Hypocrisy, Thy Name is Europe

The Euro-peons continually whine about closing the terrorist prison at Guantanamo Bay. "It's against human rights" they wail. "It is not fair," they scream. "Those poor, poor terrorists," they yell. Even the UK's Foreign Minister Margaret Beckett, a former Socialist, made a fool of herself recently by again calling for the base to close the prison.

Of course, we could close the prison, but it appears that the Peons, in their mad rush to the well called hypocrisy, are refusing to take any of their people from Gitmo.

Wait...they are refusing? Why? After all, aren't these "poor terrorists" supposed to be allowed to go home?

Apparently not. You see, those angry and threatening Peons don't want them. They want the issue to scream about.

U.S. allies impede Guantanamo releases: report

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Britain and other U.S. allies have demanded closure of the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, but have also blocked efforts to let some prisoners return home, The Washington Post reported on Tuesday.

British officials recently rejected a U.S. offer to transfer 10 former British residents from Guantanamo to the United Kingdom, arguing that it would be too expensive to keep them under surveillance, the newspaper said, citing documents made public this month in London.

Britain has also staved off a legal challenge by the relatives of some prisoners who sued to require the British government to seek their release, The Washington Post said.

While all British citizens in Guantanamo were freed starting in 2004, Britain has balked at allowing former legal residents of the country to return, the newspaper said.

Germany and other European allies, which have spoken out against Guantanamo, also have balked at accepting prisoners from the facility, the Post said.

The utter breadth and depth of the hypocrisy of the Peons is simply staggering.

What Bush should do is take these terrorists, fly them to a US airport, and place them on aircraft and fly them to these countries. Then, when the planes land, the crews are instructed to throw the terrorists off onto the tarmac, turn around, and fly home. Let the Peons deal with what comes next. And when they yell and scream some more, Bush should simply say, "I did as you wanted - I let the terrorists go so we can close Guantanamo Bay. Isn't that what you wanted?"
