The American Left and al-Qaeda: Sounding More and More Alike Each Passing Day

Michael Moore, Howard Dean, Ted Kennedy, Cindy Sheehan...If you listen to these nuts and their radical anti-American statements, you see a pattern. Now compare them to those pronouncements of the al-Qaeda terrorists - and you see how alike they sound.

Al Qaeda in Iraq issues virulent manifesto

Laying out its ideology in a broad manifesto, the group al Qaeda in Iraq - which has been behind many of the worst attacks, beheadings and kidnappings in Iraq - says the insurgency is in better shape than the United States acknowledges and vows to continue the insurgency and "destroy the American empire."

"Every now and then, the schoolboys of the Pentagon and the adolescents of the Black House keep blasting our ears with talks of pure arrogance and conviction saying, 'We will not leave Iraq until we accomplish our mission.' This desperate catchphrase that they keep repeating is used to make the public believe that the mujahedeens are in bad shape, as if they are begging the Americans, saying, 'Please Americans, leave Iraq,' " the group says in an e-book, an extensive document on the Internet.

"We vow by the name of God that we are determined to destroy the American empire," it says.

So, those were the terrorists. Now listen to "Mother" Sheehan, the faux pas leader of the American Left:

I finally figured out George Bush's NEW reason for staying in Iraq. This reason has also been co-opted by the Move America Forward and the poor mothers who would be honored if their sons were killed in George Bush's war for greed and power.

Since the Freedom and Democracy thing is not going so well and the Iraqi parliament is having such a hard time writing their constitution, since violence is mounting against Iraqis and Americans and since his poll numbers are going down everyday, he had to come up with something.

I have continually asked George Bush to quit using Casey's name and the names of the other Gold Star Families for Peace loved ones to justify his continued killing. He continues to say this: "We have to honor the sacrifices of the fallen by completing the mission." So the mission is now this: WE MUST CONTINUE KILLING AMERICANS BECAUSE AMERICANS HAVE ALREADY BEEN KILLED!!!

I wonder: does al-Qaeda and Cindy Sheehan and the Downtrodden National Committee all share the same PR firm? Or perhaps it is something far worse: these two groups of American haters have more in common than we think.
