The Politicization of National Security
Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff, Lewis "Scooter" Libby, was indicted today by the runaway scumbag persecutor Patrick Fitzgerald for perjury and obstruction of justice. Fitzgerald was asked to find out who allegedly leaked the name of Valerie Plame, a former undercover CIA officer whose scumbag husband, Joe Wilson, lied about finding out that Iraq had tried to purchase uranium ore in Niger. Did Fitzgerald find who leaked her name? No. Did he find out if a law was broken in that manner? No. Instead, he indicted someone because they allegedly lied about the details of a meeting with VP Cheney.
When Bill Clinton lied about getting his dick sucked by an intern as he tried to stymie a woman's federal civil rights lawsuit, the liberals yawned and called it political. When Libby does not remember every detail of a meeting, the liberals scream "ah ha!" and celebrate their wounding of President Bush.
All of this is political bullshit.
What President Bush should do tonight is call this a political prosecution. He should then say that he is pardoning Libby and end this fiasco.
The liberals will have a hissy fit. But in the end this will subside by next week, and this political bullshit by liberals can end here and now.
