Canadian PM Gets Poll Boost - From George W. Bush Meeting

Liberals seem to believe that Canadians all hate President Bush. Not so, according to a new poll in one of the most disgusting liberal rags in newspaperdom - The Globe and Mail of Toronto. PM Paul Martin got a boost in his approval ratings after he shook hands with President Bush during the President's recent trip to Canada, during which thousands of ignorant numbskulls protested and picketed the President.

Martin, not party, got Bush lift, poll says

OTTAWA -- Shaking hands and breaking bread with U.S. President George W. Bush in Ottawa last December helped Prime Minister Paul Martin boost his personal image among Canadians but is not enough to improve his fortunes at the ballot box and deliver him a majority government, a new poll says.

Mr. Bush's visit to Ottawa and Halifax late last year increased the Prime Minister's approval rating by eight points -- to 53 per cent from about 45 per cent just after the June election, according to research by the national polling firm Pollara for Carleton University's Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs.

Martin is not popular enough to form a majority government on his own, but it looks like not taking the road of his predecessor, noted dickhead Jean "I'm Just a Pothead" Chrétien, is working for Martin.

But don't let any of the American media outlets tell you this.

Comments:
darn those american media outlets, they are sooooo liberal.

The reason the Canadian PM doesn't have a majority is because they use a more democratic voting system than the US or Britain.

"darn those american media outlets, they are sooooo liberal."

Yeah - but not as liberal as those scumbag Canadian outlets.

"The reason the Canadian PM doesn't have a majority is because they use a more democratic voting system than the US or Britain."

Actually, this posting was all about how Martin's poll numbers went up after Bush came to Canada.

I see you conveniently forgot the mention that. I wonder why?
