The Downtrodden Party: On the Verge of Civil War?

The Downies and their moronic allies in the American media like to use the term "civil war" to describe what is happening in Iraq. A "civil war" is defined as "a war between citizens of the same country." Well, if that definition need be used, so let us use it in relation not to Iraq, but to the Downtrodden Party in the United States.

Why? Because of the issue of Iraq. In Connecticut, the Downies have tossed aside Senator Joe Lieberman for nutty and loony "Creepy" Ned Lamont. In the US Senate, Downies are fighting over what to do about Lieberman, running as an Independent: should they punish him? At best, they are taking sides whether to support him or not. The likes of John Kerry have used the airwaves to mock Lieberman; other Downies are siding with Lieberman. Here are just a few examples of the internecine civil war going on in the Party of Dean, Murthafucker, and Pelosi:

Lieberman race creating Hawai'i dilemma

The strange alignment of Hawai'i's Democratic stars in Connecticut's Senate race between Joseph Lieberman and Ned Lamont is generating twisting plot lines in the local party as it deals with its own heated Senate race.

Sens. Daniel K. Inouye and Daniel Akaka both supported the incumbent Lieberman in last week's Democratic primary, as did U.S. Rep. Ed Case, who is challenging Akaka for the Hawai'i Senate seat.

But the three are going separate ways now that Lieberman is running as an independent after losing the primary to Lamont in a rush of voter resentment over Lieberman's support of President Bush's war policies in Iraq.

Akaka supports Democratic nominee Lamont, while Inouye and Case have said they'll forsake their party's nominee and back Lieberman in his independent run.

[...]

A few Democrats are discussing whether Inouye and Case should be sanctioned by the party for backing a candidate other than the Democratic nominee in Connecticut, noting that local party rules seriously frown on such disloyalty.

How nice!

We got this e-mail from our favorite asshole from Massachusetts, John Kerry (sorry, no link):

People who live in white houses shouldn't throw stones.

George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Karl Rove should know better, but it's no surprise they don't. For almost five years now, every time they've got their backs to the wall politically, they play "the fear card." The latest example: Dick Cheney claiming that Democratic candidates who dare to challenge the Bush White House on Iraq are "emboldening terrorists."

What's worse, and startling, is that in Connecticut Joe Lieberman is now echoing their intolerable rhetoric attacking the Democratic Senate nominee.

It won't work. We won't let it work.

Wow! John Kerry won't let it work! How manly of him!

But, in a final twist, Kerry goes on record with his support for "Creepy" Ned Lamont:

If the Bush administration could plan and execute the war on terror as well as it executes its shameless pre-election fear-mongering, we'd all be a lot safer.

That's what strong, principled Senate candidates like Ned Lamont, Bob Menendez, and Dan Akaka are making clear to voters in three of America's closest, high-stakes Senate contests.

There it is: Ned Lamont is a principled creep.

You heard it here first, folks.
