More Disturbed Liberals on Parade
Read the following story and tell me that this does not sound like a bad novel - or a tale straight out of the disturbed thoughts of a lunatic. The first part of the story is tragic: a 75 year old woman was stabbed to death in a horrific attack in Berkeley, California, apparently by a mentally disturbed woman. But it is the rest of the story, as Paul Harvey says, that makes one shake their head. The suspect was not alone - she was with a mental health worker who witnessed the crime but did not try to stop it, did not call for help or call the police to tell them what had happened:

This is one of the most upsetting cases of a lack of human compassion I have heard about in some time. That it comes from Berkeley, the home of sickening liberalism, surprises me not.

OAKLAND — A mental health worker present when a teenage girl slashed the throat of an elderly Berkeley woman last month has been charged as an accessory to attempted murder, and further investigation could lead to more criminal counts against her, authorities said Tuesday.
Berkeley police attempted to arrest Hamaseh Kianfar, 30, at her Marin County home Tuesday, but she was not there. Sources said negotiations were under way between authorities and Kianfar's attorney for her surrender.
A no-bail warrant has been issued for Kianfar's arrest, and she could turn herself in as early as today, authorities said.
Her attorney, Laurel Headley, who is based in Emeryville, declined to comment on the case.
Kianfar works part time in the guidance center at Alameda County Juvenile Hall and for unknown reasons was walking with 16-year-old Marilyn Webster when, authorities say, the teenager pulled out a knife and slashed the throat of a 75-year-old woman the evening of March 16.
Webster was arrested two days after the attack and charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. Sources said that while she was being held at Alameda County Juvenile Hall, Webster called the throat slashing a "feasting" ritual. Sources said feasting is the consumption of human blood.
