Hailing Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma: Fighter Against the "Global Warming" Charade

Senator James Inhofe, Republican of Oklahoma, is the lone voice in calling the entire "global warming" story a myth of the anti-capitalist and pro-Marxist radical left - and CNN did a hatchet job on him this past week to make him look foolish. Of course they failed, and, in the following opinion piece from Investor's Business Daily, Inhofe's stand is congratulated:

Cooling Down The Climate Scare

The country is drowning in wild alarums warning of impending doom due to global warming. Yet there has risen -- from the U.S. Senate, of all places -- a lone voice of rational dissent.

While Al Gore drifts into deeper darkness on the other side of the moon, propelled by such revelations as cigarette smoking is a "significant contributor to global warming," Sen. James Inhofe is becoming a one-man myth-wrecking crew.

Inhofe, a Republican from Oklahoma, took to the Senate floor two days last week to expose the media's role in the global warming hype. This is a man who more than three years ago called the global warming scare "the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people" and has made a habit of tweaking the left-leaning environmental lobby.

One member of the media, Miles O'Brien of CNN, responded last week to Inhofe's criticism of the media with a piece criticizing Inhofe and challenging his arguments. If anything, it seems that O'Brien's reply simply motivated Inhofe to continue his effort to undress the media's complicity and bring light to the issue.

We hope so. The "science" on global warming and the media's propaganda campaign need to be picked apart.

The assumptions made by gloomy theorists should be revealed for what they are: mere conjecture.

The lies and carefully crafted implications, many of them discharged like toxic pollutants by a former vice president, deserve a thorough and lasting deconstruction.

What the public needs -- and deserves -- is a credible voice to counter the sermons from Gore, on whose behalf cigarettes were distributed in 2000 to Milwaukee homeless people who were recruited by campaign volunteers to cast absentee ballots. Inhofe could be that voice.

He's no John the Baptist crying out in the wilderness. What he is, in fact, is a thrice-elected senator, a former member of the House and, before that, a state senator and representative.

For those not impressed by a political background -- after all, Gore, far out of proportion to his qualifications, rose to the second most powerful position on Earth -- consider that Inhofe is an Army veteran and longtime pilot, and has actually worked in the private sector.

Unlike most in the Senate, Inhofe is willing to stand on a soapbox and expose his head to his opponents' rhetorical stones. Name another in that august body who would dare label as a hoax the premise that undergirds the day's most trendy pop cult. Is there anyone there who would want to try to stand up to the likes of O'Brien?

O'Brien's biased report is not exactly the type of exposure global warming skeptics hope for, though. The goal, say the skeptics, should be to teach and inform, to provide an alternative to the flood of hyperbole and intentionally misleading thunder that's passed off as settled science.

There are enough scientists to fill a fleet of Humvees who can express scepticism over global warming, despite Gore's claims that the matter has been resolved in favor of his conclusions. But none has the forum a U.S. senator can command. With rare exceptions, scientists can marshal media attention on the climate change issue only by spouting the party line that man-made emissions are causing Earth to warm. That's the sort of stuff the press laps up like a starving dog.

Without the wind of a compliant media at his back, Inhofe nevertheless got his message out to America, primarily through C-Span and the Drudge Report, which linked to his speeches at the Web site of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.

Among those responding to Inhofe's first speech included a scientist and a meteorologist. Both hold views on global warming that are in line with the senator's -- which puts them at odds with the environmental lobby's assertions of "consensus" that have been relentlessly beaten into the masses for more than a decade.

The most important audience, though, is among the Americans who have no links to science. They're the ones who have a lot to learn and will benefit the most from someone who has mass access to the public and is willing to challenge the widely -- and often uncritically -- accepted claims about climate change.

Clear, concise, and correct. And we here at Joobo cheer Senator Inhofe on. May his voice be heard above the din of the radical Left, so the myth of "global warming" can be put to rest once and for all.

Zawahiri Makes New Videotape

Woman Cured of "Fear of Vegetables"

We thought this was a joke, or a parody - but it is apparently a true story.

But we couldn't pass it up not posting it here.

Woman finally cures her 40-year fear of vegetables

A woman who claims to have been terrified of vegetables for more than 40 years declared herself on the way to being cured yesterday.

Krissie Palmer-Howarth, 61, a cabaret singer from Newhaven, East Sussex, has not been able to handle vegetables or even say their names since developing her phobia at the age of 17. Just their smell made her feel sick.

Now, after a session of hypnotherapy, Miss Palmer-Howarth says that she can stand to be close to vegetables, even broccoli, which she detests most of all, though she is not yet at the stage where she can handle them.

In the US, "fear of vegetables syndrome" happens when someone does not want to be associated with liberals.

Hillary Clinton Caught in Another Lie Once Again

Hillary Clinton (D-Fruitpie) wants to run for President. She thinks she can win. Unfortunately for her - and, fortunately for America - she has less of a chance of winning than Abraham Lincoln coming back to life and asking how the play ended. If she does run, she will get her hilarious party's nomination, and then win anywhere from 5 to 10 states, 10 occurring if the Republicans nominate David Duke as their nominee.

In the hullabaloo over the lies and anger of Bill Clinton's appearance on Fox News Sunday, Hillary Clinton went to the press and made the following assertion:

Sen. Clinton hits back at Rice over 9/11

"I think my husband did a great job in demonstrating that Democrats are not going to take these attacks," Hillary Clinton said Tuesday. "I'm certain that if my husband and his national security team had been shown a classified report entitled 'Bin Laden Determined To Attack Inside the United States' he would have taken it more seriously than history suggests it was taken by our current president and his national security team."

She's certain her lying, rapist husband would have done something, right? She's just certain!

Unfortunately for Dame Bullshitartist, that exact scenario happened: in December 1998, Clinton got a briefing titled - get ready for this one - Bin Ladin [sic] Preparing to Hijack US Aircraft and Other Attacks.

Read on with us, dear readers, as Hillary Clinton is exposed as a moron and liar at the same time.

RESPONSES TO AL QAEDA'S INITIAL ASSAULTS

SUBJECT: Bin Ladin Preparing to Hijack US Aircraft and Other Attacks

1. Reporting [-] suggests Bin Ladin and his allies are preparing for attacks in the US, including an aircraft hijacking to obtain the release of Shaykh 'Umar 'Abd al-Rahman, Ramzi Yousef, and Muhammad Sadiq 'Awda. One source quoted a senior member of the Gama'at al-Islamiyya (IG) saying that, as of late October, the IG had completed planning for an operation in the US on behalf of Bin Ladin, but that the operation was on hold.A senior Bin Ladin operative from Saudi Arabia was to visit IG counterparts in the US soon thereafter to discuss options-perhaps including an aircraft hijacking.

IG leader Islambuli in late September was planning to hijack a US airliner during the "next couple of weeks" to free 'Abd al-Rahman and the other prisoners, according to what may be a different source.
The same source late last month said that Bin Ladin might implement plans to hijack US aircraft before the beginning of Ramadan on 20 December and that two members of the operational team had evaded security checks during a recent trial run at an unidentified New York airport. [-]
2. Some members of the Bin Ladin network have received hijack training, according to various sources, but no group directly tied to Bin Ladin's al-Qa'ida organization has ever carried out an aircraft hijacking.Bin Ladin could be weighing other types of operations against US aircraft.Accord-ing to [-] the IG in October obtained SA-7 missiles and intended to move them from Yemen into Saudi Arabia to shoot down an Egyptian plane or, if unsuccessful, a US military or civilian aircraft.

Now, what media outlet told you about this? None, because it could make Hillary Clinton look bad, and her husband made out to be the lying sack of shit who did nothing to stop bin Laden.

Charles Rangel "Guarantees" a Tax Increase if Downies Win Control of Congress

That liberals lie and obfuscate and don't let on what they want to do is not surprising, given that the Downtrodden party has become a shell of what it once was. The Downies this year have run on "cut and run" from Iraq, impeach George W. Bush, and, now, straight from the lips of Charles Rangel, the guarantee that Downies will vote to raise your taxes if somehow they manage to steal control of Congress.

Hold onto your wallets and purses, fellow Americans - here come the bloodsucking liberals again.

Rangel: Tax Increases on the Table if Democrats Win; Possible Tax Increases on the Horizon

WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Congress Daily reported today that the Democratic Party's ranking member on the House Ways and Means Committee, Rep. Rangel (D) of New York, all but guaranteed tax increases in the Democratic agenda if they take back the house in November. When approached about whether tax increases across the income spectrum would be considered, Rep. Rangel responded, "No question about it."

Well, there you have it, folks. Vote Downie, and you will pay for it in spades.

There's a Civil War Going On...in Brazil!

According to the losers and whores in the American media, when people in a country murder others in that country by the thousands, and the government cannot bring some sense of security to the people, there must be a civil war going on. When they mention "civil war," they use it to describe Iraq, even though they have been telling us for 2 years that there is a civil war "coming."

Well, if Iraq is in a civil war, then Brazil is a nuclear meltdown - because they have a higher murder rate than Iraq ever has had.

Of course, the media won't tell you any of that. It makes their goal of making Iraq look bad a bit harder to pull off.

Brazil murder rate similar to war zone, data shows

BRASILIA, Brazil (Reuters) - More than 150 Brazilians were murdered each day last year on average, putting Brazil on a par with some war zones in terms of its homicide rate, the Justice Ministry said on Monday.

Some 55,000 Brazilians died of homicide in 2005 - a few thousand more civilians than in three years of war in Iraq, according to leading estimates.

Brazil, a continent-sized nation of 185 million people starkly divided into rich and poor, has had notoriously high crime rates for years. Millions of poor live in urban slums and unpoliced rural areas where guns are easy to come by.

Though the murder rate is high, Marcelo Durante, coordinator of the Justice Ministry's report, said homicides have fallen slowly in recent years thanks in part to an initiative to collect guns from the streets.

Remember that Brazil is run by a Socialist who is close to Venezuelan nutjob Boss Hugo Chavez.

We guess that socialist pap doesn't work in "civil war zones."

NYT: Al Qaeda "Operative" Killed in Iraq

What is wrong with liberals? Why do they use Orwellian terms to describe things? Perhaps it is because they wish to have a world where liberals invent the language for everyone and force everyone to use it whether they like it or not.

Example: an al Qaeda terrorist escaped from a prison in Afghanistan, and wound up...guess where?...in Iraq!

But, The NY Times does not call this scumbag a terrorist - of course not! He is an "operative" and a "senior al Qaeda figure."

The Left does not want you to know that Muslims who plan mass murder are terrorists. It could hurt their feelings referring to them by that word.

British Troops in Iraq Kill Senior Qaeda Figure

BAGHDAD, Sept. 25 — A senior Al Qaeda operative who engineered a brazen escape from a high security American prison in Afghanistan last year was killed in a predawn raid by British soldiers in a quiet, wealthy neighborhood in southern Iraq on Monday, officials said.

Two companies of about 250 soldiers wearing night goggles and carrying night-vision rifles stormed a house in the neighborhood of al-Tuninnah in Basra, intending to capture the operative. The spokesman for the British military in Iraq, Maj. Charles Burbridge, identified the operative as Omar al-Faruq. But they were fired upon as they entered and shot back, killing Mr. Faruq.

Oh my God! They have killed "Mr. Faruq"!

The NY Times: A paper that smells so bad even fish don't want to be wrapped up in it.

North Korea Hands Out "Gifts to Be Remembered for Ages"

If you want some real fun and/or entertainment, check out the "news" from the North Korean News Agency - it contains articles ranging from dopey and hilarious to sickening and delusional. Did you know that American soldiers routinely murder South Korean citizens, and that South Korea desperately wants American troops to withdraw so that the North and South could re-unite? No? Of course you haven't - because only the North Koreans report such baloney.

Here is a story along those lines: some North Korean athletes won some medals at a competition that no other country sent representatives to, and when awarded their medals by the fools, er, leaders, of North Korea, they were told that along with the medals came gifts that, to quote these morons, er, leaders, exactly, "which they would hand down through generations."

Wow! What kind of gifts could someone get that would be handed down through generations?

Here they are: "deluxe cars and buses and flats."

Wow! That's incredible!

State Commendations and Gifts Awarded to FIFA U-20 Championship Winners

A ceremony of awarding state commendations and gifts to young women footballers, coaches and officers concerned who came first in the third FIFA U-20 Women's World Championship was held at the April 25 House of Culture Monday. Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, in his address said that Kim Jong Il bestowed high honor upon young women footballers and presented them with such gifts which they would hand down through generations as deluxe cars and buses and flats.

But two of these lackeys were singled out for "additional gifts":

Choe Kwang Sok and Hong Myong Gum, heroes of labor and people's sportspersons, and other speakers noted that they were deeply touched by the profound benevolence of Kim Jong Il who highly estimated their success as a great patriotic deed.

My God! Kim Jong-Illness was "touched" by their "great patriotic deed."

Now for some real gifts! Go back to your sad place of living, dimwits, and eat some dirt and twigs for dinner! That's what dear old Kim Jong-Fruitcake has done for you!

British Police to "Brief" Muslims Before Anti-Terror Raids

Imagine for a moment that an ethnic group, particularly one whose members were involved in crime and/or terrorism, demanded to be "briefed" by police before raids of their communities. Police would laugh at the suggestion - and tell those advocating such a thing to drop dead.

The British police, however, didn't laugh - they agreed to do such a thing.

Imagine this: the police in England will "brief" Muslim leaders that their communities are being searched for terror suspects.

Only in PC Land could such a thing happen.

Police to brief Muslims before terror raids

POLICE have agreed to consult a panel of Muslim leaders before mounting counter-terrorist raids or arrests. Members of the panel will offer their assessment of whether information police have on a suspect is too flimsy and will also consider the consequences on community relations of a raid.

Members will be security vetted and will have to promise not to reveal any intelligence they are shown. They will not have to sign the Official Secrets Act.

The first panel, expected to consist of four people, will be set up initially in London. Tomorrow representatives from police forces across England and Wales will decide whether to make the scheme national.

Muslim groups have welcomed the move, which is understood to be backed by Sir Ian Blair, the Metropolitan police commissioner.

This week the Association of Chief Police Officers will discuss with MI5 and the Home Office whether to reveal to the panel intelligence information from the security service.

The idea came from the Metropolitan police and the Muslim Safety Forum (MSF), which works for better police-Muslim relations. It has been under discussion for two years and came to the top of the agenda after a police raid in Forest Gate, London, in June, in which a man was shot. Police were acting on a tip-off about a bomb. None was found.

Azad Ali, chairman of the MSF, said: “The major concern that came to us from Muslims was that the intelligence was flawed — the raid was on assumption and nothing else. This will allow independent scrutiny of intelligence.”

Imagine that police are now consulting the members of a community whose members act in secret to commit thousands of murders. Secrecy is a key point - what happens if these members of the "Muslim Safety Council" (probably the "Let's Blow Shit Up With Our Bodies" Council) let on that a raid is coming?

What will happen? Nothing, that's what. And suspected terrorists will be tipped off by the same nuts who have shielded them in the past.

If anyone in the US ever brings this idea up, can that person be shot?

DUmmies Underground: The Left is Going to Lose Again, and They Are Sick About It

You can always tell how well an election is going by seeing how each side's partisans react to events on the ground. High gas prices? Casualties in Iraq? The Republicans see bad numbers and fear for the future. Low gas prices? A focus on terrorism and why George W. Bush is protecting this country and Downies are not? The left goes into a tailspin.

Well, the tailspin may have begun, because the incredibly sickening imbeciles at DUmmies Underground, one of the most vicious and disgusting leftwing sites on the internet, are starting to say that things have gone from bad to worse for the Left, and these whackjobs are sick from it.

I can feel my hope slipping away....again.

As we get close to the Mid-terms, Bush-loving oil companies drop gas prices and Democrats sitting on sidelines and letting the Pukes reach a deal on torture. I don't think we are going to win by default.

Regarding rushing to defend Bush from Chavez, don't Rangel and Pelosi know how stupid this makes them look? If the shoe was on the other foot and Chavez insulted a Democratic president, think the Pukes would defend us? All this does is help Bush.

Really sorry to be a downer, but I'm not looking forward to November anymore. This regime is ethically bankrupt and I fear that too many Americans are perfectly comfortable with it.

Aw...darn darn darn darn darn! Damn the whole world - the Left is mad that Boss Hugo made a fool of himself and now the country is moving Bush's way! Shit! Crap! Fucko!

Now, check out some of the responses to this dim bulb:

I'm afraid I agree with you...I'm trying to fight my cynicism and despair, but now that more than one poll shows this idiot's "approval rating" rising, I'm really worried that there isn't enough of a tide to prevent another stolen election. And today especially, as we're on the verge of officially blessing what I'm afraid still counts as "torture" to the rest of the world, I'm saddened for what used to be my country.

Rangel and Pelosi's behavior today adds credence to the suggestion that The Performance has already been written ... and only needs to be played out ... and all The Players know their roles by heart. I can't help but start to believe that The Representatives, either side, don't truly give a damn about The People.

I'm disgusted beyond words.

I Agree. There's this big, stupid lump in America that watches Faux news, laps up the slogan of the day, and calls it a day. Until we can figure out how to get these collective heads out of these collective asses, it's going to be all uphill. Sorry if this sounds awfully cynical. The fact that W's numbers may have gone up is just so disturbing. What else can explain it, but outright ignorance.

So, the left is sick about losing another election. What is their strategy to win? Is it more programs, more tax cuts, a positive approach to something?

Of course not. It is censorship.

Yep, that oughta work.

If we win, one of the first things we have to do is get FAUX off the air. They are nothing but Chimp's propaganda arm and do not deserve to be on the public airways.

The American Left: Preserving the rights of terrorists and advocating the censorship of views they do not like since 2001.

A True Friend of Freedom: Australian PM John Howard

No country, and no leader, has stood by America since 9/11 more than Australia and their leader, Prime Minister John Howard.

In an interview on Australian radio, he lets on just what a strong and patriotic leader he is.

Tony Jones speaks with Prime Minister John Howard

TONY JONES: Now, PM, let's move on to other issues: As you'd be well aware, the Pope has provoked anger in the Muslim world after quoting a 14th century emperor who accused the Prophet Mohammed of inspiring evil and inhuman human ideas and spreading his word by the sword. Now Australia's leading Catholic has called, again, for an examination of whether the Koran, and what the Koran, in fact, has written about violence.

JOHN HOWARD: Yes.

TONY JONES: Do you think Cardinal Pell has a point in focussing on what the Koran has written about violence?

JOHN HOWARD: Well I think the cardinal has a point in making the point that it's a strange form of restraint to respond to words you disagree with, with demonstrations and threats of violence. The Islamic community is perfectly entitled to criticise the Pope and the Pope is perfectly entitled, and other religious leaders are perfectly entitled, to express their views about other religions. But we're all meant to believe in peace and we're all meant to adhere to peaceful religions and I just think it's very strange and disappointing that whenever the Pope says something that people, or on this particular occasion, let's stick to this, he has said something that people don't agree with and that provokes demonstrations. Now, we are all meant to be bound by a belief in free speech and free expression, and my, I suppose, exasperation would be that of many of the people in Australia, that, okay, they may not like what His Holiness said and whether he should have said it or not is, in a sense, beside the point, but we are meant to believe in free speech and we are meant to not overreact. I think it's very important with these things that people don't overreact. I'm sure the great bulk of Catholics around the world want good relations with Islam, and the Catholic Church, itself, cops a fair amount of abuse on a daily basis. If Catholics rioted every time people attacked the Catholic Church, you'd have riots on a very regular basis.

TONY JONES: Let's look at what Cardinal Pell is saying because he's talking to Muslims here in Australia about examining, or re examining what the Koran says about violence. Have you read the Koran? Or at least have you read the sections of it that Cardinal Pell seems particularly to be focusing on, the war verses?

JOHN HOWARD: I don't know whether I have specifically read the bits that Cardinal Pell is referring to, but, Tony, I'm not going to get into an adjudication of a statement made by Cardinal Pell, I mean it's not my role. He's entitled to make statements, and whatever statements he makes he will justify and defend. But from a public policy point of view, as the PM of a country that obviously is greatly influenced by the Judaea Christian ethic, but nonetheless respects other religion, and indeed the people who have no religious belief at all, I think we should all take a deep breath on these things and all have a sense of proportion. We seem to be living in a world where people have no sense of proportion. Okay, they don't like what was said, I'm sure that the Pope was not intending to attack Islam. He has expressed his regrets and I think we should really move on, to use that rather hackneyed phrase of the modern world.

TONY JONES: Do you mean Cardinal Pell as well when you ask people to move on? Because asked if there are links between religion and violence at the heart of Islam, Cardinal Pell said he would, "... welcome clarification from our Islamic friends on that point." It's dangerous territory, isn't it?

JOHN HOWARD: I think what the cardinal was doing was defending the head of his church, and so he should. I'd defend the head of the church if I were in Cardinal Pell's position; I'm not. But as an observer and knowing Cardinal Pell, who is a great believer in religious tolerance and religious understanding in the Australian community, I'm sure he wasn't intending other than to defend His Holiness, and that's very understandable.

TONY JONES: Can you ask open questions like this about the violent past of Islam without, in the same breath, acknowledging the violent past of the Christian Church, for example?

JOHN HOWARD: I think I've heard him say that the Christian Church has been guilty of transgression. I mean all religions, well let me put it this way: People have committed evil in the name of all of the world's great religions. At the moment, however, the problem is that a common thread in terrorism around the world gives the indication of Islam as a sanction, or a blessing, on acts of terrorism, and that is the common thread. I don't, at the moment, note terrorist groups killing people and invoking the authority of the Catholic Church, or indeed the Christian Church, of which the Catholic Church is clearly a dominant part, as some kind of authority. I mean that's the difference. Sure, people have done evil things. The Third Reich was inaugurated, as I remember years and years ago, in a church building. I mean, all sorts of evil things have been done under the cover of religion. But the problem we have at the moment is that the common thread of all of these terrorist attacks is that the terrorists claim the authority of Allah. Now that's a blasphemy on Islam. It's because they do blaspheme Islam that many of us, myself included, like to see moderate leaders attacking terrorism. I'm very pleased at the response of many of the Islamic leaders in the past little while in Australia on that very issue. They know that terrorism is no part of Islam, they know that the beliefs of Islam are incompatible with murder and terrorism and hatred. The commonality between all of the world's great religions is enormous.

TONY JONES: Let's talk about the common thread you were talking about earlier, because I'm wondering if it's reflected in your reasons for talking about an Australian values test. You say it's got nothing at all to do with Islam, but it was never even mooted before the threat of Islamic fundamentalism, was it?

JOHN HOWARD: Tony, I have been talking about the need for a common adherence to a set of Australian values for years. Now, come on, Tony, you can go back, you've got plenty of archival footage here, and I've been talking about the need to avoid zealous multiculturalism, I've been talking about the need for there to be an overriding commitment to Australian values for years and years and years. Don't anybody try and put it to me that I've only started to talk about these things since terrorism became an issue.

TONY JONES: This is what's given it the momentum to actually become a major issue, isn't it?

JOHN HOWARD: It may be in the minds of some commentators and even interviewers. But that's drawing a very, very long bow, to say that I've only been on about Australian values and the common bonds that unite us as Australians.

TONY JONES: I don't think anyone is saying that. What people are saying is that the Australian values test seems to be linked to this fear of Islamic fundamentalism. That seems to be pretty clear.

JOHN HOWARD: I think that's a link that some people might seek to draw, but it's much broader than that.

As they say, read the whole thing. Much of the interview is not on terrorism - mostly on Australian political issues - but nonetheless you can see why John Howard is one of the great leaders in the world today.

"Calypso Louie" Farrakhan is "Seriously Ill"; Satan Awaits His Arrival in Hell

Louis Farrakhan, the racist and anti-Semitic head of the Nation of Islam, told supporters Friday that he is "seriously ill" with cancer, and is preparing to die.

Good riddance. The sooner he is gone the better off the human race will be.

Nation of Islam Leader Farrakhan Says He Is Ill

Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan said in a letter to followers that he is seriously ill, and he asked movement leaders to carry on in his absence to make sure the Nation of Islam "will live long after I and we have gone."

Farrakhan, 73, said he began suffering pain this year similar to 1998, when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and underwent surgery.

Since March, he has dropped more than 20 pounds while battling "serious infection and inflammation," Farrakhan said in a letter published in the Nation of Islam's the Final Call newspaper in Chicago.

We as human beings are not supposed to revel in someone's suffering before they die. But when someone is as bitterly racist and anti-Semitic as Farrakhan is, he does not deserve any semblance of compassion.

Joobo's Imbecile of the Week...and Perhaps the Year!

Those of you who read the postings here know how much we hate liberals. However, when Republicans and/or conservatives do dumb things, we highlight them as well.

Well, we have found a Republican who sued President Bush to - get this one - stop the wars in Iran and Syria.

Wait, you say. THERE ARE NO WARS IN IRAN AND SYRIA!

Ah, perhaps - but this nut, who admits she has been "abroad for 25 years" (probably at some German mental asylum), is suing to stop the wars she says are going on now.

Yep. Loony. Crazy. Whackjob.

Restraining order against Bush denied

CONCORD – A federal judge on Wednesday denied a former Republican congressional candidate’s request for a restraining order barring President Bush or Vice President Richard Cheney from bombing Iran or Syria.

Mary Maxwell, 59, of 179 Loudon Road, Apt. 10, Concord, filed a lawsuit Monday against Bush, Cheney and other “unnamed defendants actively engaging in acts of war against Iran and Syria in the guise of the war against terrorism.”

Maxwell’s suit seeks a ruling that the administration lacks legal authority to pre-emptively attack either Iran or Syria without a Congressional declaration of war, and that radioactive fallout from the use of nuclear weapons in any such attack would endanger people around the world, including herself.

[...]

While the Bush administration has yet to respond to Maxwell’s suit, U.S. District Court Judge Paul Barbadoro on Wednesday denied her request for an emergency temporary restraining order barring the administration from attacking Iran or Syria.

“The Motion for Temporary Restraining Order asserts only conclusory arguments. It does not satisfy the plaintiff’s duty to demonstrate likelihood of success. Nor does it demonstrate that temporary relief is required to avoid the harm she seeks to prevent,” Barbadoro wrote.

Maxwell plans to appeal Barbadoro’s ruling, she said Wednesday, and she vowed to appeal her suit to the U.S. Supreme Court if she isn’t successful in the lower courts.

The nut lives in an apartment, yet she has time to sue the President to stop wars which have not started.

And this is a Republican loon.

Now, check out her lawsuit (PDF file) - it makes for some really hilarious reading:

Mary Maxwell v. George W. Bush, President of the United States

4. Plaintiff seeks declaratory and injunctive relief, enjoining the President to refrain from attacking Iran or Syria absent a Congressional vote, and enjoining the Legislature to consider, and hold public hearings on, the doctrine of pre-emptive strike and the policy of allowing the use of tactical nuclear weapons. Plaintiff claims that her life and health are presently end angered by government' s unaccountability and apparent recklessnes.

[...]

7. Plaintiff Mary Maxwell, Ph.D. (Politics), 59, widow, lives at 179 Loudon Road, Concord, New Hampshire. She is a political scientist and a law student. [And fruitcake. - Ed.]

[...]

11 . On October 19, 2005, at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on Iraq,
Rhode Island Senator Lincoln Chaffee asked witness Condoleezza, Secretary of State

Yep, that "witness Condoleezza" had a lot to say.

No wonder this woman was laughed out of court. She doesn't even know the name of our Secretary of State.

BBC "Poll" Shows "Only Diplomacy" Should be Used in Iranian Crisis

The BBC took a poll in 25 countries, and found that 39% of the morons, er, people, who responded said that "only diplomacy" should be used when it comes to settling the Iranian nuclear crisis. 11% said military strikes could be used.

Could someone report when "world opinion" ever settled an international crisis before? And why is it being done now?

World poll favours Iran diplomacy

World opinion opposes aggressive steps as a way of stopping a possible Iranian nuclear arms programme, according to a 25-nation poll for BBC World Service.

But only 17% of those polled believed Iranian assurances that research it is carrying out is just for energy needs.

The most popular course of action, with 39% support, was to use only diplomatic efforts; 11% favoured military strikes.

Last month, Iran failed to abide by a UN deadline to halt uranium enrichment which could lead to sanctions.

An average of 30% of respondents favoured economic sanctions if Iran continued to produce nuclear fuel.

Here is something never before done - so, let us "harken back to yesteryear" and see how this imbecilic idea could have been used in prior crises:

BBC Poll Shows "Only Diplomacy" Used to Reverse Hitler's Invasion of Poland

A BBC poll of 25 nations says that 39% of people want the German invasion of Poland crisis to be settled "by diplomacy alone."

The poll, done for the BBC World Service, says that most people do not want to see any military action to reverse the German invasion. 11% want military strikes.

The poll also found that 30% do not think that Germany will harm any of the Jews it has sent to concentration camps in European nations.

BBC Director Harold Boondoggle says, "This shows that the people of the world wants "hands off" the Germans. We can use diplomacy to end the Polish crisis. We do not need war to stop Hitler. He is a reasonable man, and can be reasoned with - through diplomacy only."

E-Mails Prove It: The BBC's "News" is "Littered With Errors"

Anyone with an IQ higher than 5 can see that the BBC's reports are riddled with anti-American, anti-George W. Bush, and anti-Semitic slander of the worst kind. But new e-mails sent from the BBC's watchdog to The Telegraph of London proves something else: that the stories on the BBC are "littered with errors."

Call us shocked. Not.

BBC reports 'littered with errors'

A significant number of BBC news reports are untrustworthy and littered with errors because the corporation's journalists fail to check their facts, according to e-mails sent by one of the BBC's most senior news managers. His messages reveal that the credibility of the news service is "on the line" because of a climate of sloppiness.

The internal memos, which have been obtained by The Telegraph, highlight concerns about the standard of journalism on local BBC television and radio, as well as on the BBC's flagship News Online service. They suggest that the corporation is struggling to keep its promise to improve the standards of its news services following damning criticisms levelled against it by the Hutton inquiry into the death of Dr David Kelly.

The BBC was criticised by Lord Hutton after it emerged that Andrew Gilligan, the Radio 4 Today programme journalist - whose flawed story about the background to the Government's claims on Iraq's weapons of mass destruction was at the centre of the inquiry - had filed his report without it being checked by station managers.

The leaked e-mails sent by Hugh Berlyn, an assistant editor of BBC News Online, show that despite the furore surrounding the Gilligan report, dozens of "unvetted" stories appear on the internet every day. The result is a string of stories that are, at best, littered with errors and, at worst, inaccurate and potentially libellous.

In an e-mail last October, Mr Berlyn said journalists were not showing their reports to managers, who are supposed to check them in accordance with BBC rules. He wrote: "Yesterday we carried out a study of how many of your stories were being properly checked by a second pair of eyes before publication. To my surprise and concern, more than 60 stories around the country were apparently published without being second-checked."

Another e-mail, sent in February, said that the number of "justified complaints" about the lack of accuracy in spelling, names, grammar or simple detail was growing. Mr Berlyn told staff that he received dozens of complaints a day. "I really think the level of complaints is such that our credibility is on the line and that cannot be allowed to continue."

Oh - but wait! The BBC is "fixing" all this!

A BBC spokesman insisted last night that it had confidence in its journalists. "Since these e-mails were written, tighter procedures for checking copy have been put in place." The BBC has committed itself to implementing measures recommended by Ron Neil, the former head of news. Mr Neil, who was asked to investigate news services following the Hutton Inquiry, has recommended the establishment of a journalism college and expansion of local news services.

So, the "errors" have been fixed, have they?

The BBC has just gone back to being a disgusting anti-American and anti-Semitic organization instead of a disgusting anti-American and anti-Semitic organization which tells wholesale lies.

How quaint!

Time Magazine: Is Bush Beating His Enemies Once Again?

The American media likes to make everyone think that President Bush is stupid, cannot read or speak, yet somehow is able to make his political enemies look foolish and stupid. In mid 2004, the media had Bush defeated for a second term, yet he came back to win - convincingly, we might add - in November. In 2002 and 2004, despite history being against him, Bush won seats in the US Congress.

This year is no different: the media likes to talk about his "plummeting poll numbers" and that they had the Downies installed as the majority party in April, May, and June. The media likes to have the election results months before the actual election.

So, as we move towards the end of September, and those terrible poll numbers for President Bush and the Republicans that the media has been trumpeting for months move in the GOP's direction and against the Downies, the media looks for reasons; after all, how could Bush win again? How could this be happening?

Time Magazine asks this question, and finds that not only is President Bush winning the argument, but that the Left is losing:

Bush at the U.N.: Another Political Masterstroke?

President Bush has been so busy lately giving speeches and taking questions about terrorism and Iraq and the ideological battle against Islamo-fascism that he's practically owned the airwaves. Which is just what Karl Rove wanted. Bush's address at the United Nations General Assembly today may have been a long-scheduled, annual diplomatic event. But it was also a key piece in an elaborate Labor Day political strategy devised by the man whose job it is to keep Republicans in control of Congress in November and thereby salvage the President's legacy. In the past two and half weeks Bush has given a major address on detainee policy, a series of speeches surrounding the five-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and an extensive press conference — all of them covered as Presidential rather than political events by the cable channels and, for the most part, the broadcast networks. ABC even broke into its daytime programming to carry Bush's United Nations speech this morning. The result has been saturation coverage of the President talking tough on terror, just as Rove planned.

Democrats and some observers have argued that the old strategy — that making the election about national security, a traditional G.O.P. strength — wouldn't work this time because voters have gotten wise to it and are generally fed up. But this morning's Gallup Poll numbers in USA Today suggest otherwise; Democrats may have reason to panic. Bush's approval at 44% isn't great, but it's a 12-month high. Still better news for the G.O.P. is the so-called "generic " — in which likely voters say whether they plan to vote Republican or Democratic in congressional races this fall. The result — a 48-48% tie — is potentially catastrophic for the Democrats. Recent polling history suggests the Dems need at least a 5-point advantage in the generic just to break even in the midterms. This is just one poll, and it's just a snapshot. The Democrats' advantage may reappear. But for now, it's clear that Rove's strategy is working.

As politics, the President's United Nations speech was genius. It almost didn't matter what he said as long as he talked tough. He lectured the bad guys — Syria, Iran, Hamas, etc. — and promised to stay the course in Iraq. He invoked 9/11. He said he hoped for a diplomatic solution to the nuclear crisis with Iran but offered no new means to achieve it. He was Presidential. Expect another bump up in the polls.

You know that the MSM is panicking when they start calling President Bush "presidential." This way, when the Republicans either win seats or do not lose as many as predicted - especially if they hold onto one or both houses of Congress - the media can claim, "Hey! We saw this happening in September."

Sorry, folks, but we saw it happening in July.

Congressional Quarterly Predicts that Republicans Will Hold the House and Senate

Congressional Quarterly, taking a look at new polling numbers across the United States, makes a bold prediction now, 6 weeks before the November elections: the Republicans will retain control of the House and Senate.

Wow!

CQ 2006 Election Forecast Map

D 203 Seats
R 220 Seats
No Clear Favorite 12

If the Downies collect all 12 seats in the "no clear favorite" category, they still fall 3 seats shy of winning the House.

And as President Bush's numbers improve, and gas prices continue to fall, more of these 12 seats will go Republican.

Respected Scientist Says: Global Warming is BUNK

Dr. William Gray, a respected scientist whose specialties include climate studies and the study of hurricane activity, said what needed to be said: global warming, at least that allegedly caused by humans, is a fake issue, and those who push it know it is fake.

Finally: a crack in the wall. Now let's see the water spill out and drown this false story, once and for all.

Colorado State professor disputes global warming is human-caused

Global warming is happening, but humans are not the cause, one of the nation’s top experts on hurricanes said Monday morning.

Bill Gray, who has studied tropical meteorology for more than 40 years, spoke at the Larimer County Republican Club Breakfast about global warming and whether humans are to blame. About 50 people were at the talk.

Gray, who is a professor at Colorado State University, said human-induced global warming is a fear perpetuated by the media and scientists who are trying to get federal grants.

“I think we’re coming out of the little ice age, and warming is due to changes to ocean circulation patterns due to salinity variations,” Gray said. “I’m sure that’s it.”

Gray’s view has been challenged, however.

Roger Pielke Jr., director of the Center for Science and Technology Policy Research at the University of Colorado, said in an interview later Monday that climate scientists involved with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change concluded that most of the warming is due to human activity.

“Bill Gray is a widely respected senior scientist who has a view that is out of step with a lot of his colleagues’,” Pielke said. But challenging widely held views is “good for science because it forces people to make their case and advances understanding.”

“We should always listen to the minority,” said Pielke, who spoke from his office in Boulder. “But it’s prudent to take actions that both minimize human effect on the climate and also make ourselves much more resilient.”

At the breakfast, Gray said Earth was warmer in some medieval periods than it is today. Current weather models are good at predicting weather as far as 10 days in advance, but predicting up to 100 years into the future is “a great act of faith, and I don’t believe any of it,” he said.

Dr. William Gray should be labeled as a hero for the human race. He is speaking out against the anti-capitalist and pro-socialist scientists who perpetrate the global warming charade, and he has put his reputation on the line to face down these liars. Cheers to him.

The BBC Blames America for Perverted Muslim Behavior

The Pope said Muslims bring violence to spread their religion. To protest, they threaten violence even after the Pope apologizes. The BBC, in another anti-American moment, blames Muslim behavior and threats on...who else? The United States.

We can never win when it comes to the sick fucks at the BBC.

Fresh criticism of Pope's remarks

Criticism is mounting from religious and political leaders in the Muslim world following remarks by Pope Benedict XVI about Islam.

[...]

The BBC's Arab affairs analyst, Magdi Abdelhadi, says the reason for the vehemence of Muslim reaction is simple: America's global "war on terror" is perceived by many Muslims as a modern crusade against Islam.

There it is, folks. When Muslims are violent, it is because America is fighting Islamic violence.

Round and round we go, and the BBC makes the whole world puke.

Another Downie...Caught in Corruption? Say It Isn't So!

Another Downie has been targeted for being involved in corruption. Nancy Pelosi (D-Nutjob) had no comment.

Report: N.J. Senator Had No-Work Job

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. (AP) -- A powerful southern New Jersey politician was paid for a no-work job at a scandal-ridden state university while helping the school garner millions of dollars in new state funding, according to a report released Monday.

The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey paid state Sen. Wayne Bryant, chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, $35,000 a year "to lobby himself in his capacity of state senator," according to the report of a federal monitor who had investigated the school's finances.

The report said all Bryant appeared to do at the university's School of Osteopathic Medicine was show up for three hours most Tuesdays to read newspapers.

Bryant, a Democrat, was the sole subject of the report released Monday. He did not return calls seeking comment and did not show up to an event he was expected to attend on Monday at a college near Newark.

New polls are showing that not only did the "culture of corruption" canard not work for Downies, but their lead against Republicans has vanished as well.

When your party stands for nothing and lies about everything else, you have no chance of winning.

The Continued Downfall of American Education

We have teachers who have sex with students, teachers who tell their students that President Bush is a criminal, and teachers who mock every religion but Islam.

Now, we have a teacher reinstated to his job after he was suspended for watching porn on his computer in class.

Reinstated? Wow! But check out what the arbitration panel gave as a reason to reinstate:

Porn-watching teacher reinstated

An arbitration panel today reinstated Cedarburg High School science teacher Robert Zellner, who was fired by the school district after it discovered he had viewed pornographic material on his school computer.

School Board President John Pendergast said the arbitrator determined that the firing was improper because the school district had only reprimanded another teacher who had viewed stock quotes from a school computer.

That's the new liberalism: if you view pornography in school, it is no worse than viewing stock quotes.

Yikes!

Another Downie in Ethical Trouble...Will the Media Cover This Like the Plame Non-Affair?

When Republicans like Scooter Libby get in trouble, the MSM media whores get in such a lather that they spend 24/7 covering the non-story: for instance, "Will Karl Rove get indicted?" Never mind that he was not - also, never mind that it turned out that he was not the source of the Valerie Plame leak. The media pounced when the story looked juicy, but once it went sour they moved on to more important matters, such as what killed Anna Nicole Smith's son.

However, now we have a sitting US Senator up for election to a seat he was appointed to, being investigated for potential corruption. Juicy, right? A story to be told, right?

Wrong! Because the subject of the story is Senator Bob Menendez, and he just happens to be a Bush basher and a Downie.

Oops, says the media. Nothing here to see. Go away.

New Jersey Switcheroo

For pure entertainment value, not much can compete with the blood sport of New Jersey politics. Last week federal investigators launched a probe into whether U.S. Senator Robert Menendez illegally benefited to the tune of more than $300,000 from a rental-income deal he had with a nonprofit agency that received millions of dollars in federal contracts. Even liberal good government groups agree that the relationship may have violated congressional conflict-of-interest rules.

The allegations have sparked a mini-panic among state Democratic operatives, who not so long ago thought Mr. Menendez -- who was appointed by Jon Corzine to complete his Senate term after being elected Governor in 2005 -- had the November election in the bag. Now they see Republican Tom Kean Jr. surging into a lead. If Republicans were to pick up a seat in this deep blue state, Democrats' chances of winning control of the Senate would be all but slammed shut.

That's why, as reported by the Newark Star-Ledger, there's now widespread speculation that the party brass may decide to throw Mr. Menendez overboard and replace him with an alternative -- nine-term Rep. Rob Andrews, perhaps -- who is regarded as more electable. This has become a familiar practice in the Garden State and has become known derisively as the New Jersey Switcheroo.

The Downies pulled this same shit in 2002 when Senator Robert Torricelli was caught in a web of scandal and, contrary to state law, the Downies were allowed to substitute Frank Lautenberg, who went on to win a seat the Downies desperately needed.

Change the rules, ignore the story, forget ethics. Downies and media whores collaborate to tell half the story, and they are allowed to get away with it. Shameful.

The Pope Speaks the Truth; Subhuman Muslims Go Into Full Protest Overdrive

Pope Benedict XVI, speaking in his native Germany, did a terrible thing: he labeled Islam as a religion of violent fruitcakes. Of course, in this day and age, if you do anything but kiss the smelly ass of Muslims and deign to question their sick cult, you get either condemnation or suicide bombers - or both.

The Pope did it this time. He spoke the truth.

Merkel: Critics misunderstand Pope

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has defended Pope Benedict XVI against allegations that he had attacked Islam, saying critics had misunderstood comments the Pope made this week during a visit to his native Germany.

[...]

The Pope on Tuesday repeated criticism of Prophet Muhammad by the 14th century Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Palaeologus, who said everything Muhammad brought was evil "such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."

Now, wait a second - the Pope was quoting someone - from the 14th century no less! (Then again, Muslims haven't advanced since the 14th century, so we can see the relevance.)

The Muslims are going ape-shit: the Pakistani legislature ("condoning Islamic terrorism since 1992") even voted to condemn the Pope's comments. The Pope is condemned! Yow!

But, take notice of what the Pope said - that Mohammad (Peace be Upon His Beanie) has commanded that his faith be spread by a sword. This ticked off Islam, right?

Now, check out what one Muslim dick states - and tell us how off the Pope was:

Pope comments explosive in Mideast: analysts

"Traditionally, Ramadan is also a month of combat where supporters of the jihad galvanise the warlike heat of the `soldiers of God` against Crusaders and non-believers," said Gad.

Yup, the Pope said that Muslims want to spread Islam through violence. And they condemn his remarks by threatening to spread Islam through violence.

Hilarious as usual. Pathetic, but hilarious.

The Mentality of the Left: Sick, Disturbed, and Psychotic

If you listen long enough to the Left in America, you find a group of people so delusional that they believe that we are not at war, that President Bush is more of an enemy to America than Osama bin Laden, and that we can pull out of Iraq and that Islamic terrorists (if, as they believe, any do exist) will just stay away; after all, they contend, Bush was behind 9/11, not some Islamic nice guys.

Read right into the letter to The Colorado Springs Independent, a rag of a newspaper for leftwing losers who cannot read regular newspapers - a nut who is definitely in the mold of Howard Dean:

Peddling fear

After watching Bush's speech Monday night, I felt like I'd been raped. I felt so filthy just watching the man that I wanted to shave off the top three layers of my skin and burn them.

The mind-boggling gall of this man, to go on TV and tell America to unite behind his "War on Terror," which is, at best, a serial failure, is a tremendous kick in the crotch to America in general and, in particular, all those who lost friends and loved ones in New York, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania.

To have this brain-dead hack hawking his insane brand of politics on a day that should have been spent in quiet reflection and mourning is the most shameless peddling of fear I can imagine. Shame on you, George W. Bush, shame.

This loon was raped by Bush speaking on 9/11, but somehow he supported Bill Clinton, a true rapist who used the power of his office to intimidate women and harass them so he could get sexual favors. Rape from whom again?

Remember, folks: every vote for a Downie is a vote to empower this slimy motherfucker to continue on without some major psychiatric assistance.

Leftwing Gunman Goes on Rampage: An Update

The nut in Canada who killed one woman before taking his own worthless life is being remembered for the loon he was - but, as we predicted, the media whores in the US and Canada have ignored his leftwing views.

And the Left has found someone to blame for his rampage...the gun lobby in the US.

Police say Montreal gunman killed self

MONTREAL - A 25-year-old man who mounted a deadly shooting rampage at a downtown Montreal college had posted pictures of himself on the Internet with a rifle and said he was feeling "crazy" and "postal" and was drinking whiskey hours before the attack.

[...]

Canadian laws prohibit the possession of unregistered handguns, and the rules for ownership of registered guns are stringent. Many politicians and police contend illegal guns flowing across the U.S.-Canada border are behind a recent spike in firearm violence.

The message? Nuts with guns don't kill people - the NRA does.

The Media and Polls: Lies, Distortions, and a Lack of Reality

Time after time, we have shown how when President Bush's job approval ratings have dipped down, the American media whores start their stories on the poll numbers with "President Bush's approval ratings continue to plummet," as if going from 35 to 33 percent is "plummeting." Yet, somehow, when the President's numbers go from that same 33 to 40, or 42, percent, the media whores either ignore the numbers or mention them along with "but so and so number of people are against the war in Iraq."

In 2006, we find the same thing happening with the mid-term election numbers. Earlier this year, polling showed bad news for Republicans in the House and Senate: the American people wanted a change, the media said. Downies were heavily favored to regain control of the House, make a run for the Senate, blah blah blah. You could see the smiles on the faces of the reporters and news readers as they told of the impending implosion of Republican rule in Washington.

Well, a funny little thing happened to those hopes and dreams of the leftist American media: the American people turned on a dime and said "Whoa! Wait one minute there! We haven't elected the Downies to anything yet!" Starting in July, the terrible numbers for the GOP turned north for them and south for the Downies; in August the trend continued, and now, in September, the two parties are at parity...in short, the chances of a Downie takeover are significantly less than 2 months ago. But does the media announce this? Of course not. Because - poor schmucks that they are - they realize that in 2004 they had George W. Bush defeated in April, May, and June, only to see him win a second term in November. They had Speaker Nancy Pelosi all but assured on Memorial Day; by Labor Day she was back to being "Minority Leader Pelosi."

Poor Downies. Relying on the media whores once again, they got hoisted on their own pitard.

Gallup Poll Offers Hope for House GOP

The September consensus: nearly unanimous. “Voter anxiety over the economy, health care and financial security,” the Washington Post’s Dan Balz observed, “threatens to put Republican candidates across the country on the defensive this fall.” Veteran Congress watcher Stuart Rothenberg predicted “a heavy-damage scenario for the Republicans.” The House minority leader even guaranteed that “we’re going to win the House back.”

Those prognostications were made in September 2002, before the last mid-term election, and they were all wrong. Far from incurring irreparable political damage, House Republicans spent September and October rallying their political base—then regained control of the Senate and picked up three House seats.

Four years later, Republican lawmakers are again facing ominous headlines: “GOP’s Hold On House Shakier” (Los Angeles Times), “GOP Seen to Be in Peril of Losing House” (New York Times) and “More GOP Districts Counted as Vulnerable: Number Doubled Over the Summer” (Washington Post). Balz again offered an ominous assessment of Republican prospects, attributing the Republicans’ dire political straits to “President Bush’s low approval ratings, the sharp divisions over the war in Iraq, dissatisfaction with Congress and economic anxiety caused by high gasoline prices and stagnant wages.” With independent voters “alienated” and the Democratic base “energized,” once-safe Republican incumbents are now “on the defensive.”

Ignored was a Gallup Poll released in late August that found an unexpected tightening in what pollsters call the “generic ballot” question: “If the election were being held today, which party’s candidate would you vote for in your congressional district?” Pundits looking to assess the national mood regularly cite the results of this question, and did so promiscuously earlier this year when Democrats enjoyed seemingly insurmountable advantages such as 54% to 38% in late June, or 51% to 40% immediately before Congress’ August recess.

But then something happened as lawmakers spent August reconnecting with their constituents. The advantage for the generic Democratic candidate slipped from 11 points in late July, to nine points in early August, and then to a statistically insignificant two points (47% to 45%) in its August 18-20 survey. Among those most likely to vote, moreover, the Democrats’ advantage disappeared entirely, with Gallup reporting a dead heat: 48% to 48%.

The question to be asked is: how did the landscape change? Well, it began in late July - so, what happened in July/August? "Creepy" Ned Lamont beat Joe Lieberman in the Downie primary in Connecticut, that's what. That may not have been the whole catalyst, but the thought that Lieberman, a center-left Downie, could be defeated by a far left anti-war nutjob scared the shit out of independents and Republicans who had thought of staying home. Further, the news that Muslims in Britain were out to blow up 10 US airliners out of England made more of these voters realize that the Downtrodden Party offers nothing for this country but defense of terrorists' rights and wobbliness on security of the homeland.

Of course, these numbers could change again, and the GOP could still lose one house or both. But the overwhelming advantage held by the Downies 2 and 3 months ago is gone, and the American media, delusional and in the hip pocket of the Left, won't tell you that, because it makes them look bad.

Off-Air America Will Declare Bankruptcy; Liberals Believe that "Progressive Radio Remains Strong"

The final days of the psycho leftwing talkathon known as "Air America" are upon us, as their ratings plummet and their money dries up.

Think Progress, a leftwing website for nuts, announced the news.

But they also claim that "Progressive Radio remains strong." This is the same as someone saying, "The Hindenburg just blew up - but passenger travel by blimps is not going away any time soon." For those with a lack of historical sense, the Hindenburg disaster marked the end of travel by dirigibles. The end of Air America marks the end of "progressive radio."

Air America To Declare Bankruptcy, But Progressive Radio Remains Strong

Air America Radio will announce a major restructuring on Friday, which is expected to include a bankruptcy filing, three independent sources have told ThinkProgress.

Air America could remain on the air under the deal, but significant personnel changes are already in the works. Sources say five Air America employees were laid off yesterday and were told there would be no severance without capital infusion or bankruptcy. Also, Air America has ended its relationship with host Jerry Springer.

The right wing is sure to seize on Air America’s financial woes as a sign that progressive talk radio is unpopular. In fact, Air America succeeded at creating something that didn’t exist: the progressive talk radio format. That format is now established and strong and will continue with or without Air America.

"Progressive radio" is dead as a doornail, and only those but the braindead left will come to realize it.

Two notes on the telling of this story: Think Progress listed this report under "social and economic justice." Perhaps the Left believes that when an unpopular radio network dies due to lack of money, it is not "economic justice," whatever that means. Perhaps more socialist programs for untalented leftwingers is what they want. Who knows any more?

Even funnier, however, are the comments below the story, like this one from an obviously deluded imbecile:

I’m saddened by this. I’m going over to their website right now and joining their premium service. It’s the least I can do. If enought [sic] others did this, it might help.

Yep - head on over to the site of a soon-to-be bankrupt company and pay for their "premium service."

Liberals: they know the price of everything but the value of nothing.

Whackjob Kills One in School Shooting in Canada; Media Covers Up His Searing Case of BDS

We have another school shooting, but this time it is in "progressive" and "anti-gun" Canada. How this could happen in such a liberal, friendly society where bad conservatives do not have any power is a mystery that we are sure will be covered by both the Canadian and American media whores.

One part of the story we are sure that will be ignored, forgotten, untouched, is the searing case of Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS) suffered by the terminal fruitcake who did the shooting.

This is not the original site - that has been taken down. And why not? Isn't it a proud moment when some leftwing fanatic kills someone?

Euro-Peon Kisses Islamic Ass

The Euro-peons seem to have a problem which has lasted for centuries: they kiss the ass of their enemies, and when those enemies turn on them, they call on the United States, or some other power, to rescue them.

The Peons know how to criticize Israel, but for some reason they embrace the Islamic cancer within their own borders.

Now steps forward one Piet Hein Donner (of the Donner Party?), the Justice Minister of the Netherlands, who told reporters that if a majority of his country want shari'a law, well, then, they should have it.

Minister Donner then puckered up and planted a huge fat kiss right on the ass of the Cancer of Islam.

Minister Welcomes Sharia In Netherlands If Majority Wants It

THE HAGUE, 13/09/06 - Justice Minister Piet Hein Donner considers the Netherlands should give Muslims more freedoms to behave according to their traditions. Muslims refusing to shake hands is fine with him. And Sharia law could be introduced in the Netherlands democratically, in the minister's view.

Muslims have the right to experience their religion in ways that diverge from Dutch social codes, accordign to the Christian democrat (CDA) minister. He thinks Queen Beatrix was very wise not to insist on a Muslim leader shaking hands with her when she visited his mosque in The Hague earlier this year.

Integration Minister Verdonk did previously scold an imam who would not shake her hand. Without directly referring to this incident, Donner considers "a tone that I do not like has crept into the political debate. A tone of: 'Thou shalt assimilate. Thou shalt adopt our values in public. Be reasonable, do it our way'. That is not my approach".

When Islam drives Europe into another war, and it will, we should tell the Peons: you got yourselves into this mess, and you get yourselves out. No more US troops like we sent in World War I and World War II and Bosnia. Fight your own battles for once.

But, this time, the Peons will allow the cancer to metastasize with the aid and assistance of psycho assholes like Piet Hein Donner.

Senate Downies Say "No Saddam-al Qaeda Link," Despite Evidence to the Contrary

The Downies in the US Senate and US House are doing their best to make it look like President Bush lied to get us into war in Iraq. No WMD? Of course not, despite evidence to the contrary. No Saddam terrorism? Of course not, despite evidence to the contrary.

Now, of course, the Downies need to knock down another part of the reason we went to war: that Saddam has links to al-Qaeda. After all, didn't the 9/11 Commission cover these links specifically, one by one?

That doesn't matter to the treasonous Downies...they need to make it look like President Bush made the whole thing up.

And the American media whores ate this non-story up.

First, the story, following by proof the Downies ignored showing those links between Saddam and bin Laden.

U.S. Senate Intelligence report finds no Saddam-al-Qaida link

WASHINGTON — Saddam Hussein rejected overtures from al-Qaida and believed Islamic extremists were a threat to his regime, a reverse portrait of an Iraq allied with Osama bin Laden painted by the Bush White House, a Senate panel has found.

The administration’s version was based in part on intelligence that White House officials knew was flawed, according to Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee, citing newly declassified documents released by the panel.

The report, released Friday, discloses for the first time an October 2005 CIA assessment that prior to the war Saddam’s government “did not have a relationship, harbor or turn a blind eye toward” al-Qaida operative Abu Musab al-Zarqawi or his associates.

As recently as an Aug. 21 news conference, President Bush said people should “imagine a world in which you had Saddam Hussein” with the capacity to make weapons of mass destruction and “who had relations with Zarqawi.”

Democrats singled out CIA Director George Tenet, saying that during a private meeting in July Tenet told the panel that the White House pressured him and that he agreed to back up the administration’s case for war despite his own agents’ doubts about the intelligence it was based on.

“Tenet admitted to the Intelligence Committee that the policymakers wanted him to ’say something about not being inconsistent with what the president had said,”’ Intelligence Committee member Carl Levin, D-Mich., told reporters Friday.

Tenet also told the committee that complying had been “the wrong thing to do,” according to Levin.

How interesting - NOW Tenet says that he was pressured to back the war, when all along he told President Bush that the WMD evidence was a "slam dunk."

Of course, Tenet was named DCI by Bill Clinton, which means he was part of a giant Liars' Club.

So, what was the proof that Saddam was working through many back doors with bin Laden and al-Qaeda? Just follow the stories in the media, which tend to forget all of this when it comes during their "We hate George W. Bush" rallies.

Let's see what that leftwing rag The Guardian of London was saying in 1999:

The Western nightmare: Saddam and Bin Laden versus the world

It must have been a bitterly cold and uncomfortable journey. In the last days of December, a group of Iraqi officials crossed the Hindu Kush border from Pakistan to Afghanistan on their way to keep an appointment deep in the remote eastern mountains.
At the head of the group was a man by the name of Farouk Hijazi, President Saddam Hussein's new ambassador to Turkey and one of Iraq's most senior intelligence officers. He had been sent on one of the most important assignments of his career - to recruit Osama bin Laden.

Thus the world's most notorious pariah state, armed with its half-built hoard of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons, tried to embrace the planet's most prolific terrorist. It was the stuff of the West's millennial nightmares, but United States intelligence officials are positive that the meeting took place, although they admit that they have no idea what happened.

This was not the first time that President Saddam had offered Mr Bin Laden a partnership. At least one approach is believed to have been made during the Saudi dissident's sojourn in Sudan from 1990 to 1996. On that occasion, the guerrilla leader turned the emissaries away, out of a pious man's contempt for President Saddam's secular Ba'athist regime.

But this time round Mr Bin Laden's options have been rapidly diminishing. His hosts, the hardline Taliban militia which rules Afghanistan under Islamic auspices, have vowed publicly to stand by him. But they are at the same time discussing with his worst enemies - the Saudi monarchy and the American government - his eventual departure from Afghan soil.

No comment from Carl "I am a Fucking Liar" Levin on this piece of news.

But, hold on - Levin even ignored his (former) comrade, US Senator Fritz Hollings, who in 2002 noted that in July 2001 an Iraqi newspaper mentioned that bin Laden was about to hit the US with a wave of terrorism. Remember that Iraqi newspapers in those days were all mouthpieces for the Saddam Hussein regime.

So, how did they know this ahead of time? Carl Levin can't say, because he is busy lying.

HOMELAND SECURITY ACT OF 2002

Here is a news story from July 21, 2001, before 9/11 of last year, in the Iraqi news. The name of that particular newspaper is Al-Nasiriya. Quoting from it:

Bin Ladin has become a puzzle and a proof also, of the inability of the American federalism and the CIA to uncover the man and uncover his nest. The most advanced organizations of the world cannot find the man and continues to go in cycles in illusion and presuppositions.

It refers to an exercise called "How Do You Bomb the White House." They were planning it. Let me read this to all the colleagues here:

The phenomenon of Bin Ladin is a healthy phenomenon in the Arab spirit. It is a decision and a determination that the stolen Arab self has come to realize after it got bored with promises of its rulers; After it disgusted itself from their abomination and their corruption, the man had to carry the book of God . . . and write on some white paper "If you are unable to drive off the Marines from the Kaaba, I will do so." It seems that they will be going away because the revolutionary Bin Ladin is insisting very convincingly that he will strike America on the arm that is already hurting.

In other words, the World Trade Towers. Here, over a year ahead of time in the open press in Iraq, they are writing that this man is planning not only to bomb the White House, but where they are already hurting, the World Trade Towers.

Comment from Levin? Not at this time.

Now, we have a note from Jane's Foreign Report, which reported just after the 9/11 attacks that Israeli intelligence was telling us that representatives of the Iraqi government were constantly traveling to Afghanistan to meet not with bin Laden but his number 2, Ayman al Zawahiri.

Levin's take? He was in the toilet.

Who did it? Foreign Report presents an alternative view

The Iraqis, who for several years paid smaller groups to do their dirty work, were quick to discover the advantages of Al-Qaeda. The Israeli sources claim that for the past two years Iraqi intelligence officers were shuttling between Baghdad and Afghanistan, meeting with Ayman Al Zawahiri. According to the sources, one of the Iraqi intelligence officers, Salah Suleiman, was captured last October by the Pakistanis near the border with Afghanistan. The Iraqis are also reported to have established strong ties with Imad Mughniyeh.

"We’ve only got scraps of information, not the full picture," admits one intelligence source, "but it was good enough for us to send a warning six weeks ago to our allies that an unprecedented massive terror attack was expected. One of our indications suggested that Imad Mughniyeh met with some of his dormant agents on secret trips to Germany. We believe that the operational brains behind the New-York attack were Mughniyeh and Zawahiri, who were probably financed and got some logistical support from the Iraqi Intelligence Service (SSO)."

[...]

Experts on Iraq and Saddam Hussein also believe that Iraq was the state behind the two terror masterminds. "In recent months, there was a change, and Iraq decided to get into the terror business. On July 7th, they tried for the first time to send a suicide bomber, trained in Baghdad, to blow up Tel Aviv airport (Foreign Report No. 2651)."

Our sources believe that it will be very difficult to get to the bottom of this unprecedented terror operation. However, they believe the chief of the Iraqi SSO is Qusai Hussein, the dictator’s son, and his organisation is the most likely to have been involved.

Hmmm...we know that Saddam was funding Palestinian terrorists with $25,000 checks - so how far did he need go to fund other forms of Islamic terror? Carl Levin can't tell you - because he will say anything to get his sick party elected to a majority.

But wait - didn't Levin allege that President Bush said that Iraq was behind the 9/11 attacks, even though he didn't? Because Levin was aiming at the wrong party...it was a group of 9/11 victims' families who sued Iraq, not al-Qaeda, for their role in the terrorist attacks.

Iraq? Is that possible?

You betcha.

11 September victims sue Iraq

Victims and relatives of victims of the 11 September tragedy are suing Iraq and its leader Saddam Hussein for their alleged role in the attacks on the United States.

Two lawsuits are being filed by 1,400 plaintiffs in a Manhattan federal court to demand a total of more than $1,000bn from Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden and his al-Qaeda network and the former Taleban rulers in Afghanistan.

Jim Kreindler, one of the lawyers bringing the case, said that these would be the first actions to provide "evidence" of Iraq's alleged involvement in the attacks.

Damages are also being claimed from the estates of the hijackers who crashed the four airliners into the twin towers of the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania.

The lawsuits say that Iraq had sworn revenge for its defeat by America in the 1991 Gulf War.

"In order to avoid another confrontation with US military forces, Iraq contracted with or sponsored Islamic fundamentalists who were willing to commit terrorist acts on Iraq's behalf," they say.

Interesting, eh, Mr. Levin?

How about this...a story about how 9/11 conspirators were invited to take refuge...in Iraq! By the Iraqi Ambassador to Spain pre-invasion! The conspirator was a man - remember this one, Mr. Levin - who had been photographed at one of bin Laden's terrorist training camps!

Links? Ties? What do you call this?

Spain links suspect in 9/11 plot to Baghdad

An alleged terrorist accused of helping the 11 September conspirators was invited to a party by the Iraqi ambassador to Spain under his al-Qaeda nom de guerre, according to documents seized by Spanish investigators.
Yusuf Galan, who was photographed being trained at a camp run by Osama bin Laden, is now in jail, awaiting trial in Madrid. The indictment against him, drawn up by investigating judge Baltasar Garzon, claims he was 'directly involved with the preparation and carrying out of the attacks ... by the suicide pilots on 11 September'.

Evidence of Galan's links with Iraqi government officials came to light only recently, as investigators pored through more than 40,000 pages of documents seized in raids at the homes of Galan and seven alleged co-conspirators. The Spanish authorities have supplied copies to lawyers in America, and this week the documents will form part of a dossier to be filed in a federal court in Washington, claiming damages of approximately $100 billion on behalf of more than 2,500 11 September victims.

The lawsuit lists Saddam's government in Iraq as one of its principal defendants, claiming it provided 'material support' to the al-Qaeda terrorists. Under US law, the victims' families do not have to prove active direction or involvement in the details of the 9/11 conspiracy by Iraq, only that Saddam's regime gave al-Qaeda more general assistance in the knowledge that it was planning to attack American targets.

And for those words about being "pressured" by the White House?

Although some Western intelligence officials have expressed scepticism about an al-Qaeda-Iraq link, in recent months George Tenet, the Director of the CIA, has made increasingly strong statements alleging such a connection. In Congressional testimony last month, he said that Iraq had co-operated with al-Qaeda for 10 years, and that it had trained al-Qaeda members in bombmaking and the use of chemical and biological weapons. In an apparent attempt to refute the sceptics, he said this information 'comes from reliable sources'.

Aw, shucks, Mr. Levin...that doesn't sound like pressure to us!

Finally, but not least, a devastating discovery of documents by Iraqi and US forces in Baghdad, which link Saddam to al Qaeda.

Carl Levin was unavailable for comment, as usual.

The proof that Saddam worked with bin Laden

Iraqi intelligence documents discovered in Baghdad by The Telegraph have provided the first evidence of a direct link between Osama bin Laden's al-Qa'eda terrorist network and Saddam Hussein's regime.

Papers found yesterday in the bombed headquarters of the Mukhabarat, Iraq's intelligence service, reveal that an al-Qa'eda envoy was invited clandestinely to Baghdad in March 1998.

The documents show that the purpose of the meeting was to establish a relationship between Baghdad and al-Qa'eda based on their mutual hatred of America and Saudi Arabia. The meeting apparently went so well that it was extended by a week and ended with arrangements being discussed for bin Laden to visit Baghdad.

The papers will be seized on by Washington as the first proof of what the United States has long alleged - that, despite denials by both sides, Saddam's regime had a close relationship with al-Qa'eda.

The Telegraph found the file on bin Laden inside a folder lying in the rubble of one of the rooms of the destroyed intelligence HQ. There are three pages, stapled together; two are on paper headed with the insignia and lettering of the Mukhabarat.

They show correspondence between Mukhabarat agencies over preparations for the visit of al-Qa'eda's envoy, who travelled to Iraq from Sudan, where bin Laden had been based until 1996. They disclose what Baghdad hopes to achieve from the meeting, which took place less than five months before bin Laden was placed at the top of America's most wanted list following the bombing of two US embassies in east Africa.

Perhaps aware of the sensitivities of the subject matter, Iraqi agents at some point clumsily attempted to mask out all references to bin Laden, using white correcting fluid. The dried fluid was removed to reveal the clearly legible name three times in the documents.

One paper is marked "Top Secret and Urgent". It is signed "MDA", a codename believed to be the director of one of the intelligence sections within the Mukhabarat, and dated February 19, 1998. It refers to the planned trip from Sudan by bin Laden's unnamed envoy and refers to the arrangements for his visit.

A letter with this document says the envoy is a trusted confidant of bin Laden. It adds: "According to the above, we suggest permission to call the Khartoum station [Iraq's intelligence office in Sudan] to facilitate the travel arrangements for the above-mentioned person to Iraq. And that our body carry all the travel and hotel costs inside Iraq to gain the knowledge of the message from bin Laden and to convey to his envoy an oral message from us to bin Laden."

The letter refers to al-Qa'eda's leader as an opponent of the Saudi Arabian regime and says that the message to convey to him through the envoy "would relate to the future of our relationship with him, bin Laden, and to achieve a direct meeting with him."

With this report, Carl Levin and the other traitorous Downies have set down their marker: they wish to do more to protect terrorists and those who wish to destroy America than Americans themselves. And every American who pulls the voting lever to help elect Downies is telling the world that he or she does not care if al Qaeda comes for us - because that is what they are voting for.

Man Arrested in Airport Carrying in Knife in a Book...Is he a ______?

A man has been arrested in an airport in Michigan carrying a knife placed in a hole in a book.

The man denies it is his knife.

Somehow, however, he purchased a one-way ticket to Yemen. Strangely, the article does not mention his religion.

Strange!

Man arrested in airport knife scare

ROMULUS, Mich. - A man with a one-way ticket to Yemen attempted to board a plane with a knife hidden in a book, authorities said.

Mohammed Ghanem, 21, of Hamtramck, was jailed Saturday on $500,000 after being arraigned on a charge of possessing a weapon in the sterile area of an airport.

Ghanem was arrested Thursday at Detroit Metropolitan Airport after Transportation Security Administration officers detected the knife "artfully concealed" in the book, airport spokesman Michael Conway said.

Someone had carved out the inside of the book and placed the knife inside it, said Ghanem's attorney, Nabih Ayad.

"He said he didn't know where the knife came from," Ayad told the Detroit Free Press.

How bizarre! A man, allegedly of the ______ religion, on a one-way ticket to Yemen, which is a ______ country, is carrying a knife which he denies got in a book he is a carrying.

Next up on Ripley's Believe it Or Not...

Atlantic Records Signs Terrorist Singer

For those who remember the US music scene in the 1970s, the name Cat Stevens will bring back memories, if not for his achingly drippy ballads, but his moves for "peace." Stevens converted to Islam, and now calls himself Yusuf Islam (very original, eh?). He has written some music over the years, but has spent most of his time making anti-Semitic statements and helping raise money for Hamas. For this reason, in 2005 when he traveled to the United States from his home in Britain his plane was stopped, he was turned around, and sent back.

Atlantic Records thinks it is a good time, right about the 5th anniversary of 9/11, to offer this nut a record contract.

Yusuf Islam Joins Atlantic Records; Former Cat Stevens Signs Pact for North America via Ya Records; First Pop Album in 28 Years Due in November

Sep 7, 2006 -- Atlantic Records has announced the signing of Yusuf Islam, formerly known as Cat Stevens, via a pact for North America with the artist's Ya Records label. Ya/Atlantic will release Yusuf's first album of modern pop songs in 28 years this November, which will also mark the 40th anniversary of the release of the first Cat Stevens record.

"We are thrilled and honored to welcome Yusuf into the Atlantic family," said Atlantic Chairman/CEO Craig Kallman. "He is one of the greatest singers and songwriters in history, and one of the personal heroes of my youth. Yusuf's new songs are as moving and timeless as the classics that inspired a generation. His spiritual quest is one of the most extraordinary stories of our time -- a life journey marked by courage, devotion, and transformation. We are all truly fortunate that Yusuf has chosen this moment to return to contemporary music, delivering a deeply heartfelt album that addresses peace, love, and the higher self."

Just our luck, we have gotten a list, not seen anywhere else, of some of the songs on Stevens', er, Islam's, new album:

- Get on the Islamic Train...or Die

- I am Being Followed by a Jewish Israeli Mossad Terrorist

- Wild Islamic World

- Christianity Has Broken

- The First Cut Across Your Throat is the Deepest

- The Hamas Hymnal

George Ryan Gets His Comeuppance

George Ryan, the crooked Republican who used to be the Governor of Illinois, used his last days in office to pardon 165 murderers off Illinois' death row - despite the fact that all were guilty as sin. It didn't matter that families of the victims begged Ryan not to do such a thing - he decided he was above the law and did it anyway.

Well, Ryan is NOT above the law now. Convicted of corruption, Ryan has been sentenced to 6 years in prison.

Ex-Gov. Ryan sentenced to six years in prison

CHICAGO, Illinois (AP) -- Former Illinois Gov. George Ryan, who was acclaimed by capital punishment foes for emptying out death row, was sentenced Wednesday to 6-1/2 years in prison for the corruption scandal that ruined his political career.

"When they elected me as the governor of this state, they expected better, and I let 'em down and for that I apologize," the 72-year-old Republican said in court before hearing his sentence.

Federal prosecutors had asked for eight to 10 years in prison. Defense attorneys argued that even 2-1/2 years would deprive Ryan of the last healthy years of his life.

"Government leaders have an obligation to stand as the example. Mr. Ryan failed to meet that standard," U.S. District Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer said.

Ryan and about a dozen members of his family stood stoically as Pallmeyer imposed the sentence. He said "involuntary separation" from his wife of 50 years, Lura Lynn, would be "excruciating."

Aw, shucks. Serving time would deprive this prick of "the last healthy years of his life."

Oh, and wait: going to prison and being separated from his family would be "excrutiating."

Now, Mr. Ryan, you have a word which describes what you did to the families of victims whose murderers were on death row: you treated them to an "excruitating" harm.

Here's a wish: that Ryan spend his last "healthy" years in prison, that he is treated like a piece of crap in prison, and that he dies before he is paroled.

Now THAT would be justice. And it is due for George Ryan, American piece of crap.
