In Liberal World, a Loss is a Win...and Other Psychotic Leftist Ramblings

In the world of liberals, if you win you win. Well, that goes with any world. But in Liberal World, if you lose, you still win. Understand that? For instance, John Kerry losing the 2004 presidential campaign was a win for Hillary Clinton, despite the fact that her silly party lost more seats in the US Senate. Again: a loss is a win. Example 2: Downie Paul Hackett, an Iraq war vet (and big-mouthed scumbag), ran for a seat in the US House, and lost...yet, according to Downies, he won because he got more votes than was expected.

This just in: The Titanic sinking was not a disaster because more people could have died but didn't.

More Hackett Jobs

A win by Paul Hackett was always a longshot. Scratch that. Winning the Ohio 2nd, a district that went 64-36 for Bush in 2004, seemed more of a punchline than a longshot. Yet, in closing a yawing gap in one of the reddest places in the country, Democrats have accomplished something significant. Indeed, the National Journal 's Charlie Cook called the narrow 52-48 margin of victory for the Republican "a very serious warning sign for Ohio Republicans that something is very, very wrong."

Yep - President Bush won Ohio last November despite a lousy economy, and Schmidt beat Hackett, and the state is controlled by Republicans. And Downies keep losing seats there and everywhere else. But, in Liberal Land, as your party and movement slides more and more into obscurity, they call these losses "wins." As one general who lost thousands of troops in battle but was told that he had won the war once said, "One more victory like this and we shall be destroyed."

But only in Liberal Land is a loss a win - and it is a land of delusion and hilarity.
