Air America Dies in New York
We covered in early March the hilarious but tragically funny tale of Air America's imminent demise in New York City, of all places. At that time, the date of March 31 seemed to be set in concrete. Of course, the slovenly scumsuckers at Air America got an extension to August 31. It has been announced, however, that that date is the final one - and Air America will go silent in one of the capitals of liberalism.

Of course they will not go "silent." They will just be off the air, which is basically the same thing - unless you are a liberal, in which case it could mean a whole host of things not based in reality. We have demonstrated on this site, time and time again, how liberals saying one thing means another, or the complete opposite.
Maybe Al Franken and his sickly band of Marxist assholes can sit in a phone booth and yell their heads off. They will probably get higher ratings there than they currently get.

Air America to Lose NY Flagship
Air America Radio will lose its New York flagship station, WLIB-AM, on Aug. 31. While the left-leaning radio network’s original lease for the Inner City station ran out March 31, AAR managed to get an extension which only lasts until Aug. 31, according to an informed source.
Through an agreement with ICBC, WLIB will be operated as a joint venture and programmed by P1, a company run by former Clear Channel and Jacor Communications executive Randy Michaels. Michaels is expected to program a progressive-talk format, but replace AAR’s network programming with more local programming. A likely addition to the new lineup: Ed Schultz, the left-of-center talker syndicated by P1.
“To be clear, Air America will not go silent on the New York City airwaves. We do not, however, comment on hypothetical speculation,” said an AAR spokesperson.
