Senator Joe Biden, who was found in the 1980s to have "lifted" (stolen is the true word) speeches from British Labour leader Neil Kinnock, is now saying that he predicted 9/11.
Wait - he predicted it? Wow!
Not so fast, pardner. Biden predicted 9/11 like John Kerry predicted he would win the 2004 election.
Yet Another Biden'ism
While the Biden Indian-American line we gleaned from C-Span's Road to the White House has gotten a lot of play, there was another part of his New Hampshire speech that perked our ears.
Attacking the Bush admin's record on nat'l security (right after the 54-minute mark of the clip), Biden recalled that he gave a speech on September 10th, 2001 "predicting 9/11."
Now in fairness to Biden, he did use that 9/10/01 Nat'l Press Club address to excoriate the admin for focusing on Star Wars instead of unconventional threats such as biological and chemical terrorist attacks.
But, Senator, "predicting 9/11?"
Biden also made a crack about Indian-Americans this weekend, and now he has to apologize. He is slowly becoming a wisecrack among his own party of joker/losers.
