Howard Dean Writes to Joobo

Downie National Committee chairman Howard "Jail 'em Before a Trial!" Dean wrote me a lovely missive, and I needed to post it here and at the same time respond to it. It is a wonderful message, loaded with the usual bullshit, horsecrap, and outright lies that Downies produce by the ton.

Dear _____,

On Memorial Day we honor those who have sacrificed in service to our country. With troops on the ground right now, and more lives and families transformed by the experience every day, this Memorial Day has an especially powerful urgency.

["Powerful urgency"? Downies doing anything but lathering the asses of America's worst enemies, causing general ennui amongst the masses due to standing for absolutely nothing, or jacking up everyone's taxes are the only things that Downies consider with "urgency." - Ed.]

Democrats believe that honoring the service of our troops and the sacrifices of their families cannot focus only on the past.

[The past? Do you mean saying "Vietnam" every three seconds is not "focusing on the past? - Ed.]

Since taking office as chairman, I have worked with many of you on a DNC Veterans and Military Families outreach project to reinforce our shared commitment that active service members, veterans and military families have their voices heard in our party.

[That's a start - considering Downies have spit, shit, and pissed on veterans and their families since the Vietnam War. - Ed.]

As a first step in your personal outreach to veterans and military families, I encourage you to take part in a permanent, living memorial to our veterans - the Library of Congress Veterans History Project. The project has collected over 33,000 oral histories and an archive of memorabilia from World War I through the current conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.
