Arabiya TV broadcasts a 12-year-old boy beheading a man on behalf of the Taliban
In one of the most disturbing images ever broadcast on a television news station, the Dubai-based al-Arabiya TV network yesterday aired parts of a video of the beheading of an Afghan man, Ghulam Nabi, by a 12-year-old boy.
The video footage shows Mr Nabi being blindfolded and then allegedly confessing to providing the US with information that led to a US air strike on a senior Taliban leader last December. The 12-year-old boy, acting on behalf of the Taliban, lifts up a large knife, denounces Mr Nabi as a spy, and then hacks off his head. The crowd of men and boys watching shout "God is great!" as the boy hoists up the dead man's head by the hair and blood gushes out.
The father of Mr Nabi, who lives in Pakistan and who confirmed that his son was the man killed in the video, said his son had been “a loyal member of the Taliban."
Usually, we mourn for those who Muslims behead. This time, we won't bother, because it could well have been this nut who was beheading someone else.

Sheryl Crow, doofus extraordinaire, says that we should stop using so much toilet paper to stop global warming. Yikes.
Here is what we have to say: if assholes like Sheryl Crow would shut the fuck up permanently, global warming, if it exists, would go away.
Saving the Earth: The Biodiesel Bus Blog
I have spent the better part of this tour trying to come up with easy ways for us all to become a part of the solution to global warming. Although my ideas are in the earliest stages of development, they are, in my mind, worth investigating. One of my favorites is in the area of forest conservation which we heavily rely on for oxygen. I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting. Now, I don't want to rob any law-abiding American of his or her God-given rights, but I think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required.
Piece of advice to Sheryl Crow fans: remember that she doesn't use toilet paper, so don't shake her hand.

The NY Times, that bastion of everything that is wrong with America and American journalism, is once again reporting that an "ongoing advertising recession" is causing to report more and more financial losses.
This coming in the midst of a growing US economy, record-low unemployment, and a record-high stock market.
Perhaps The Times is just a piece of shit newsrag that no one wants to advertise in!
Times Co., Gannett and Tribune Co. Report Declines
Buffeted by an ongoing advertising recession, The New York Times Company and the Gannett Company announced yesterday that their first-quarter profits declined while the Tribune Company reported a loss.
The disappointing results underscored the increasingly tough economic times faced by the industry as advertisers continued to shift their focus away from print to the Internet. In particular, areas like real estate and classified, previously rich revenue generators for newspapers, continued to be weak.
The New York Times Company reported a 26 percent decline in its first-quarter profit. Earnings were $23.9 million, compared with $32.4 million last year. Stripping out special items like staff reduction costs, an accelerated depreciation charge and a tax adjustment, the company’s earnings of 25 cents a share were the same as a year ago.
And, more good news: Gannett, owner of USA Today, and other media outlets noted for their anti-American and anti-Bush stands, are also reporting losses.
It couldn't happen to nicer assholes.
Check this story out: al Qaeda in Iraq is threatening shopkeepers to keep their vegetables separated because certain ones do not belong together.
This from a religion in which men fuck sheep for fun.
Al Qaeda: the new war on vegetables.
If you are a Muslim or support Islam, you ARE a vegetable.
Iraqi insurgents now fighting each other
American commanders cite al-Qaida's severe brand of Islam, which is so extreme that in Baqouba, al-Qaida has warned street vendors not to place tomatoes beside cucumbers because the vegetables are different genders, Col. David Sutherland said.
This story is too funny. And it shows why Muslims are so fucking dangerous.
Bill Clinton, rapist and perjurer, appeared on Larry King Dead, and told the snoring audience that his wife loves the US Senate, and will return with a smile if she is not elected President.
Best get ready for that eventuality, Hillary, because J. Edgar Hoover has a better chance of running the FBI again than you have of winning the White House.
President Clinton: Wife will be 'fine' if she loses
Former President Bill Clinton told CNN Thursday his wife, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, will have no qualms about returning to the Senate if she loses her bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.
"You know she's not -- some people who run for president can't wait to get out of the Senate, or out of whatever other job she's got. She loves it. She's still doing it. She's still going to her committee meetings, going to upstate New York and trying to run for president as well," Clinton told CNN's Larry King. "So, for her personally she's going to be fine regardless. I think it'd be best for the country if she were elected president, but if voters make another choice, she's a great senator, and she loves her job, and we'll have a great life."
Hey - what's this "we" shit, Billy boy? You haven't slept with your wife since your daughter was born 25 years ago, if even then.
Of course, the reasons why Hillary Clinton won't win are numerous - too numerous to list here. But here is one of them: the Rutger's Women's Basketball team, slapped by Don Imus, avoided meeting Der Hillary when she showed up at the college.
Hold on - a WOMEN'S basketball team did not want to meet Hillary Clinton? Wow!
Rutgers team skips Clinton meeting
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton finally dropped by Rutgers to meet with the school's women's basketball coach -- but the players themselves skipped the half-hour meeting, citing their studies and Imus fatigue.
Clinton had been scheduled to meet with Scarlet Knight coach C. Vivian Stringer and an assistant, and possibly some of the players, Monday to talk with them about Don Imus's "nappy-headed ho" comments.
But that sit-down was postponed due to weather and because the story seemed far less significant after the Virginia Tech killings.
Of course excuses are made, like those pesky killings in Virginia, which have no impact on this story.
If people thought that Hillary Clinton was going to be the next President - and the first woman President - you can bet those women basketball players would have marched on their knees in the snow to meet her. That they avoided her like the plague, and that the media ignored the whole story to continue to shield the public from bad news on the Hillary front, shows why her chances are better that she will become the head of al Qaeda before she is elected President.
Three black men walked into a pizza shop in Oakland, California, and tried to rob it. The owner pulled out a gun and shot all three, killing one of them. The owner is upset for having killed someone, but better the scumbag thief than he and/or his family.
But the newspaper reporting this story, The San Francisco Chronicle, goes to the thief's home and in soothing terms tries to make him into a nice guy with a nice smile who just happened to be an unrepentent scumbag who was killed trying to rob a pizza shop:
Man killed in attempt at robbery; Pizza shop owner fires on assailant
Catarino Piedra, 41, kept a gun underneath the counter at the Coliseum Pizza and Taqueria that he owned in East Oakland because his drivers had been robbed many times while making deliveries.
Allen Joseph Hicks III, 22, was an accused batterer on probation for a drug conviction and an aspiring rap artist whom everybody in his neighborhood knew as "Boonie."
The lives of the two men intersected tragically at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday when Hicks, armed with a pistol and joined by two other men, tried to rob Piedra inside the popular pizzeria at 89th Avenue and International Boulevard. Fearful that the assailants might hurt him, his wife and three children -- all of whom were inside the restaurant -- Piedra pulled out his 9mm semiautomatic pistol and opened fire, killing Hicks, police said.
Hicks was remembered at a growing makeshift memorial Friday near the corner of 90th Avenue and Olive Street in East Oakland. Friends left balloons, candles and bottles of Hennessy cognac on the street and wrote messages on white boards tied to a fence.
"Hard-headed ass, Boonie," one message read. "The world's gone miss u boy."
"He always had a smile on his face," said a 22-year-old man who identified himself as a rapper named Little Al. "He was a solid dude, loyal."
He didn't express any anger at the pizzeria owner for shooting his friend. "Life happens," he said. "I'm not upset, you feel me? You wouldn't want it to happen, but it happened. Ain't no telling why that shooting occurred."
Hicks had pleaded no contest to marijuana possession after police reported finding him counting 19 bags of marijuana on 90th Avenue in June 2004, court records show. He spent two months in jail and was placed on three years' probation. Police then arrested him on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale in April 2005, and prosecutors sought to revoke his probation.
"I don't sell weed, I smoke it," Hicks told officers during the second incident, the police report said.
Last month, Alameda County prosecutors charged Hicks with two counts each of battery and making threats and one count of brandishing a gun in November and December against his girlfriend, with whom he had been engaged to be married.
Wow! He was a "solid dude"!
Okay. So, Boonie be dead. Boonie should've been dead a long time ago.
Good riddance to Boonie. The shame is that his two cohorts survived.
Speaking of blaming Republicans for everything, how about blaming the parents of the murdered students from Virginia Tech for the war in Iraq?
That's right - you read that correctly. Now check out exactly what this psychotic loon has to say:
A Momentary Glimpse into Daily Life in Iraq
The American people, including the families of the murdered Virginia Tech innocents, have collective blood-guilt on their hands. I have not gone to jail to protest the war machine, so I am no better than they and probably a good deal worse because I have given the issue some thought. How many of those parents in the audience hearing the President's words had elected to Congress men and women who voted for lax laws on gun ownership? How many of those parents in the audience had also voted for legislators who backed the president's illegal invasion of Iraq?
Remember: when you vote Downie, you vote to make assholes like this have some say over all of our lives.
If that doesn't frighten you, nothing will.
Joe Biden, the dunce from Delaware who is running for President (as if anyone cared), said in a speech that Republicans, including Newt Gingrich, are responsible for what Don Imus said.
Wait! Gingrich is responsible?
According to doofus Biden, he is, and so are Republicans.
Clinton prods black leaders on health
Biden, the Senate Foreign Relations committee chairman, called for military action to resolve the killing in Darfur and promoted his plan for peace in Iraq that would divide the country along ethnic lines.
He said Republicans — from former House Speaker Newt Gingrich to President Bush and White House political adviser Karl Rove — had "wallowed in the politics of polarization."
"I would argue, since 1994 with the Gingrich revolution, just take a look at Iraq, Venezuela, Katrina, what's gone down at Virginia Tech, Darfur, Imus. Take a look. This didn't happen accidentally, all these things," he said.
So now we know - Republicans are to blame for Hugo Chavez taking over Venezuela, for Hurricane Katrina hitting Louisiana, for the shootings at Virginia Tech, for the mass murder of 200,000 people in Darfur, and for Don Imus. And it was not an accident...it was done deliberately.
Can't someone stuff an oil-soaked rag into this asshole's mouth? Let's do the world a favor and find someone who can tolerate getting close enough to this imbecile to do it, and fast.

An American peace worker disappeared last week in the Philippines. This week, her body was found in a ditch, near where Marxist rebels who are fighting the government are camped out.
The police think this is a murder. Whoa! They shouldn't make such a judgment so quickly, considering her body was only found in a ditch!
U.S. Peace Corps volunteer found dead in Philippines
MANILA (Reuters) - A U.S. Peace Corps volunteer was feared murdered in the Philippines after her body was found in a shallow grave in a remote, mountainous area on Wednesday, the police said.
Julia Campbell, 40, was last seen on April 8 in Ifugao, a province famed for its rice terraces about 160 miles north of Manila. She planned to hike in a hilly area near Batad village.
Soldiers uncovered her body close to the village after a 10-day search. Her feet were protruding from the soil.
"Theory is she was killed," Beth Cedo, a spokeswoman for the police, said in a mobile phone text message.
Wow! Inspector Clouseau couldn't have done it any better!
And, this just in: London police believe that a string of prostitutes found dead in the East End in 1888 with their throats slit are the victims of a serial killer named Jack the Ripper. They have ruled out suicide as the reason for the deaths.

As a state run by liberal Downies, opposed by incompetent Republicans, New Jersey is one of the worst-run and corrupt in the country. Plus, it smells like old corpses. Now, we find out that for years, the politicians in Joizy have been voting for bills and laws they never read - and now, because of their utter stupidity, the state pension system is in complete collapse.
Don't let states be run by liberals...it will ruin you every time.
Senators Push for Answers on Pensions in New Jersey
State senators from both political parties said at a hearing on Wednesday that they had been shocked to learn that they had voted again and again in recent years for measures that had left the state pension in great distress, and they faulted the state treasury for failing to explain to them the risks of what they were doing.
“I had no idea we were in the company of some of the same corporations that I have condemned for not funding their pensions,” said Senator Shirley K. Turner, a Democrat from Mercer County. “And now, it seems, we’re in the same boat, and sinking.”
We say: good for these idiots. Maybe they can raise taxes to cover the shortfall...what? Joizy has some of the highest taxes in the nation?
Osama Barama Bananarama, the imbecilic and unintelligent US Senator who has done nothing in 2+ years in that body but seems to believe he should be elected President, made another remark this week that proves he should be a national joke, if only the media would get the shit out of their ears and report what he says and not that he is some telegenic black man.
In the wake of the utterly horrific murders of 32 innocent people at Virginia Tech in Virginia, Bananarama made the following comment, proving the old adage that when you have nothing good to say to just shut the fuck up:
Obama on Virginia Tech, and "Violence"
A reader (who found my take on Obama's Milwaukee talk cynical) points me to the audio of his remarks last night, a 23-minute .mp3 file you can listen to here. [UPDATE: IE7 users see below.]
It's worth a listen, and it captures what moves a lot of people about Obama, and bothers others: His instinct for abstraction and large themes, and his sense that America's problems have at their root solutions that have as much to do with hope and process as with any specific course of action.
Other politicians would -- and will -- stay with the concrete. They'll talk about this tragedy, and, soon, gun control.
But while Obama mourns the slain students, he takes the massacre more as a theme than as a point of discussion.
"Maybe nothing could have been done to prevent it," he says toward the end.
So he moves quickly to the abstract: Violence, and the general place of violence in American life.
"There's also another kind of violence that we're going to have to think about. It's not necessarily the physical violence, but the violence that we perpetrate on each other in other ways," he said, and goes on to catalogue other forms of "violence."
There's the "verbal violence" of Imus.
There's "the violence of men and women who have worked all their lives and suddenly have the rug pulled out from under them because their job is moved to another country."
So, according to Bananarama, Don Imus making racist statements and companies moving jobs to other countries to save money is the exact same thing as some insane nutjob gunning down 32 innocent people.
Here is the bottom line: Barack Obama is surely a naive, undisciplined, and immature little man. Someone needs to get him off the campaign trail for the US presidency, send him back to Illinois for some adult lessons, and tell him to shut his fucking mouth. Because he is a joke...and a bad one at that.
A future Downie voter has appeared in a court in Dallas, Texas, to give evidence in a civil hearing between two neighbors.
The witness was sworn in, but, like all liberals should do, had nothing to say so he clammed up. The jury was so impressed that the two sides quickly came to an agreement and the case ended.
Buddy the Donkey Appears As Witness in Dispute Between Two Neighbors in Dallas
The first witness in a lawsuit Wednesday between two neighbors was a real ass. Buddy the donkey walked to the bench and stared at the jury, the picture of a gentle, well-mannered creature and not the loud, aggressive animal he had been accused of being.
The donkey was at the center of a dispute between oilman John Cantrell and attorney Gregory Shamoun that began after Cantrell complained about a storage shed Shamoun was building in his backyard in Dallas.
He said Shamoun retaliated by bringing Buddy from his ranch in Midlothian and putting him in the backyard.
Cantrell complained of donkey noise and manure piles.
Yep, that witness is definitely a future Hillary Clinton/Osama Barama Bananarama voter. What a jackass!
France discovered in 2000 that al Qaeda was planning a massive attack on the United States and never told the US government, as MSNBC is reporting.
The Left likes to say that President Bush knew of 9/11 and let it happen anyway. How many will now say that about the French? Wanna bet none will?
Report: France knew of al-Qaida hijack plot
PARIS - French secret services produced nine reports between September 2000 and August 2001 looking at the al-Qaida threat to the United States, and knew it planned to hijack an aircraft, the French newspaper Le Monde said on Monday.
The newspaper said it had obtained 328 pages of classified documents that showed foreign agents had infiltrated Osama bin Laden’s network and were carefully tracking its moves.
One document prepared in January 2001 was entitled, “Plan to hijack an aircraft by Islamic radicals,” and said the operation had been discussed in Kabul at the start of 2000 by al-Qaida, Taliban and Chechen militants.
Where has this story played? No where, that's where. Could it be because the leftists in the American media do not want to harm the reputation of their friends in Paris?
Harry Reid, who through the stupidity of the American people is the majority leader of the US Senate, said today that "the war in Iraq is lost."
Harry Reid should be arrested and thrown out of the US Senate. Someone from Nevada should stand up and declare that Reid should resign or be thrown out of the Senate. One news network should call for his resignation.
But none of this will happen - because this has become a nation of pussies.
Iraq war is 'lost': US Democrat leader
The war in Iraq "is lost" and a US troop surge is failing to bring peace to the country, the leader of the Democratic majority in the US Congress, Harry Reid, said Thursday.
"I believe ... that this war is lost, and this surge is not accomplishing anything, as is shown by the extreme violence in Iraq this week," Reid told journalists.
Reid said he had delivered the same message to US President George W. Bush on Wednesday, when the US president met with senior lawmakers to discuss how to end a standoff over an emergency war funding bill.
"I know I was the odd guy out at the White House, but I told him at least what he needed to hear ... I believe the war at this stage can only be won diplomatically, politically and economically."
Harry Reid is part of the new America of surrender to our enemies. He is a shameful and disgusting figure, and one hopes he pays for what he has said in some way, shape or form.
The Russian "news" agency, Pravda, reports that Don Imus was NOT fired for making racist comments against the Rutgers Women's Basketball team. Oh, no no no. According to the loonies at Pravda, Imus was fired by George W. Bush because Imus know "the truth" about 9/11 and had to be shut up.
You just cannot make this stuff up - we let the liberals do it for us.
American radio icon Don Imus disgraced, fired after threat to reveal 9/11 secrets
In a clear sign of its intent to reign in dissident American media personalities, and their growing influence in American culture, US War Leaders this past week launched an unprecedented attack upon one of their most politically 'connected', and legendary, radio hosts named Don Imus after his threats to release information relating to the September 11, 2001 attacks upon that country.
According to European reports of the events surrounding Don Imus that have gripped the United States this past week, it was during an interview with another American media personality, Tim Russert, who is the host of a television programme frequently used by US War Leaders, wherein while decrying the state of care being given to American War wounded stated, "So those bastards want to keep these boys [in reference to US Soldiers] secret? Let's see how they like it if I start talking about their [in reference to US War Leaders] secrets, starting with 9/11."
Unable to attack such a powerful media figure as Don Imus, directly, the US War Leaders, and as we have seen many times before, resorted to a massive media attack against him using as the reason a racial slur against a US woman's basketball team, but which has been pointed out by other media outlets was not by any means a rare occurrence for the legendary radio icon to make.
But, to the US War Leaders, Don Imus represented the most serious threat, to date, of the growing assault against them by America's media personalities threatening to expose the truths behind the events of September 11, 2001 and the Iraq/Afghanistan Wars; and to such an extent that another American media personality, Rosie O'Donnell, has expressed concern that US Military Leaders could actually imprison Mr. Imus.
Yep, you heard it here first: "US War Leaders" (whatever that means) "launched an attack" on Imus. Did you know that Al Sharpton is a "US War Leader"? Did you know that Jesse Jackass is a "US War Leader"? Or Bruce Gordon, formerly of Black Entertainment Television and now a board member of CBS? We didn't! This is breaking news! These men are "US War Leaders"!
Now, did you miss the speech by President Bush "attacking" Imus? We did, too - because it didn't happen. And did you see where the prediction by industrial heavyweight Rosie O'Donnell (definitely a leading luminary when it comes to the truth) that Imus would be "arrested" came true? Neither did we!
Want to bet this shit was written by someone connected with Air America or Moveon.org? Only a liberal could make up a "news story" which is 100% comedy and 0% news.
Some people wish to believe that Hillary Clinton will somehow be elected President in 2008. But polls continue to show that 1) 50% of voters currently say they will "never" vote for her, and 2) her unfavorability among independents, a critical group, continues to rise.
A new poll shows that more than 50% of all Americans view her unfavorably.
Now - who continues to say that Hillary Clinton will be elected President?
GALLUP: Hillary Clinton's Favorable Rating Plunges
As the early stage of the race for president heats up, support for Sen. Hillary Clinton appears to be cooling. A majority of Americans now have an unfavorable image of her, a new Gallup poll released today shows. Her current 45% favorable rating is one of the lowest Gallup has measured for her since 1993.
Her lead as frontrunner for the Democratic nod has narrowed to just 31% to 26% over Sen. Barack Obama. Former Sen. John Edwards comes in at 16% and Al Gore 15%.
"The recent decline in her image appears to be broad-based, as it is evident among most key subgroups," Gallup reports.
In the latest poll, conducted April 13-15, 2007, more Americans say they have an unfavorable (52%) than a favorable view (45%) of Clinton. As recently as February, her favorable rating was 58%.
It appears that very soon Hillary Clinton will be less popular than the clap. We may already be there.

Roach lookalike and wearer of one of the worst toupees in human history, Dennis Kucinich, Dummy of Ohio, is introducing articles of impeachment against VP Dick Cheney.
Good luck, Dennis. You have a better chance of walking on the moon than getting this joke through the House and Senate.
Articles of Impeachment To Be Filed On Cheney
Looks like he's reached his boiling point.
Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), the most liberal of the Democratic presidential candidates in the primary field, declared in a letter sent to his Democratic House colleagues this morning that he plans to file articles of impeachment against Vice President Dick Cheney.
Kucinich has made ending the war in Iraq the central theme of his campaign. He has even taken aim at the leading Democratic presidential candidates in the field for their votes on authorizing the war.
Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution gives Congress the authority to impeach the president, vice president and "all civil Officers of the United States" for "treason, bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."
Sources tell the Sleuth that in light of the mass killings at Virginia Tech Monday, Kucinich's impeachment plans have been put on hold. There will be no action this week, they say.
Kucinich's office had no comment on the Congressman's "Dear Colleague" letter -- which apparently was drafted over the weekend, before the school massacre -- or on what the focus of articles of impeachment against Cheney would be.
But Kucinich shouldn't hold his breath on getting anywhere with his impeachment plan. "We'll see a Kucinich Administration before we'll see a Cheney impeachment," quipped one Democratic aide.
Here is the text of his letter, a copy of which was forwarded to the Sleuth:
April 17, 2007
This week I intend to introduce Articles of Impeachment with respect to the conduct of Vice President Cheney. Please have your staff contact my office . . . if you would like to receive a confidential copy of the document prior to its introduction in the House.
Dennis J. Kucinich
Member of Congress
It is obvious that Kucinich is a mental midget who needs institutionalization as soon as humanly possible. Anyone want to help Dennis? We for sure don't.

Alan Hart, a Marxist Jew-hating scumbag, has blamed Israel, not the Palestinians, for killing fellow nutbag Alan Johnston.
And we predicted this. It took all of one day.
If Alan Johnston is dead, who, really, was responsible?
At a public meeting in London on Wednesday 11 April, I was asked for my thoughts (as a former ITN and BBC Panorama correspondent) about Alan Johnston's "disappearance" in Gaza. I said that I feared he could be dead, and that if he was, he might well have been shot in the head within minutes of being taken more than a month ago.
If Alan is dead, the truth about who killed him might be in accordance with the claim of the Tawhid al Jihad Brigades group that it was responsible; but it also might not be (repeat might not be).
The group which claimed responsibility in a fax to news agencies on 17 April is an Al Qaeda franchise (driven by events in Iraq), and was unknown in the Palestinian territories; and what can be said for certain is that the Palestinians were the party with absolutely nothing to gain and much to lose from Alan's permanent removal from the scene. And they had much to lose on two counts.
On Count One, Alan was not only the BBC's man, he was the only permanent foreign correspondent in Gaza. He was, in short, the best and most informed provider of news about the Palestinian side of the story; a story which, in many of its details, is an embarrassment to Israel and those governments, most notably the Bush and Blair regimes, which support Israel's efforts to break the will of the Palestinians to continue their struggle for an acceptable minimum of justice.
On Count Two, and if he has been murdered, Alan's death, if it could be blamed on a Palestinian or a pro-Palestinian Arab and/or other Islamist group, would be a huge political setback for the legitimacy of the Palestinian struggle and the present leadership of it. (The Al Qaeda franchise would not give a damn about harming the Palestinian cause).
There is a case for saying (repeat a case) that the party with most to gain from Alan Johnston's permanent disappearance was Israel. It would not be the first time that Israeli agents had dressed as Arabs to make a hit.
If Alan Johnston is dead, it's my hope that the BBC at executive management level will rise above its fear of offending Zionism too much and allow its reporters (Frank Gardner and Jeremy Bowen are second to none) to make a full, thorough and honest investigation.
Here is a wish: perhaps Mr. Hart can be sent to the Palestinians to investigate Johnston's death. And perhaps the same wonderful Palestinians who beheaded Johnston can do the same for Mr. Hart.

Alan Johnston, the rabidly pro-Palestinian BBC reporter kidnapped by those same lovely Palestinians last month, has apparently met Allah, as the Palestinians he loved and admired have cut his head clean off.
It couldn't have happened to a nicer prick.
BBC, Britain probe reports that kidnapped Gaza journalist killed
LONDON (AFP) - The BBC and Britain's Foreign Office said on Sunday they were urgently investigating reports that kidnapped BBC Gaza correspondent Alan Johnston had been executed by a little-known Islamic group.
Johnston, 44, was snatched at gunpoint on March 12 as he drove home from work in Gaza City, and since then there has been no word on his whereabouts.
In a statement sent to news outlets in Gaza on Sunday, the Kataeb al-Jihad al-Tawheed (The Brigades of Holy War and Unity) group said it had killed the 44-year-old British citizen to send a "message" to the Palestinian authorities.
The claim could not be verified and Palestinian and Western security sources said there was no proof it was true. Up to now, no Westerner has been killed after being abducted in the increasingly lawless territory.
Just wait until the leftist pro-Palestinian nuts deny this story by blaming Israel for Johnston's beheading.

As we have said on here time and time again, the Climate Nazis argue, against all possible evidence, that every problem in the world can be blamed on "global warming." Warm weather? Global warming. Cold weather? Global warming. Hurricanes happen? Global warming. No hurricanes? Global warming. Tornados? Global warming. That's right - before "global warming" there was no bad weather! Yeah...that's the ticket!
This weekend, half of the country is shivering in the midst of one of the worst coldsnaps in April in a long time. And how do the Climate Nazis explain this? Well...it's due to global warming!
Ready for anything
Snow was still in the forecast overnight for the Salina area, though predicted accumulations were dropping during the day Friday.
"We've tweaked it down a little today, to about seven inches of snow" in the Salina area, said Robb Lawson, a forecaster with the National Weather Service in Wichita. "It's trending more in favor of less snow. Right now, it's just a little too warm."
But he was still predicting Salinans would wake up this morning with some snow accumulation, with more to the west and south; Dodge City was getting "thundersnow" Friday afternoon, and areas around Montezuma already had 6 inches on the ground.
Though many districts in western Kansas canceled school on Friday in anticipation of the late-season storm, and rain forced cancellation of outdoor athletic events, several events today were expected to go on.
The annual open house at Kansas State University at Salina, set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will go on as scheduled, said Katie Mayes, coordinator of public relations for the Salina campus.
Depending on weather during the day, some outdoor events might be moved indoors or canceled, she said.
An outdoor rally and march urging action against global warming also will go on as planned.
The rally starts at Caldwell Plaza at 2 p.m., and will include a march to Capers Cafe and Bakery, 109 N. Santa Fe, for a group discussion about global warming and ways to reduce carbon emissions. The event, one of many around the country today, is being sponsored by the Land Institute, 2440 E. Water Well Road.
"The show will go on," said organizer Laura Krinock. "They say the snow is going to stop by morning, and the sidewalks will be cleaned off. If it's really bad, we'll just move it to Caper's."
Besides, Krinock said, "I'd hate to cancel a rally on global warming because of snow."
It is simply incredible that the media doesn't even bother to question these lunatics anymore.

The BBC, perhaps the worst purveyors of anti-Semitic and anti-American drivel, is focusing on the scourge of - guess what? - anti-Americanism! It's bad, says the BBC! It's a fraud, says the BBC! It is based on horsecrap, says the BBC!
The BBC admits it is bad and a fraud and horsecrap! The three ways the BBC presents the news!
'Death to US': Anti-Americanism examined
The US is perceived by many as an international bully, a modern day imperial power. At this critical moment in history, Washington correspondent Justin Webb challenges that idea.
He argues anti-Americanism is often a cover for hatreds with little justification in fact. His three part series takes him to Cairo, Caracas and Washington but it begins where anti-Americanism began - in Paris.
And Paris. Paris? Yes Paris - where it all began.
Anti-Americanism was born in France. And here's a fascinating fact: it was born well before the United States existed. It was not caused by Coca-Cola, or McDonald's, or Hollywood or George W Bush.
The prevailing view among French academics throughout the 18th Century was that the New World was ghastly. It stank, it was too humid for life to prosper. And, as one European biologist put it: "Everything found there is degenerate or monstrous."
In their heart of hearts, many French people still believe that to be true.
A French intellectual once compared the United States with Belgium. Wounding. But you see what he meant: the French capital has a grandeur about it that demands attention on the world stage. Belgium does not, nor does most of America.
And this is not a recent migration brought on by Mr Bush. In May 1944 (just weeks before American GIs landed on the beaches of Normandy), Hubert Beuve-Mery, the founder of Le Monde newspaper - certainly no mouthpiece of the right - wrote this: "The Americans represent a real danger for France, different from the one posed by Germany or the one with which the Russians may - in time - threaten us. The Americans may have preserved a cult of Liberty but they do not feel the need to liberate themselves from the servitude which their capitalism has created.
We have posted hundreds of stories showing the rank bias, vile distortion, and hypocrisy that the BBC uses every day not only to push an anti-American program. That they call such bias "unfounded" is too hilarious for words.

In a shock of shocks, PM Tony Blair has blamed "black culture" for a series of murders in England.
He must be a racist for mouthing the truth, dammit.
Blair blames spate of murders on black culture
Tony Blair yesterday claimed the spate of knife and gun murders in London was not being caused by poverty, but a distinctive black culture. His remarks angered community leaders, who accused him of ignorance and failing to provide support for black-led efforts to tackle the problem.
One accused him of misunderstanding the advice he had been given on the issue at a Downing Street summit.
Black community leaders reacted after Mr Blair said the recent violence should not be treated as part of a general crime wave, but as specific to black youth. He said people had to drop their political correctness and recognise that the violence would not be stopped "by pretending it is not young black kids doing it".
Just imagine if a politician in the United States did something like this. He would be murdered outright. But he would be perfectly correct.

The Climate Nazis, those who believe that global warming is happening and refuse to believe that it is not, are now targeting those who do not - with death threats.
Those lovely leftists. Disagree with them at your peril.
Scientists threatened for 'climate denial'
Scientists who questioned mankind's impact on climate change have received death threats and claim to have been shunned by the scientific community.
They say the debate on global warming has been "hijacked" by a powerful alliance of politicians, scientists and environmentalists who have stifled all questioning about the true environmental impact of carbon dioxide emissions.
Timothy Ball, a former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg in Canada, has received five deaths threats by email since raising concerns about the degree to which man was affecting climate change.
One of the emails warned that, if he continued to speak out, he would not live to see further global warming.
"Western governments have pumped billions of dollars into careers and institutes and they feel threatened," said the professor.
"I can tolerate being called a sceptic because all scientists should be sceptics, but then they started calling us deniers, with all the connotations of the Holocaust. That is an obscenity. It has got really nasty and personal."
Last week, Professor Ball appeared in The Great Global Warming Swindle, a Channel 4 documentary in which several scientists claimed the theory of man-made global warming had become a "religion", forcing alternative explanations to be ignored.
Richard Lindzen, the professor of Atmospheric Science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology - who also appeared on the documentary - recently claimed: "Scientists who dissent from the alarmism have seen their funds disappear, their work derided, and themselves labelled as industry stooges.
"Consequently, lies about climate change gain credence even when they fly in the face of the science."
Dr Myles Allen, from Oxford University, agreed. He said: "The Green movement has hijacked the issue of climate change. It is ludicrous to suggest the only way to deal with the problem is to start micro managing everyone, which is what environmentalists seem to want to do."
That has always been one of the problems with the Left: they want free speech, but only for those who agree with their psychotic ideas.

This week, in April 2006, Downcasters decided that they wish to continue to see the United States lose in Iraq and Afghanistan, and continue to soothe the feelings of their
Monday, April 09, 2007
The Euro-peons, who feel that the phony issue of "global warming" is worse of a threat than Muslims who wish to eliminate the world via nuclear weapons, have announced that their attempts to eliminate so-called "greenhouse gases" to halt "global warming" has in fact had the opposite effect: the amount of "greenhouse gases" have gone up, not down.
More proof that liberalism just does not work. It is as simple as that.
EU’s carbon trading fails to cut emissions
The amount of greenhouse gas pumped into European skies rose by up to 30 million tonnes last year despite the EU’s pledge to lead the world in tackling climate change.
A much-heralded emissions trading scheme, which is being copied by California and is seen as the market solution to reducing harmful gases, failed to achieve the cuts in industrial pollution needed to hit Kyoto targets, figures from the European Commission showed.
The Europe-wide increase in CO2 came in the second year of the scheme to allocate emission permits to companies and power generators. Critics described the EU trading system as “botched central planning” because too many permits were granted, enabling polluters to buy them at knockdown prices and carry on producing the gases that cause climate change.
Figures published yesterday for industrial emissions in 18 of the 27 EU countries, showed that European companies and power generators produced 1.79 billion tonnes of greenhouse gas last year. They came less than a month after the EU vowed to set an example to the world by making at a cuts of at least a 20 per cent in greenhouse gases by 2020.
Now California and other states are implementing this same pap. How long will it be before these do-gooders discover that their plans mean shit? And how long will it be before the media calls them on it?

The BBC is happy to run programs on how the hard-left in England did so much to make that country better when it fact it made it a bigger shithole than it already is. But when it comes to making a documentary about a war hero from the war in Iraq, the Beeb backed off because it was "too positive" and could alienate its supporters who oppose the war.
The Marxists and pro-Terror elements are in full control of the BBC. It is confirmed.
Hero's tale is 'too positive' for the BBC
Amid the deaths and the grim daily struggle bravely borne by Britain's forces in southern Iraq, one tale of heroism stands out.
Private Johnson Beharry's courage in rescuing an ambushed foot patrol then, in a second act, saving his vehicle's crew despite his own terrible injuries earned him a Victoria Cross.
For the BBC, however, his story is "too positive" about the conflict.
The corporation has cancelled the commission for a 90-minute drama about Britain's youngest surviving Victoria Cross hero because it feared it would alienate members of the audience opposed to the war in Iraq.
The BBC's retreat from the project, which had the working title Victoria Cross, has sparked accusations of cowardice and will reignite the debate about the broadcaster's alleged lack of patriotism.
However, you cannot accuse a Leftist of being unpatriotic, because they get angry, despite the fact that they hate their own countries, their own governments, and cheer for their country's enemies and terrorists.
Shameful. Simply shameful.

Senator Ken Salazar, a first term Downercrat from Colorado, is a liberal who sticks with his party most of the time. But he is breaking from the Harry Reid-Chris Dodd-Wuss Feingold wing who want to yank the rug from under the feet of our troops in Iraq. In a letter, Salazar says he will vote for a clean funding bill for the troops.
And this got airplay...where?
Sen. Salazar Splits with Dems on Iraq Troop Funds
Colorado Senator Ken Salazar is breaking with Democratic party leadership, saying Congress should not cut funding for the war in Iraq while U.S troops are still there.
Salazar, who is viewed as one of the more moderate Democrats in the Senate is also criticizing President Bush, saying the president has worsened "the extreme partisan divide" on the Iraq War issue by questioning Democrats' support for the troops.
On Friday, Salazar released the text of a letter he sent Bush and key Senate Democrats, which said -quote- "I do not believe that we can or should cut funding for our troops in Iraq or Afghanistan while we anticipate that our troops will be in harm's way."
Salazar is a first-term Democrat who often stakes out independent positions on major issues.
He says Bush and Congress must find common ground on Iraq so they can also address other key issues.
If the Downercrats lose Salazar, and they have already lost Joe Lieberman, we now have a majority of the US Senate that does not want the defeatist surrender bill passed by both Houses.

What do you get when you take leftist baloney mixed with hysteria over Global Warming, and merge it with a country run by Climate Nazis?
You get the following story, too hilarious to believe...but it is true.
The Euro-peons, in their zest to be stupider than sod, will impose a tax on barbeques, because they cause Global Warming. How will they monitor if people are barbequeing and not paying the tax? With helicopters that spew 10,000 times more pollution than the barbeques themselves.
Belgium to impose tax on barbequing to fight global warming
BRUSSELS, April 3 (RIA Novosti) - The government of Belgium's French-speaking region of Wallonia, which has a population of about 4 million, has approved a tax on barbequing, local media reported.
Experts said that between 50 and 100 grams of CO2, a so-called greenhouse gas, is emitted during barbequing. Beginning June 2007, residents of Wallonia will have to pay 20 euros for a grilling session.
The local authorities plan to monitor compliance with the new tax legislation from helicopters, whose thermal sensors will detect burning grills.
Scientists believe CO2 emissions are a major cause of global warming.
Someone should barbeque the Climate Nazis. This would free the world of these nasty fucks once and for all.

The Downercrats in control of our Congress have finally said it with one voice, and even the media is laughing at them: they have said that they no longer want to fight a "Global War on Terror."
A huge white flag is now the symbol of the party of John F. Kennedy.
No more GWOT, House committee decrees
The House Armed Services Committee is banishing the global war on terror from the 2008 defense budget.
This is not because the war has been won, lost or even called off, but because the committee’s Democratic leadership doesn’t like the phrase.
A memo for the committee staff, circulated March 27, says the 2008 bill and its accompanying explanatory report that will set defense policy should be specific about military operations and “avoid using colloquialisms.”
The “global war on terror,” a phrase first used by President Bush shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the U.S., should not be used, according to the memo. Also banned is the phrase the “long war,” which military officials began using last year as a way of acknowledging that military operations against terrorist states and organizations would not be wrapped up in a few years.
Committee staff members are told in the memo to use specific references to specific operations instead of the Bush administration’s catch phrases. The memo, written by Staff Director Erin Conaton, provides examples of acceptable phrases, such as “the war in Iraq,” the “war in Afghanistan, “operations in the Horn of Africa” or “ongoing military operations throughout the world.”
“There was no political intent in doing this,” said a Democratic aide who asked not to be identified. “We were just trying to avoid catch phrases.”
Imagine if in 1944, the Republican Party said, "Our enemies are not `Nazis." That is not good language. We are fighting something but not Nazis, because we don't like that phrase."
People would laugh. And people should laugh at a party that wants to harm our President and surrender to our enemies.

The media's darling, Osama Barama, Barama Barama, Barama Bananarama, is the subject of a lovely little story that says what we have been saying here all along: that Senator Barack Obama is getting the support he is getting because he is black, and for no other reason. He has no record, he speaks like a moron, and he has not one cogent idea to run this country.
This story says much the same thing, but in a round-about way.
Analysis: Obama yet to address perception he's style over substance
The voices are growing louder asking the question: Is Barack Obama all style and little substance?
The freshman Illinois senator began his campaign facing the perception that he lacks the experience to be president, especially compared to rivals with decades of work on foreign and domestic policy. So far, he's done little to challenge it. He's delivered no policy speeches and provided few details about how he would lead the country.
He has focused instead on motivating his impressive following with a call for unity and change in Washington. But along with the attention comes a hunger to hear more about what he's about.
"The Obama campaign has been smart about recognizing that voters don't want to be lost in the valley of policy only," said Democratic consultant Jenny Backus. "But it's a gap that's going to have to be filled as he goes on."
Obama has a lot of time to fill in the blanks between now and Election Day, and certainly many other candidates are short on details this early in the race. But they don't have such a barrier to prove they are qualified to be president.
At a union forum Tuesday, Obama sought to answer the questions, arguing that he has experience as a state legislator, community organizer and constitutional law professor. He also cited his work in the Senate on nuclear proliferation.
"I am confident in my ability to lead," Obama told the crowd.
The differences among the Democratic candidates were on display Saturday in Las Vegas, where the contenders answered questions about health care.
Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards, the only other candidate to serve less time in elective office than Obama, described in detail his health care plan to provide insurance for all Americans. New York Sen. Hillary Clinton doesn't have a written plan yet, but no one questions her expertise, since she was the chief proponent of the issue during her husband's presidency.
Daniel Romo, 45, a clerk at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles and a member of the Service Employees International Union that sponsored the forum, left with Clinton and Edwards as his top choices. Obama did not impress him.
"I believe that he needed to know a little more about health care issues and he was just unprepared," Romo said.
The reporter got one thing wrong: Johnny Downwards served one 6-year term in the US Senate, while Obama has just 2+ years under his belt.
Notice that he was "unprepared." And this man wants to be President in a time of war, a time of growing crisis over nuclear and other weapons? Who is he kidding?

Hillary Clinton is in serious trouble, whether she knows it or not. As we have predicted here time and time again, she will win the Downcaster nomination, but a new poll shows that 50% of the American people will "never" vote for her.
That means that she will have to get every other vote just to stay even. And she is not getting every other vote.
Fifty Percent of U.S. Adults Would Not Vote for Hillary Clinton as the Democratic Candidate for President
Senator Hillary Clinton is still the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States according to recent polls, even as Senator Barack Obama gains ground on her in the race. However, according to a new Harris Poll, half of U.S. adults say they would not vote for Senator Clinton if she was the Democratic candidate, while only 36 percent say they would, with 11 percent unsure. Her own party is not unanimously behind her either, as 21 percent of Democrats say they would not vote for her. In the all-important contest for Independents, 48 percent say they would not vote for Senator Clinton, while 37 percent say they would.
Gender also plays an important role. While one would expect that women would be more likely than men to lean towards Senator Clinton, this is not the case as 38 percent of women and 34 percent of men both say they would vote for her. Even among women there is a divide as four in 10 (41%) single women say they would vote for Senator Clinton, compared to 36 percent of married women. Over half of both men (56%) and married women (52%) say they would not vote for her for president.
So, our latest prediction is this: Hillary Clinton gets about 43-45% in the general election. Whoever the Republican candidate is will get about 54-56%, and if so will be the next President and have a Republican Congress and Senate to boot.
Check back in November 2008 to see how right we are now.

The People's Republic of Vermont, which elected a Socialist, Bernard Sanders, to the US Senate, is threatening to secede from the Union because the rest of the country refuses to go along quickly enough with its socialist program.
This is great news. If Vermont left right now, we could be rid of Sanders and the other moron in the US Senate from the state, Patrick "I am a Weasel" Leahy.
The Once and Future Republic of Vermont
The winds of secession are blowing in the Green Mountain State.
Vermont was once an independent republic, and it can be one again. We think the time to make that happen is now. Over the past 50 years, the U.S. government has grown too big, too corrupt and too aggressive toward the world, toward its own citizens and toward local democratic institutions. It has abandoned the democratic vision of its founders and eroded Americans' fundamental freedoms.
Vermont did not join the Union to become part of an empire.
Some of us therefore seek permission to leave.
Here is our response:
You want to leave? Go. Go now. And good riddance.
Your socialist bullshit is weighing down this country. You have two assholes representing you in the US Senate and they should be expelled.
Your state finds protection for child molesters and gay marriage. We have two words as evidence why you are unstable as a people: Howard Dean.
We want you to leave so you can stop fucking things up for the rest of us who love this country.
Maybe Canada can take you. They love socialism. You will feel right at home.
Secede now, and don't ask us ever to return.
